Flamingo Cottage is an adorable 3 bedroom stilt home nestled among tropical foliage. There are two bedrooms and one bath on the main living level of this home plus a private studio type apartment with a private bath on the ground level. This home has a cozy cottage like feeling with an open living floor plan, small dining area with sliding doors to a balcony on the side of the house and a fully equipped kitchen. A brand new heated swimming pool has just been completed. New tropical foliage surrounds the property and there are numerous places to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You'll love the balcony off the kitchen with outdoor table and chairs for dining. There's also a balcony across the front of the house that offers views of the sunrise and partial ocean views. Outdoor seating areas are located throughout the property. There's a covered sitting area, outdoor shower, washer/dryer and bathroom on the ground level. This home is perfect for 4 people with room for 2 more occasional guests. Although this is a "dry lot" there are ocean views from the living room, front porch and roof top sunning area. There is a well maintained neighborhood boat ramp at the end of the street - about 200 yards from the house. Launching your boat here will be an easy task and the trailer can be stored in your driveway while you enjoy the ocean waters - fishing, diving, snorkeling or just sightseeing. This Islamorada location is ¼ mile from Islamorada's Founders Parks at Mile Marker 87 which features a sandy beach, tennis courts, an amphitheater and an Olympic sized pool. Upstairs the beds are queen, full, and pull-out queen. Ground level there is a full sized bed.

Rate Details: Rent is $3500 to $4500/month depending on season. Monthly Rates are calculated from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the month. If your plans are for less than a month we may be able to help with other properties. Please call the office. Additional Charges: $275 departure cleaning fee; reservation fee 3.9% of base rent; and 12.5% state and local taxes. Refundable Security Deposit: $1000. Pet Fees: Pets are accepted at this property on a case by case basis. There is an additional security deposit of $200 if your pet is accepted. Utility Caps/Mo: $200 water and $250 electricity. Optional Insurances: The fee for Accidental Damage Insurance is $45 and covers up to $3,000 of accidental damage during your stay. Pets are accepted at this property on a case by case basis. If you plan to bring a pet we will need to know the breed, age, and weight. If your pet is accepted there is an additional refundable security deposit of $200 for one pet and $100 for an additional pet plus an additional $45 departure cleaning fee. We also offer Travel Insurance. The price is 7.5% of the total cost of your reservation. Plans include valuable medical coverage, trip interruption, emergency travel services and more. We really enjoyed our stay at Flamingo Cottage and made it work despite Covid being a huge factor “in the air” disabling us from dining at all our favorite spots and the fact that the place itself needs a considerable amount of work on the cement stairs going to main floor and all the surrounding pavement on all 3 levels except for the pool area which is where my husband & I spent the majority of the time or at Sunset Point in Key Largo for ocean swimming. We also took a drive to Anhinga Park of the Everglades, visited Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda State Park. Towards the end of our stay most of the beaches closed which saddened us. We did do almost all of our cooking and enjoyed using the grill near the Tiki Bar often as well. With a little work this place could be very nice if the furniture was updated and the building surrounding exterior were fixed up and the hurricane shutters & winding staircase were repainted.. The Cafe set by the pool could be replaced. The staff were most efficient!
The flamingo cottage was as advertised. Comfortable surroundings, beautiful pool, private sunbathing areas and beautiful ocean view.
Lovely little home on a quiet street
I rented this so I could have a quiet place to swim and relax before undergoing major surgery. The pool area is a perfect oasis with the occasional visiting birds and squirrels. The house is comfortable and although it’s an older home, it has everything you need. I love that it’s in a residential area. Very little ambient light means you get an amazing night sky view from the widows walk area. The management is very responsive and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
