30A Comes Alive in Rosemary Beach
There’s something special about the charming, small-town feeling you experience in Rosemary Beach. It feels small and secluded when, in actuality, it’s very easy to access even if you have family or friends traveling to the area from out of state.
Located along Florida’s scenic highway 30A, it’s also a relatively short drive from two airports nearby if you need to fly in or out. And Rosemary Beach is right beside a number of equally charming seaside towns like Watercolor, Seaside and Grayton Beach, all unique and worth a visit of their own.
Rosemary Beach was named one of “America’s Most Romantic Small Towns” by CNN, which comes as no surprise to anyone who’s wandered its winding paths and cobblestone streets, or dined al fresco in its welcoming patios and courtyards.
When staying in one of our Rosemary Beach vacation rentals instead of a traditional hotel, you’ll have much more space and privacy, plus cost savings when booking a property for a large group. Some of our Rosemary Beach rentals even come with special amenities like a backyard pool, washer/dryer units, and bicycles. Whether you’re looking for a beach condo with amazing views, or a larger home for space for the entire family, you can find it on our site.
Expect sunshine everyday in Rosemary Beach - it’s Florida of course! It’s a comfortable 80 degrees most every day, with only a passing daily shower ruining your fun. Bring your best sunglasses and sunscreen and enjoy what makes Inlet Beach so special, the weather!
Top activities and attractions in Rosemary Beach
Rosemary Beach is divided by 30A into a north and south side. The north side is comprised of a long, grass park encircled by scrub oaks. At the far end is a bubbling fountain that every child seems immediately attracted to.
Around this park is a U-shape of boutiques, restaurants, a salon, bookstore, the town rental agency and real estate office. Beyond this commercial area are large homes, smaller carriage houses, pocket parks, community pools and the Homeowners’ clubhouse.
Like most Traditional Neighborhood Developments (TNDs), the best way to explore Rosemary Beach’s 107 acres is on foot (or on a beach cruiser). Wood-plank pathways meander through the town’s striking architecture, often revealing hidden amenities such as playgrounds, bubbling fountains, tennis courts or one of the community’s several cosmopolitan swimming pools. Meander your way through until you find the town’s 2,500 feet of glorious white sand beach.
The majority of homes in Rosemary Beach are designed with courtyards and smaller carriage houses. Deep, shaded porches are a staple on the homes here. Pebble walkways zig and zag throughout the community, meeting up at times with a fitness trail, raised boardwalk and parks.
The beautiful beaches may be the number one reason Rosemary Beach is such a fantastic vacation getaway. The water on the Emerald Coast is brilliant, the sand white and smooth and the coastal sand dunes a unique natural feature you can only see in America in this area. No visit is complete without a beach day or a late night moonlit stroll.
If you think a 30A vacay is just endless days full of lounging on the beach, getting sunburn, then we’ve got news for you. There are tons of fun things to do in this area. From hiking and biking to outdoors excursions like scuba diving, fishing and even cold springs eco-tours, you’ll find something fun for everyone when you’re planning a Rosemary Beach vacation.
One of the best things about visiting 30A is getting around town. In most situations, you can completely ditch the car and bike around instead. Two wheels are actually the most popular mode of transportation. There are biking paths and trails all over and it’s much easier to find a spot to park your bike than a car.
Restaurants and Bars
Come to Rosemary Beach hungry! Rosemary Beach is full of delicious restaurants, many of them boasting this area’s specialty: fresh seafood. Enjoy a delicious date night at Restaurant Paradis, a Contemporary American Seafood restaurant with amazing cocktails and a drool-inducing menu selection. Or visit Edward’s Fine Food and Wine for their famous scallops.
Pescado offers a roof-top lounge/bar and indoor dining. A delectable pizzeria, it has views of Rosemary Beach rooftops, courtyards and the Gulf beyond. It’s a relaxing place to catch sunset (and is open to ages 18 and up).
If you’re craving something decadent, stop by La Crema Tapas & Chocolate and treat yourself to dessert. Next door to La Crema is family-friendly Cowgirl Kitchen, where sports are usually playing on the TV, locals are drinking at the bar and families are chowing down.
As the sun goes down residents of Rosemary Beach like to unwind with breathtaking views and cold cocktails, often at scenic rooftop restaurants such as Havana Beach Bar & Grill, which offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico.
