Unique Benefits
What made me fall in love with this home was a numerous amount of potential of things that I saw with this home. First was the location which is so close to the important things like the beaches, the restaurants, and the variety of grocery stores nearby. Venice, historic in nature, used to be a well-kept secret that is now found out by many others.
The other huge thing that I really loved about this home was not only the potential of the layout of the home, the idea of customizing from top to bottom making this home something special. The privacy in the back yard gave me so many ideas. Everything you see in the backyard and elsewhere in the home, I clearly saw a vision and being the artist that I am, I made this vision a reality. But not only for my family to enjoy, for others too. I wanted this place to be over the top. I made this you enjoy this as much as I do.
Area Information
Number # 1 unique attribute about my home's location is there is so much to do in this beach town area. Let's start with the beaches. Manasota beach is approximately 2 miles from home. All the beaches are free parking, and they have public bathrooms. You have your choice to explore multiple beaches that are minutes away such as Venice beach, Casparan beach if you like more privacy and sharks teeth, Sharkys on the pier which is my favorite because it's a busy beach and in the evening watching the sunset and beyond having a cocktail, the small planes take off and land all evening on top of looking at the sparkling water of the Gulf or staring at the beautiful night sky. Try it, it may become your favorite too. Nokomis beach which is known for its Jetties and park like surroundings with its famous drum circle, Englewood beach, beautiful beach with a variety of restaurants and tiki bars and of course number 1 beach in the U.S. Siesta Key with a short 25-minute drive.
#2 For those who like adventure and love nature, The Legacy Trail is on the bucket list. This bike trail goes from Shammock Park all the way to North Sarasota. Along the way you will go under bridges, over bridges including wooden bridges, waterways, and railroad trestles. You can catch the trail from taking back roads from the vacation home to Shammock Park and catch the trail starting there. You can also bike ride to the beach.
3# Hey Mom. I want to go fishing! No problem. While mom and dad are enjoying a pina colada from the tiki bar, the family can fish off the pier with a very inexpensive all-day rate to fish around 20 with bait bucket, bait, and fishing poles. But wait, I want to paddle board, they have that too. You can rent this by the hour. Not enough excitement? They have parasailing nearby who want the ultimate flying experience.
This area also has multiple choices of waterfront dining. One popular place is Pops. Kick back at the tiki and listen to the live music. Also, in the surrounding area is, multiple driving ranges nearby and my favorite Golf course which is Waterford featuring beautiful water and with a scenic wooded course. 25 per person to golf with golf cart.
4# This coastal beach town has a large number of mom-and-pop restaurants to choose from which I highly recommend because you never know when you stumble upon some dish that is very unique. We also have all the chain restaurants that are excellent such as Carabba's, Bonefish, Outback Steak House, Pinchers and First Watch. From Irish Pubs to Seafood or Italian, we have this all in the close proximity to your stay here.
5 # Men, hide the credit cards. This is a shopper's paradise. Everything from classic cars to TK Max for the ladies and everything in between.
What is nice about this location is the food shopping variety. So, I will start with the basics, Walmart, which is a mile away, Publix, 1.2 miles away. We also have an Aldi here! Detwiler's framers' market which is our permanent indoor everyday farmers market not only have the best variety of vegetables but kills the competition with their fresh daily seafood also they serve lobster rolls, homemade clam bisque, hotdogs and fresh homemade ice cream.
6# Downtown Venice. The city on the Gulf. Enjoy strolling through the town with its unique scenery with many boutique shops along the streets. From ice cream shops to its vast variety of restaurants to choose from, car shows to art festivals, Venice has entertainment for everyone. Venice also has a variety of evening night life to choose from. For example, Made in Italy is a wonderful restaurant with its famous wood oven pizzas has live dance music on the weekends. The Daiquiri deck famous for its frozen daiquiris also has live music. The Zebra lounge is a great place after dinner for a glass of wine with its evening live piano entertainment which the whole crowd can sing along with. T.J.Carneys Irish Pub also has live music and entertainment. The location is close for you to explore many towns nearby that all have different things to offer such as Englewood Beach, Punta Gorda with all its ethnic restaurants, tiki bars, dancing etc. Sarasota, larger than the other towns which is truly the Emerald of all Florida. I recommend start with St Armands Circle Sarasota. Tampa Bay with all its vast excitement, St. Petersburgh which one of my favorite places in the world. Orlando. It's an amazing town which you could do in a day trip from here.

About the owner: Originally from Pittsburgh, I've lived in the surrounding area since 1998.
Why this property? I love this area, and this is why I bought here. South of the fast pace of Sarasota is a piece of paradise, Venice. The access to the beaches, restaurants and stores is so convenient. Lots to do here for fun. The people are friendly, I have been to a lot of places in Florida, I feel it's one the best. This house had so much potential. We both loved it, and I began to put my vision into reality.

Very updated and close to everything
We loved it as soon as we checked in. We love to go to the different surrounding beaches and local pubs. But we also could enjoy just staying at home and relaxing by the pool. We did enjoy the hot tub as well. Thank you Frank for always getting back to us if we needed anything.
