Your family will have a great beach vacation in Destin, Florida, when staying at COCONUT COVE. This completely remodeled, Beach-themed, two-story vacation home is located approximately 900 ft. from the beach (4-5 minute walk) and only four houses away from the main neighborhood pool within the EMERALD SHORES subdivision, a gated beach ownership community. EMERALD SHORES is the only residential community in Destin that has a private beach pavilion with restrooms, outdoor showers, beach service and it's very own Cabana Cafe' & Bar! This eliminates having to go back to the home for potty breaks, or to rinse off the kids or to just get a bite to eat with a cold beverage. It's all available at the Emerald Shores beach pavilion!
This stately home has a spacious 1900 square feet of living area, a gourmet kitchen which includes granite counters, stone back splashes and stainless appliances. Home is fully equipped with all kitchen wares and utensils for casual or gourmet dining. You will appreciate COCONUT COVE'S large porches, balconies, patios, decks, barbecue grill and outdoor shower. Balconies and porches are located off all bedrooms and living areas.
The home boasts a luxurious Master Bedroom on the main floor (no steps) and is complemented by an over-sized master bath with a large custom travertine walk-in shower, double vanity granite counter sink, garden tub and walk-in closet. There are many custom finishing touches in COCONUT COVE. The open and integrated kitchen/living room/dining room floor plan makes COCONUT COVE a perfect set-up for two families or for three couples. Audio/video includes 5 LCD flat screens (LCD in every space) including a 46' LCD/dvd flat screen wall mount in the Living Room plus HD DVD players and iPod docks. The king bedrooms have 51' and 40' wall mounted LCD's.

About the owner: Our very first road trip to Destin was in 1987. We immediately fell in love with the sugar white beaches and pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It was our little secret love nest that consisted mostly of walking on the beach and regular trips to the fish market. Well, Destin is no longer our little secret and we are very passionate about sharing all that it has to offer.
We have traveled extensively and "rented" property for our own family vacations. So we fully understand and appreciate the importance of finding a great location, having easy access to amenities, and a quality home that is clean and well maintained. In 2001 we took the plunge and purchased our first property in Destin and started living "The Dream". Eventually we moved to Destin full-time and started GULF911, a vacation rental management and real estate company.
When we are asked why we manage the homes ourselves, it's a pretty easy answer; Who cares more about a property than the actual owners? Our properties are not "out of sight, out of mind" investments with an out of state owner that is managed by some large cookie cutter property management company. That is far from our approach. We live close to the rental properties and provide a hands-on approach with our guests and the properties. We even conduct our own weekly inspections! We also differ from the "herd" by regularly updating and upgrading our properties to keep the homes up-to-date and current. Since Betty has her Florida Real Estate license, it keeps us abreast of the most current trends in the housing and vacation rental markets.

Why this property? This home has some of the best outdoor lounging space in the Emerald Shores community. It has a large deck and also covered porches. The home has been completely renovated and the open floor plan lends itself to relaxation at the beach. With it only being 4 houses away from the main pool and centrally located in the community, it always gets high marks from the guests with children. Four car parking is a bonus too.

We couldn’t find a better home. From the initial request to check out, the owners were amazing. The owners called us when the house was ready early. How many owners do that? The house is beautiful. Everything was immaculate. It is a short walk to the beach but comes with wagons that make lugging beach gear easy. The private access to the beach and bathrooms were awesome with three kids. The house is close to the pool but far away enough to not hear anything from it. The main pool was heated. I read some reviews where people mentioned being out early and having to do laundry. They have a huge washer. It wasn’t a big deal and these owners want to make sure this house is perfect when you arrive.
Excellent rental. Great location. In proximity of the beach, pools and several restaurants. Shopping and grocery stores nearby as well. The home provided everything needed for a fantastic vacation. Great communication with the owners. This beautiful home was ideal for my family and I. Spacious inside and out. Comfortable bedding and patio lounging chairs. We will definitely be renting from the Coppics for our annual trip to Destin. Can’t wait!!!
This is the 3rd house we have rented from Jay & Betty. We loved this house. It was perfect for us & we had a great vacation. Jay & Betty are great to rent from. Their houses are fully equipped to just show up & begin your vacation. We look forward to next year.
Nestled in the cul-de-sac of Pearl Cove our family enjoyed the coziness of Coconut Cove. This lovely, up to date, relaxing home was just perfect for our family of 7. There was plenty of room to accommodate more guests but it suited our family well. Some of the highlights for us is that this home and community is so welcoming to families. We didn't have to pack things such as a stroller or pack n play. The house provides them. It also provides wagons for all the things that easily can take over your travel vehicle. Inside the home is spacious and relaxing. It has all the appliances you need to live your normal life at home, away from home. The community is safe, clean and friendly. We enjoyed access to both pools as well as the tram that helped us journey closer to the beach with all our belongings. If you are looking for something safe, family friendly, cozy, clean and accommodating for your family I would recommend this place for you.
Our family, consisting of six adults and four children (ages 3-14) enjoyed a two-week vacation at Coconut Cove. The walk to the beach wasn't at all bad and we should know since we had all but two days of perfect beach weather. The pools were closeby and most enjoyable. Restroom facilities at both locations were most helpful since we had children. The neighborhood is nice, quiet, child and pet friendly and everyone looks out for each other! A bonus is the frequent stops of the ice cream truck. This is most definitely a property we would consider again in the future. We especially liked the relaxed and livable surroundings. The location is excellent and the owner communicates clearly and promptly. Some great restaurants were within walking distance.
