It’s easy to mix up the names in this stretch of Walton County. Seacrest Beach is a walkable development between Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach, anchored by an HOA with a huge lagoon pool, a beach tram, and a private beach, while Seacrest, often called “Old Seacrest,” is the quieter, less walkable stretch to the west, from Camp Creek Lake to Alys Beach, made up of separate neighborhoods. Staying within the Seacrest Beach development makes it easy to build a vacation around the community itself. Spend the morning at the lagoon pool, catch the tram to the Gulf, then walk or bike to nearby restaurants and town centers for dinner.
The community's 12,000-square-foot lagoon pool is at the center of Seacrest Beach, with a fountain, poolside cafe, and nearby amphitheater. Registered guests need valid HOA wristbands to use it.
Crabby Steve's at High Pointe has an ocean view. You can walk there for lunch or dinner without giving up your beach day.
Five tram routes serve the community. Walk to a designated stop and call for pickup. The tram takes registered guests to the beach access and lagoon.
Access the community’s 240-foot stretch of private, deeded beach across 30A at Sunset Beach. Walk the boardwalk or take the tram instead of carrying beach gear across the road. There's a restroom at the northeast corner.
In The Village of South Walton, you can walk or bike to restaurants, shops, covered pavilions, a fire pit, and even enjoy live entertainment. Try local favorites like Ticheli's pizza or Charlie’s donuts.
Rent bikes in The Village and follow the paved 30A path toward Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach.
A 10- to 15-minute walk west, Alys Beach's white masonry streets borrow from Antigua in Guatemala, Bermuda, and Morocco. Young kids can splash in the free fountain by the amphitheater.
Rosemary Beach's Barrett Square anchors its town center with restaurants, shops, and the weekly 30A Farmers' Market every Sunday morning. Families love dining on Pescado's rooftop, which is open until 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
