About the Property
With quick, easy access to the Gulf and Atlantic Ocean, this home is perfect for fishing, snorkeling and boating. This three-bedroom, two-bath home, which sleeps eight, has a 45-foot dock with ample room for your boat. It is only one house away from the mouth of a deep-water canal that leads directly to the Gulf. There is plenty of off-street parking for your vehicles and boat trailer. A free local boat ramp is just a few blocks away. This home is designed for people who love to fish. It has a bait freezer, fish-cleaning station and deluxe gas grill. After you prepare your catch, you can dine indoors or outdoors on the wraparound deck while watching the sunset.
After a day of fishing and boating, take a dip in the swimming pool; then relax with friends and family in the new 7-person hot tub. Outside lighting illuminates the deck and pool and adds to the romance and ambience of the evening. You can also enjoy your favorite movies with the free WIFI and DVR from one of the four flat screen TVs.
Your vacation home is located at the end of a quiet street between a canal and nature sanctuary. So, after a restful night, start your day watching the sunrise over the peaceful nature preserve while sitting in the Adirondack captain chairs on the east side of the wraparound deck. Take advantage of the adjacent nature preserve to canoe or kayak to one of the locals' favorite snorkeling areas.
With more than 1,700 square feet under air, this home has multiple entertaining areas where you can spend time with family and friends or quiet time alone. The entry level has a den that offers an entertaining area with a TV, sleeper sofa and love seat. Adjacent to the den is the master bedroom with its own TV and a king-size Dreamcloud luxury hybrid mattress. The master bathroom is conveniently located near the pool and hot tub. Upstairs, there is an open-plan living and dining area with a TV and well-equipped kitchen. There is also a full bath and two more bedrooms—one with a king-size bed with a memory foam cool-gel mattress topper and TV and another with two memory foam twins. All the beds come with fleece blankets and pillows.
The pool can be heated for an additional fee.
This is a nonsmoking home. Smoking is NOT allowed inside.
Our home is only available as a weekly rental from 5 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Saturday. The City of Marathon Vacation Rental code ordinance prohibits us from renting for less than 7 days.
We adhere to the strict COVID-19 cleaning and disinfectant guidelines recommended by the CDC, Vacation Rental Management Association, and American Hotel and Lodging Association. We also offer remote check-in.
The person booking this home must be at least 25 years of age and be the responsible party for this reservation.
This home is not recommended for children under 5 years old.
Final confirmation of your reservation and access to the property is contingent upon the owner receiving the signed and completed rental agreement.
Any violation of the House Rules could lead to the forfeiture of all or part of your security deposit.

A signed rental agreement with a list of all guests is required. This is a City of Marathon Vacation Rental code ordinance. Final confirmation of your reservation and access to the property is contingent upon the owner receiving the signed and completed rental agreement.
A $500 deposit is required to secure your booking.
Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
Hurricane Cancellation Policy: Effective June 1 to Nov. 30, everyone must vacate the premises when a mandatory evacuation order has been issued due to a pending hurricane. We strongly encourage the purchase of Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment! In the unlikely event that a hurricane evacuation is ordered while you are a guest, and you have not purchased travel insurance, you will be issued a credit refund for any unused portion of your stay.
Guests holding a confirmed reservation who are unable to travel because of the closing of the local airports or connecting roadways due to a mandatory evacuation and have not purchased travel insurance, will receive a refund.
No refunds will be issued if you are unable to travel because of canceled flights or adverse travel conditions outside of the Keys. We strongly encourage the purchase of Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Catch of the day. This house is located in a great location, quick and easy access to the Gulf or Atlantic if your bringing your boat. The owners, Greg and Melinda were great and were very concerned that we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning next summer.

Is your home available for less than 7 days?
No. Per the City of Marathon Vacation Rental Code Ordinance, we are prohibited from renting our home for less than 7 days.
Can I hold an event, such as a wedding reception or barbeque pool party, at your home?
No. Per the Marathon Vacation Rental Code Ordinance our home and its amenities is limited to the 8 people who are listed on the rental agreement. No additional guests are allowed.
Can I pick any day of the week to check in or check out?
No. Our changeover day is Saturday. You can check in anytime after 5 p.m. Saturday and check out anytime on or before 9 a.m. on the following Saturday.
Our visit was a two week stay in a really great location. Now first the bad, ok now that that's out of the way let's get on to the great! First off the location to the open water and dock are perfect, just two houses in from open water. The pool is the perfect size and gives you sun and shade options all day long. The outside area is clean and well kept, a wonderful paradise. The upper decks large with views and protected even in a rainstorm, awesome. Moving inside the home is amazing, clean and I mean clean! Awesome kitchen, living room, tile floors with some nice area rugs, TV's everywhere upstairs and down. The grill outside was great we used it often. The woodwork inside this home is pristine and new. Plenty of chairs and seating inside and out it's just a comfy vibe all around. The owners are awesome people and it rubs off on their home. Eating out is convenient, Birdines on the water, Porky's, Sunset grill is open again, and for the best of the best key lime pie hands down winner for the entire keys top to bottom is, Island fish Company! Now it's your turn to taste. Finally just stay at this home its awesome
