Top activities and attractions in Navarre Beach

The main attraction on Navarre Beach, besides the sun and sand, is the Navarre Beach Pier. This is the longest fishing pier on the entire Gulf of Mexico! It’s gone under some new renovations and is absolutely gleaming. There are daily fishing licenses, and on-site restaurants, a kid’s play area, volleyball courts, and incredible views.

The pier is also a hot spot for surfers, kayakers, paddle-boarders, and artists. Come and catch some of the Gulf Coast’s most exciting species including Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Cobia and more. Try deep sea fishing or fish in the Santa Rosa Sound or Pensacola Bay, too.

Keep an eye out for hatching sea turtles while you’re on the beach as thousands of them are born each year. You can also visit Navarre’s resident sea turtle, Sweet Pea, and other marine life, at the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, conveniently located just across the street from the pier. The mission of the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station is to promote the appreciation, conservation, and understanding of the marine ecosystem of coastal Florida through education and service.

Jaws 2 was filmed in Navarre Beach and the movie is played often in the summer for locals and tourists. In addition, there are free music nights on the beach weekly throughout the summer, and fireworks over the sound for the fourth of July.

The Safari Line Ltd. is a safari train ride through 30 acres of free-roaming animals in their habitats. The Zoo is just 10 minutes from Navarre Beach.

Navarre Park is a great place to take the kids for a day off the beach. There’s a water play area, swings overlooking the ocean, a playground, and a duck pond. The Navarre Park also hosts "Thursdays in the Park Concert Series" which is a free concert from 6-8pm on Thursdays during the summer months.

Who’s hungry? Navarre Beach offers plenty of places to grab some grub. The best part is you’ll be hard pressed to find national chains here, only local fare.
