Excursion Krew Christmas Vacation

Marathon, Fl was the perfect place to spend the holidays.The YellowTail was a lovely home for us to stay for the week with each of us having our own rooms and comfortable beds, too.There was plenty of space just to relax, read or just visit with one another as each of us works full time and our time together is well spent. The first night we all got into town we visited Driftwood Pizza where we dined on the most delicious wings and pizza! We ordered pizza and wings one more time before we left bc they were so good! We also bought groceries at Winn Dixie and Publix to prepare most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. We ordered the snow crab, we dined on fresh caught fish that were and we had the option of dining at the kitchen table or sitting outside in the spacious entertainment area. The weather was rainy and chilly a few days we were there so we stayed inside to watch movies, play a few games and just relax, which we rarely do at home due to our busy work schedules. The Yellowtail was just what we needed! It was close enough to Key West that we could drive there to take in the sites, we rented a boat which we kept at the YellowTail's dock, we fished from the same dock where we caught a "mess" of fish, fed the Pelicans the castaways, and had a good time spending the time with one another. The stackable washer/dryer came in very handy the day before we left as each of us did our laundry and we were ready to pack to go home. There is a saying that there is one thing that all SUCCESSFUL people do, that we all have in common...we make our beds each day...and the day we left the YellowTail was no different even though we knew housekeeping would be arriving soon as we left.~The Excursion Krew from Panama City Beach, Fl.

Great vacation

We stayed at yellowtail for seven nights and really enjoyed our stay with my family. I normally stay at some higher end resorts around marathon and figured I would try a house rental for the very first time. I can say I was very satisfied with our rental. From the moment I contacted Matt he would respond within minutes to any question I had. The house is well prepared with any amenities you may need and you can't beat the location in the middle of town. You have everything there like a hot tub, bar,rooftop, dock,trailer parking and fishing. I would definitely rent this house again in the future.

Fantastic Family Trip

Fantastic stay at the YellowTail Villa. Matt’s place had everything we needed, including a well stocked kitchen. Easy access to restaurants, grocery store, and bait shops. The house fit our family of 7 well. The views from the rooftop are breathtaking. The kids and adults had a great time fishing from the dock. The designated dock for the villa was perfect for the boat we rented. Matt is easy to work with and very responsive. Great host!

Great Condo; Great Location!!!

Stayed at this condo recently & had a fabulous time while visiting the Keys. The Condo is great, so comfortable & well equipped with all of the amenties you might need. Plenty of room for 3 couples to enjoy together. The rooftop views are magnificent for catching the sunrise or sunset or just laying back & relaxing. Plus having an elevator was a real plus. The owner, Matt, is very responsive & easy to deal with. He made some great recommendations for places to visit, things to do & great restaurants. So glad we chose Matt's condo & Marathon as our vacation spot for visitng the Keys. Truly a relaxing & fun place to stay.

Great condo with unique features

We had a great three week stay at the Yellowtail Villa. The condo matched the description in the listing. We loved all of the outdoor areas and spent almost every evening on the rooftop or at the lower level tiki bar. We were a group of three couples and the layout with the bedrooms and baths worked out great for each having our own space. I have stayed at quite a few rental properties over the years, but Matt goes above and beyond as an owner to make sure you have a great stay. He responds immediately to any questions you have about the home and is a great resource for any activities or questions you have about Marathon. We have already rebooked for next year.

Great vacation @

I stayed at Yellowtail for a month ....the first 3 weeks with 2 other couples and the last week with my daughter and 2 grandkids. The condo was perfect in every way....from the fun decorated Tikki bar and hot tub on the ground floor to the rooftop patio with the gas fire pit and views of the gulf and the ocean All the amenities and appliances were great and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location in Marathon is ideal and the condo's proximity to the pool and the dock on the gulf were primo. The owner (Matt) was very accessible when we had questions and his recommendations for snorkeling and a local contact for fresh Stone Crab claws was excellent and appreciated. My grandson really appreciated the use of the fishing gear that was available in the "Fisherman's Closet" and the complimentary "Smorers" kit the owners provided. I have a slight disability so the elevator was a real plus .....All in all terrific facility with a great location. That's why we booked it again for 2024.

A little slice of paradise

Yellow Tail Villa on Marathon is a hidden gem. Located about 1/2 way between Key Lagro & Key West, just off the overseas highway, Yellow tail is a great home base for visiting the entire chain of islands or enjoying all that the house and Marathon have to offer.The house is family-friendly with lots of space for adults and tweens/teens alike. We were there during an unseasonably cold snap, but the kids were delighted to sit comfortably in the hot tub while the cold air swirled around them. The balconies and rooftop deck are great places to read a book in the ocean breeze or for an afternoon cocktail. On New Year's eve, we watched the neighbors launch fireworks across the island.The kitchen is a bit cramped, but that was easily managed with the large grill and bar area on the ground floor. The beds were comfortable and the curtains did a great job of blocking the early morning sunshine so the kids and adults could sleep in.The neighbors were genuinely kind and helpful. They offered up great suggestions on things to do and see, and places to eat. The turtle hospital was a hit with our kids as was sombrero beach. Our favorite place to eat was Burdines at the marina.Book your getaway now! You won't be disappointed!

Perfect Family Vacation

What can we say except Matt has thought of everything! The perfect location in the Middle Keys to explore from. The Yellowtail has everything you need or want in a vacation rental. Best condo in Marathon!

This condo was super clean with a very well stocked kitchen. The location and views are outstanding especially from the rooftop. The gas campfire created a perfect ambience and the high powered binoculars made viewing the moon’s craters a real treat. The hot tub was so relaxing and fishing from the dock was a great treat. Matt did a fantastic job communicating with us and you will not be disappointed staying at the YellowTail Villa. We can hardly wait to get back here!

You’ve got to stay here!

Our stay was more than we ever thought! The one thing was that it has an elevator which is a life saver. Our 85 year old aunt was able to go with us too Marathon and see her great niece get married.The view from the rooftop is amazing. Especially with the telescope.The condo has everything you will ever need. It has 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. Great if you have a large family staying there. The decor is beautiful. And the boat dock was great for my niece and her husband to come and take us out to the reef and sandbar.It is close to restaurants, grocery stores and beaches.Thank you Matt for allowing us to stay . Home away from home

We have stayed at several rentals and this surpasses all of them combined. The place is immaculate with every possible amenity you could think of….even the beach towels !!! Stay here and you need to do nothing but enjoy yourself. Yellowtail has done it all for you . Don’t hesitate, best place in the keys!! Definitely going back. Thanks again for a great stay !!

Location and amenities!!!

Don’t know where to start. We rented a boat and docked it at the private slip about 60 yards from the villa. It was so nice to pull up by boat and leave by boat to go fishing or the sandbar or sombrero reef. The Vaca cut made it possible to get to the Atlantic side in a few minutes. The boat was always safe due to the whips and bumpers. The location was convenient by car also. Publix was close and the bait shop was walking distance. As far as the villa goes; the elevator made checking on and out so simple. The roof top was a nice quiet place to get away, the swings on the master suite balcony was another nice place to relax and have conversations. The tiki bar was is another place to hang out, grill, eat, and unwind since you’re vacation. The hot tub is next to the bar so if you want to cut loose and get things cranking it’s good for that too since you’re still on vacation. There is a small deep freezer outside for ice, bait or fish that you caught. There also a closet outside with some fishing stuff just in case you want to fish off the dock where there is a cleaning station. We were so busy that we never had time to enjoy the heated pool but it looked nice. The villa is in a community of 14 private villas on a private road and gated so there wasn’t a need to worry about safety or things going missing. We had a great time and would do it again!!!

This is the place to stay in Marathon

This villa was amazing. Gorgeous view of the beautiful water from all balconies, especially the rooftop deck. Located close to some amazing restaurants, quaint tiki bars and if you are Diner, Drive in & Dives fan, there are a few nearby. Stores for anything you need are close by and yet you never feel like you are in a commercial area. The house itself is fully equipped with everything you need if you wish to cook a meal. The hot tub is right on the ground floor and the pool is literally steps away, as is the boat dock. Nothing has been forgotten. It is everything that was advertised and more. The host, Matt was easily available to answer any questions. We had the best vacation of our lives. It was so great, we already booked for next year!

Yellow tale villa

Yellow tale villa is an absolute gem in Marathon. From the hot tub with its tiki bar to the roof top with the fire pit. This place had it all. It exceeded our expectations. Matt is very attentive to his guests, even hooking us up with stone claw crabs. The villa was clean, roomy and very comfortable. If we ever get back to the Keys, we will definitely stay here again.

A 5 Star Vacation Home!

There are so many things to love about this home. It was meticulously clean, well appointed, with every amenity you could imagine. I came with friends and the bedrooms are all located in different quadrants of the home giving everyone space, privacy and quiet room accomodations. We were thrilled that the beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept very well. We thoroughly enjoyed the roof top deck and spent almost every night there for happy hour enjoying the breathtaking views of the Gulf. The kitchen had every tool and appliance you could possibly need. The owner was extremely responsive, checked on us several times,and gave us lots of tips and advice on restaurants and other info in Marathon. We loved this home and plan to stay again next year. This is a gem on every level.

Great place!!

Went here January 2022. Brought daughter and her family with. Was a great Christmas and celebration of our 25th anniversary. We had 4adults and 3 kids there was plenty of room for all. Enough space to be together or separation if needed. Everything we needed was there. Matt was great at answering any questions or concerns immediately. We all really enjoyed it check in and out was easy. We will definitely be back here if we come to Florida again. Now we have a reason to.

What a wonderful place to bring in a New Year!

Our family had the best week at YellowTail Villa over New Years 2022! Matt was so easy to work with and even helped us with a referral for a boat rental. This beach house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We all loved spending time on the rooftop deck sunning on the loungers and in the evenings roasting s’mores over the fire pit. The elevator made everything easy from suitcases to groceries. The hot tub and the tiki bar area were a fun place to hang out, grill some burgers, and watch tv. The boat dock and heated pool were enjoyed by all. The dock even had a manatee and her baby that visited several times. If you’re thinking about renting YellowTail Villa, go for it! You won’t regret it!

Perfect spot for a Florida Keys vacation

Beautiful home with fantastic views of the Gulf from roof top deck. The deck includes comfortable seating and a brand new fire pit. Pool for the community also has awesome close up views of the Gulf. There's a ground floor level Tiki bar, hot tub and elevator to 3rd floor which makes hauling luggage, groceries and beverages a breeze. There's a boat slip and access to a dock. All rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable. Location is great - right on the Gulf and Sombrero Beach is a short drive away. The owner clearly cares about providing a great experience. Will visit again!

This was our second time at this amazing home and we already can't wait to go back. As a senior manager in hospitality , I like to think that I tend to look at things through a more critical lens then most and in doing so, I continue to find this particular unit, impeccably clean and well thought out with every amenity imaginable.When you couple this amazing house, with breathtaking rooftop views, a pool over looking the gulf just steps away it is a can't miss.In the center of Marathon, this great house is within minutes of anything you would ever desire including great restaurants and a scenic easy one hour drive to Key West.I can't recommend it enough !!!

Excellent vacation destination! No detail forgotten!

As soon as we pulled up to The Yelliwtail Villa we knew we were in for an amazing vacation! Every detail of making our stay comfortable and relaxing was very well thought out. We had plenty of bath towels, as well as beach towels, linens, completely stocked kitchen including many additional small appliances for making quick meals and delicious drinks! There were even a few groceries, sunscreen and plenty of cleaning supplies and additional paper goods for our entire stay. This hasn’t always been the case in other vacation spots we’ve visited. The s’mores kit was an added bonus for the kids and the swings off the master balcony were great for the adults! We had rented a boat and it did not come with large enough buoys to protect the boat when docked. But guess what! There were extra ones in the fisherman’s closet that saved us! Oh, and the Elevator! Life. Saver!!! Matt has thought of absolutely everything and his communication from booking the Villa through our entire stay and departure has been superb! Felt Like Being "Home"

This villa is amazing! There is every comfort of being in your own home, but with beautiful views of the water. The owner's hospitality is wonderful, as he is available with any questions you may have. The hot tub and tiki bar were a family favorite, as well as the s'mores on the rooftop. The location of this villa is perfect as it is close to shopping, restaurants, beaches, parks and attractions. We made a lot of amazing family memories during our stay at The Yellowtail Villa. Visit To Yellow Tail Villa

It was our pleasure to rent and stay at The Yellow Tail Villa. The overall highlight from our family, according to our 9-year-old granddaughter, was s’mores at sunset on the roof top. We experienced daily visits to several keys including Key West. We found the Marathon Key location central to all other keys. We finished each afternoon in the private pool.We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the Villa and the fact that it was very well stocked with kitchen utensils. The washer and dryer were wonderful amenities as well. We look forward to our 2022 visit at Yellow Tail Villa.

A month in paradise

My husband and I had never been to Marathon or been away for an entire month so we had no idea what to expect. We’ve rented condos, homes and such for a week throughout our lives vacationing. Most places are missing things that u have to run to the store for or just do without. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE AT THE YELLOWTAIL!First thing when we get there the elevator. We unloaded all our luggage, groceries and stuff into the elevator and sent them to the desired floor to be distributed in there living spots for the month. So easy! No carrying luggage multiple trips, bumping walls and frustration. Had everything up and unpacked within a 1/2 hour! Amazing! We were having cocktails and putting our suits on to get into the hot tub right after!My husband LOVED the fisherman’s cabinet! He had plenty of poles and could by bait right next door. He was out fishing most nights after dinner on the dock. It was so close! The closet also offered plenty of room to store his and some family members golf clubs that we drove down with! Plenty of beach accessories, beach towels, etc.When any minor issues came up, Matt took care of it same day! He was great to work with and he felt like we were renting from a friend...Another GREAT thing is the location of the Yellowtail! We walked to Frank’s grill (wonderful home cooked Italian), Island Fish company (if you like linguine with clam sauce try it! It’s the best we’ve ever had. Both white and red sauce), Sparkys for happy hour and Tritons! Key Colony has a great farmers market on tuesdays 9-2 (French bread guy is expensive, so ask prices before you buy if that’s an issue.All we can say is if you want a comfortable, well appointed house in a great location, Yellowtail is the place for you and your family/friends to make incredible memories!Thanks Matt!Truly, Pam and Chris Marx Brookville, Ohio

Whimsical, Relaxing, and Great Amenities

We had such an amazing time at the Yellow Tail Villa! We can't decide if our favorite part of staying here were the nights in the hot tub, making s'mores in the fire pit on the roof, grilling at our private tiki bar, having coffee on our balcony, watching the sunset from the roof, lounging amongst tropical decor... what a great trip and amazing location! Easy access to so many wonderful activities and places in The Keys. Matt was so communicative and helpful, very responsive to all of our questions before and during our stay. Our family couldn't have asked for a better stay. Multiple levels made our family feel like we all had plenty of our own space between all of our together time. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful Boat-friendly Villa Steps Away from the Water

I stayed at the Yellowtail Villa in Marathon with 5 other adults during the week of Thanksgiving. The villa was the perfect size for our group-- 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms (this is key!). We were able to cook a great Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen and ate around the kitchen table. We brought our 23' boat and kept it in the designated slip, which made for convenient fishing in the morning. We spent our days on the water and spent evenings in the amazing carport tiki bar, where we enjoyed the hot tub, watching football, and playing games. Island Fish Co. is only about a 10min walk from the villa and there are many other restaurants and grocery stores just a short drive away. We loved our stay at Yellowtail and will definitely be back!

This is the "One"- They YellowTail Villa has it All!

After looking at many options of places to stay in Marathon and Islamorada, we booked the Yellow Tail Villa for our family of 4 in November 2020. From the moment you park underneath the villa, you feel like you are completely welcomed and on vacation. The ground level has the hot tub, the tiki bar, the Anglers closet with fishing gear, chairs, and so much more to make your stay comfortable. There's access to the elevator too, which will take you and your bags up to the next two floors. The unique and tasteful decor exudes fun and reminds you at every turn you are on vacation. The house is clean, so clean in fact that I felt like we were the first people to stay there. Every little detail has been thought of, from the well- appointed kitchen to the s'mores supplies for the roof top fire pit. At night we relaxed on the roof top and lounged on the chairs to view the stars. While there, we even had the opportunity to see the flames from the space launch at Cape Canaveral. We rented a boat for a few days while and docked it at the included dock. There is a strong current, so you need to account for that when docking the boat, The whips and extra bumpers in the Angler’s Closet though kept our rental boat safe and secure. Great sunsets, warm ocean breezes were the perfect way to end the day on the comfortably furnished roof top deck. Matt, the owner, is very responsive and a great communicator. He was very accommodating with a change for our check in day, ensuring everything was ready for our arrival. This three bedroom/3 bath house has it all. Next time we head to the Keys, this will be our “go to” place to stay. Great location with lots for a family to do in the middle of the Keys.

The Perfect Vacation

This was our Perfect Vacation. We could not have been happier with the Location and the House. The views are amazing and the house has everything you need. Hot tub with tv and your own Tikibar only to mention a few. It even has an Elevator. Beach only a few minutes away from the house and a short easy drive. The owner is very nice and made it possible to have our small dog with us as well. Restaurants near by and great Places to buy fresh fish. Thank you Matt we will come and visit again.

Perfect for fishing, boating, family, and good vibes

To start you pull up to the gated community behind an unassuming gift shop, punch the code, then drive down the lovely paver driveway to the Yellowfin. When there you pull under the covered parking to discover your private tiki bar decorated to let you know you're home in the tropics. Don't fret that it's 3 stories (4 if you count the roof) there is an elevator to make sure getting your belongings inside is a breeze. Inside the theme is very much keys appropriate and well appointed with all the features and comforts you'd want. In walking distance there are great places to imbibe or grab a bite. I brought my family but would be perfectly suited to couples or friends looking for a get away. We also took advantage of the boat dock for nightly cruises, offshore fishing, and fishing the channel for a fresh catch of mangrove snapper, mackerel, or whatever other tasty morsels happen to be riding the tidal current. The hot tub and outdoor entertanment space at the tiki bar were well utilized as was the pool. I even managed to catch and cook an octopus from right on the boat dock. This rental was great and I'd absolutely stay here again.

Great location on gulf side with very quick access to the Atlantic. House was perfectly clean, comfortable, great location right by the water. Rented a boat for the week and the dock access was very convenient. Private gated access made leaving the doors unlocked like you were at home. Would recommend staying there!!

Trip to remember

This trip the Florida Keys was a long time coming. I’ve traveled and lived around the world.... this was one of my favorite vacation spots. The price was more than reasonable and convenient to all that I need and want. Catching large fish, sharks and diving for lobster right off the dock was incredible not to mention delicious! Affordable Jet Ski rentals (owned by Tiger Kings, James Garretson) was close by. It was great to meet James as he rode with us in the clear blue waters of the Gulf. Matt, the owner of the property, was easy to contact and helpful to direct us to all of the “ happening places” .The Yellow Tail Villa was conveniently located as Key Largo and Key West were beautiful to visit as well. A return is in order in about three months!!

Great Place on the water!

We love staying in Marathon and found Yellow Tail Villa on our previous trip. Matt was super easy to work with and was extremely receptive and responsive to any concerns we had, not that we had many. The 3 bdrm 3 bath combo makes this perfect for families or a few couples. Oh the elevator makes it great for loading/unloading and if anyone has trouble with stairs. The boat dock was great to have and we even snorkeled right off the dock and saw all sorts of fish, even a barracuda. The pool is well maintained and must be cooled, because even on the super hot days it felt amazing to get in and cool off. We used pretty much all the amenities, the grill, hot tub, upstairs lounge area, hammock swings and loved it all! We are definitely planning a return trip and would suggest it to anyone!

Fantastic view of the beautiful water!

We all had a fantastic time at the Yellow Tail Villa. The layout was great even with 8 adults it felt plenty big. The wildlife at the dock was so beautiful. The guys saw eel, parrot fish, nurse sharks and manatee. Fishing right of the dock at Matt's villa never disappointed us. The location was great too! There is a coffee shop and marina with bait and ice within walking distance. Did I mention the view!! The pool overlooks the Gulf, IT IS RIGHT THERE. Amazing villa!

We had a fabulous week at the villa! The villa was perfect for our family. We took our boat and the boat slip was very convenient to the home! Everything we needed to clean our catch was readily available at the dock! Our favorite thing to do was to sit in the hanging chairs on the deck of the 2nd floor. These chairs are amazing! The rooftop offers amazing views! We loved to sit up here day and night! Also, loved the fire pit and making s’mores each night! Definitely recommend this fabulous villa for anyone’s stay in Marathon! Perfect location!

We loved the Yellowtail Villa!

We spent 2 fun weeks at the Yellowtail Villa with another family, had an amazing time! So nice to escape the stress of the pandemic in such a clean, well taken care of villa. We were able to enjoy a neighbor’s fabulous 4th of July fireworks from the rooftop, which was also the perfect place to watch the sunsets. The pool being so close and the boat slip were both great benefits, in addition to the hot tub and bar. Matt was beyond attentive and always quick to respond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will definitely be back again!

Great Tropical Place To Stay!

Don’t hesitate to book this unit… It is ideal for your stay in Marathon! Tropical decor everywhere from downstairs with the bar and hot tub, through the main floors and up to the fabulous rooftop make you know you are on a vacation! We loved having our coffee on the rooftop watching the sunrise, and then a drink or dessert on the rooftop watching the sunset! We rented a boat which was docked right out front making it very easy access to both the Atlantic and the Gulf. The owners have thought of everything to make your vacation wonderful,

Awesome Vacation at Yellowtail

We had a great time on vacation in Marathon last week. The property was in a great location and the house was impeccable. We were fishing in a 27' Sea Hunt which fit at the dock perfectly. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. Also, the owner Matt was great to work with!

Perfect location

We had the most amazing time staying at this beautiful location. Not only was the location beautiful but super convenient. We were so close to everything! Absolutely amazing!

The yellow tail was a great house with amazing views very close to the open ocean. The house is fully stocked with everything you need from the kitchen to the linens. The upscale Hammock chairs outside the master bedroom were a great escape after a long day out on the boat.A few comments from the family:Great location, clean, well laid out and furnished. - It was nice & we had a good view - Each floor was an adventure for the kids, from the elevator to the rooftop deck. - We were out to marathon reef fishing within minutes every day. More importantly, we were catching fish every day! - Snorkeling the lighthouse was amazing. My two-year-old grandson looked underneath the water for the first time and said “wow there’s a lot of fishies down there!”

Awesome!

We loved our stay at the "Yellowtail Villa". We spent a lot of our time on the upper deck. The views are breathtaking. There were (3) couples and we all had plenty of space.Matt was so helpful and efficient in anything we asked of him. We would stay here again in a heart beat. Awesome beach condo

We recently stayed at he The Yellowtail Villa Condo, which is amazingly decorated, stunningly clean and very relaxing. Location so close to the ocean and pool with exceptional views from the roof top and then down to the fun tiki bar and hot tub on the lower level for evening fun and relaxing during the day. Location to restaurants, shops and other attractions is great. Wonderful place to gather with friends and family. Matt (owner) has been great to work and provided great options to experience while in Marathon as well our drive from Miami. This is must see condo. We will visit again.

Marathon

Our family enjoyed our stay. The rental has a beach vibe with many decorations. Property has easy access to attractions and restaurants in the area. Property owner was extremely accessible and helpful with suggestions. Great sunrise and sunset views from the rooftop!

Yellow Fin Villa is the place to stay

Yellow Fin in Marathon Key is the place . Very clean and well maintained. Decor is awsome and island friendly. Centrally located in the Keys makes day trips a short drive away. Relax at the pool, hot tub, dock or the roof top deck. Enjoy the sunset. The view is fantastic. Plenty of good places to eat close by: Florida Keys Steak and Lobster, Savanahs Ice Cream Parlor, Stuffed Pig. Communications with management is easy and responsive. They care about your comfort and happiness. The elevator was very much appreciated, being a DV. Definitely going back.

Great House Perfect Location

This house has it all. Waterfront, boat dock, amazing ground floor bar with a hot tub, roof patio with wonderful views of the Gulf. Swimming pool practically outside of the front door and the elevator was a life saver to get to all the floors. It was decorated to the hilt, all the beds were super comfy. Each floor has it's own water heater and furnace so adjusting temps to fit your own needs wasn't an issue. Plenty of room in the kitchen and had everything we needed including a stocked pantry with basics and plenty of spices. Travel mugs for coffee or cocktails available for use plus a full size washer and dryer with laundry soap, bleach and dryer sheets. Other than food and drinks there wasn't anything we needed to buy. All this inside of a gated community. Matt was great to work with and gave us plenty of contacts for people to see for different excursions as well as points of interest not to miss. We never wanted to leave. We will be back and are already planning for our next trip.

Comfortable home in a prime location

We spent a gorgeous week at Yellowtail in January. The house is lovely and in a great location. You can walk to several restaurants and it’s close to groceries and supplies. We went to Key West twice which is an easy drive for a fun day away. We also rented a boat for a few days. The wind kept us from exploring the seas but it was still nice for catching fish in the cut. Matt was flexible and great to rent from.

Relaxing start to a new year!

Our stay at the yellowtail villa was nothing short of perfect! Cute home, love the views from the rooftop, especially the sunset!! Views on everything level are so relaxing and calming! Spent a lot of time outside on one of the levels while there. The swings outside the master bedroom are my favorite! We actually ordered some for ourselves for our beach home! Close to beach and grocery stores and only an hour from key west. Will definitely be back to stay again!

Memorable Family Christmas vacation

What can I say... our stay was great! We have been vacationing in the keys for over 15 years and this was the first place we agreed we would book again. From the welcoming lower level to the refreshing roof top deck, we couldn’t have ask for more. Even though the weather did not cooperate during our stay, we were able to enjoy the villas covered lower level tiki hut, fishing off the dock and a quick swim in the pool in between the rain. Our family Christmas vacation will be one we will talk about for some time to come. Thanks Matt for being so accommodating and letting us enjoy your villa.

Awesome Keys Retreat

My family had never been to the Florida keys and this home in Marathon was the perfect place to experience them. Literally steps from the golf of Mexico the yellowtail villa was much more than expected. Clean, plenty of room for a family of 6, ample amenities and most importantly a place to relax and feel the golf breeze. The roof top terrace is a definite bonus for a cup of coffee early in the morning or a cocktail watching the sun set. Highly recommended. Thanks Matt !

Wonderful Marathon Vacation

First, I would like to say that there is no deception in the photos that are showing this property. If anything, the home and amenities are much nicer. The lower level that has the hot tub just screams fun and time for relaxing. But this is only the beginning. The 2nd and 3rd levels are designer living spaces. Every room designed perfectly for your keys experience. You arrive at the living areas in your own private elevator. From the upper living area you can make your way to the outdoor deck and up to the rooftop where there is a firepit to roast the provided s'mores. Also, you have several separate seating areas. You can also use the mounted telescope to view the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Also, within 50 feet of the home is a great pool overlooking the Gulf. This may have been my first vacation at the Yellow Tail Villa, but it won't be my last. If you are considering a vacation to Marathon and are doing a home search, just stop searching and save your time when you get to this one. You will not be disappointed.

Perfection

I can’t imagine a better place to spend a week in the Keys than Yellowtail. The villa looked amazing online, and was even better in person. With all of the fun things to do in the Keys, we found the most enjoyable days were the ones that we stayed “home”. The rooftop was perfect for watching both sunrise, and sunset. The pier offered great fishing, and the fisherman’s closet had all that was needed. Everything about the place was perfect. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else while in the Keys.

Amazing vacation in Marathon

What can I say...this property was terrific. We have rented before in the keys but this had it all. Great location, a great pool, and the ocean right off the back. We could snorkel and fish. We had a manatee sighting. The sunsets were amazing and the view from the top deck or the fun sitting in the jacuzzi enjoying the tv and tiki bar. Matt is a terrific host. He can offer up great recommendations for food and fun. He greeted us at the property and was there to make sure we had a fabulous time. It was amazing. We will be back and will definitely be staying at The Yellowtail!!!

We stayed at the yellowtail oct. 11-27 2019 the villa was clean and the owner Matt was available to text at anytime. The elevator sure was great saved us a lot of up and down stairs. The fishing was great my wife caught a 6 ft nurse off the dock and a bunch of snappers too. Chartered the Snapshot Charter with captain Andrew Hall out of Duck Key Resort 4 days and killed it.Caught a ton of fish. Call Matt Lee at Yellowtail Villa he will fix you up with a great vacation.

Perfect Vacation at YellowTail Villa

Our family of 5 had an awesome time at the YellowTail Villa this past week. The villa had all the amenities we could want and more. It was decorated very nicely, the furnishings were modern, and the home was well-equipped with lots of nice extra touches (Keurig coffee maker, large flat screen TVs, beach towels, beach chairs, corn hole boards, fishing equipment, everything we needed in the kitchen, and the elevator - game changer for a home with 3 levels!). We had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and not feel overcrowded. We rented kayaks from Keys Kayaks, and they were delivered to the villa within 10 minutes of our phone call to them. They also picked them up at the end of the week, which was so convenient. Each day we went kayaking, the teenagers swam and snorkeled in the water and along the reef, and we fished right off the dock just steps away from the villa. We were a little concerned when we made our reservation at YellowTail that the shared pool might be overcrowded, but we found it to be the complete opposite. We made fast friends with the neighbors in the villas around us and by the end of the week, YellowTail felt like our home away from home. It was surprising how quiet the community was to have 14 units in it. We enjoyed cocktails at the tiki bar and sitting in the hot tub while we grilled freshly-caught fish and other foods on the large gas grill. In the evenings, we would make our way to the rooftop deck to watch the sunset, sit by the fire pit, listen to music and roast s'mores. It was an incredibly relaxing week and we didn't have to worry about a thing while we were there. Matt answered our questions and resolved the one issue we had with the hot tub quickly and courteously. As Matt put it best, we feel like "we will always have a friend in the Keys."

Amazing Week! Beautiful home

Stayed Jul 2019 Kristen S. From beginning to end, definitely the easiest process in which to rent a vacation home. The communication was great and many helpful tidbits of information was given. The home was very welcoming from the surprise of all the makings for s’mores to be used on the rooftop deck fire pit to the fancy designs made of the bath linens left to welcome us. We fished from the dock and the kids caught snapper, lobster were seen swimming amongst the rocks, eels gave them a challenge by snapping their hooks, and the neighbors caught a small bonnet head shark from the dock. Definitely an amazing adventure for all this week. The location of the villa is perfect to restaurants, the marina, and grocery store. You may even get a surprise from the iguana that came to visit us each morning in the palm tree from the second balcony. He will eat potatoes and eggs if you toss them within each on a limb. I definitely recommend the Yellowtail Villa 10/10!!
