Venice Island (Venice, Florida) Cozy home, private pool, close to Golf beaches

Location, Location, Location

We spent four weeks here in March- April. Two things made me give it an excellent rating, the location and the pool area. It is a 15 minute or so walk to beach access or a 3 minute drive, with plenty of parking to several beach access areas, the pier and restaurants, and the dog beach which we used a lot. You are in an area not as large as Sarasota so although there is still traffic as you head to shopping, etc., it is far less than these larger areas. The heated pool area is gorgeous, with some coverage by the house and lots of sun most of the day if you want it. Lots of lounge chairs and lots of space, also a great place to sit at night with lighting and fans. There is a grassy yard beyond for the dog. The house if clean and kitchen well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. It has a somewhat "vintage" vibe to it and two of the bedrooms are connected with sliding wooden doors. If privacy is needed the back bedroom has sliding doors to the pool area, where you could then enter the house, without going through the other bedroom. There are tons of towels provided and some beach equipment; we particularly enjoyed that there was a quality beach umbrella available. It is not a long drive to Siesta Key or other beaches you want to visit, other than dealing at times with traffic. Downtown is also very close as well as great restaurants, a grocery store, liquor store and pharmacy. We would return hands down!

Paradise

Wonderful home. Very clean and well stocked and close to many stores, restaurants, and beaches. Very nice pool area. Looking forward to our next visit already!!

Villa Southview is amazing!!

We enjoyed staying here for 16 days the end of April! House was awesome. We enjoyed the pool, fishing off the dock and the privacy in this house and neighborhood. You have close neighbors but with all the beautiful landscaping around the house and pool area you don’t even know!! We loved waking up and sitting on the lunai watching the fish jump and fly thru the air in the canal! I would recommend this vacation rental especially if your looking for some relaxing family time!!

Awesome!

My family of 5 loved this house and the beautiful location. Plenty of room for the family to spread out and the kids loved the pool! Close to great beaches and a fun little downtown area.

Beautiful Home

We loved our stay in this comfortable, modern home. It had all we needed. We enjoyed all our meals outside on the back porch with birds serenading us. It’s a good place to start our bike rides. We used the ferry pass to get to the beach to sift for shark teeth and when the winds are calm the water is super clear. When we were tired from exploring the town we’d relax by the pool. Great Venice Location

The house location is within walking distance of beautiful Historic Venice with small shops and restaurants. It is also close to Venice Beach, Sharkys Beach and the pier. You can walk or take a 2 minute drive. The house has a lanai with a pool and very private back yard.

Comfortable house with a private swimming pool

This house was very comfortable for our family. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessities plus the owners (and other visitors) have added to the spices to save each other the trouble of needing to purchase more herbs and spices. We added to the "stash". As a country we were (are) in the midst of COVID-19, this house was a wonderful place to vacation to and just spend time with family over meals and visiting the many uncrowded beaches! Kathy met us shortly after we arrived (and unpacked) to deliver the house key to us. She was very helpful with sharing information about the Venice area and how to get around. A few days later we discovered the blender was broken, and Kathy was quick to replace the blender for us.Venice is a beautiful small city and would be a wonderful place to visit the many small shops in an otherwise "healthy" time. There are many museums to visit. One day we will return to the beautiful area.The nearby beaches are GREAT for shark teeth hunting and shell collecting. We were very fortunate to find many "keepers".
