Your family will have a great beach vacation in Destin, Florida when staying at Diamond Cove. This recently remodeled two-story luxury vacation home is located approximately 200 yards from the beach (3-4 minute walk) and is only one of three houses to overlook the neighborhood pool within the EMERALD SHORES subdivision, a gated beach ownership community! EMERALD SHORES is the only residential community in Destin that has a private beach pavilion with restrooms, outdoor showers, beach service, and its very own Cabana Cafe' & Bar! This eliminates having to go back to the home for potty breaks or to rinse off the kids, or just get a bite to eat with a cold beverage. It's all available at the Emerald Shores beach pavilion!
The home boasts two Master Bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Two queen bedrooms are upstairs that share a bathroom. This is a great set-up for two families with the upstairs bedrooms providing a sleeping area for the kids (sleeps up to 5 kids). Sit out on the front porch with a cold beverage and enjoy your direct view of the main pool! Wall-mounted smart TVs are located in every room. Ceiling fans are located in every area. Diamond Cove also has a detached Mother-In-Law suite complete with a living room, kitchenette, King Bedroom, and en suite bath.
Home is fully equipped with all kitchen wares and utensils for casual or gourmet dining. Your family will appreciate Diamond Cove's large porch, patios, fenced yard, gas barbecue grill, direct view of the pool, and close proximity to the private beach and pavilion.
Diamond Cove is a short walk to the beach, onsite tennis, and local restaurants. The property has free wireless high-speed internet access. Why settle for an entire week of that cramped condo feeling when you could be stretching out and enjoying all of the pleasures and domestic comforts of being in your own home while on vacation at the beach! There are 2 pools, one is seasonally heated, tennis courts, basketball, shuffle board, sidewalks, a beach Pavilion, a tram service (which is seasonal) plus much more. Diamond is only a 4 minute 30 second walk to our private beach and pavilion and located directly on the main pool. The location is excellent! This is a two story beach house complete with a separate mother-in-law suite. The front porch looks over the pool and is great for soaking in the morning gulf air with a little coffee. Diamond Cove has been recently renovated so that you'll feel comfortable in an upscale accommodation. Emerald Shores has convenient access to both Highway 98 (our back entrance) or out to the beach road. Emerald Shores is the only residential community in Destin with a private beach pavilion with restrooms, showers, a Cabana Bar N Grill and their very own beach service. It's a perfect set-up for a family friendly vacation!
Area Information
We are close to restaurants, water sports, the Silver Sands Outlet Mall (largest in the south) and Destin Commons. Destin Commons is a unique, open-air village, featuring upscale shopping, casual and fine dining, and a 14-screen, stadium-seating movie theater located 1.5 miles west. You can safely bike with the kids along the paved bike paths for awesome beach views. Our favorite activity. Beach bike rentals are available on-site!
You can walk to either Captain Dave's On The Gulf, Kenny D's Grill & Beach Bar, or Pompano Joe's Seafood and sample some of the local seafood flavors or just to relax and sip on a cold one.

About the owner: Our very first road trip to Destin was in 1987. We immediately fell in love with the sugar-white beaches and pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It was our little secret love nest that consisted mostly of walking on the beach and regular trips to the fish market. Well, Destin is no longer our little secret and we are very passionate about sharing all that it has to offer.
We have traveled extensively and "rented" property for our family vacations. So we fully understand and appreciate the importance of finding a great location, having easy access to amenities, and a quality home that is clean and well maintained. In 2001 we took the plunge and purchased our first property in Destin and started living "The Dream". Eventually we moved to Destin full-time.
When we are asked why we manage the properties ourselves, it's a pretty easy answer; Who cares more about a property than the actual owners? Our properties are not "out of sight, out of mind" investments with an out-of-state owner that is managed by some large cookie-cutter property management company. That is far from our approach. We live close to the rental properties and provide a hands-on approach to our guests and the properties. We even conduct our own weekly inspections! We also differ from the "herd" by regularly updating and upgrading our properties to keep the homes up-to-date and current. Since Betty has her Florida Real Estate license, it keeps us abreast of the most current trends in the housing and vacation rental markets.
