Islamorada Beachfront Apartment - Great Sunsets! Private Beach!

Beautiful location, bright, clean apartment!

The location of this apartment is amazing. You are right on the ocean with a very private beach directly out your front door. We spent many days on the lounge chairs enjoying the view and listening to the ocean waves. We were entertained by the many fishing boats passing by. You can’t beat this view or location if you stay in the Keys. Islamorada is probably the nicest Key. Many great restaurants and quieter than Key West. The apartment itself is a perfect size for 2 people. It’s very well appointed with what you need such as spices, induction cook top, kettle, blender and even your own bbq. We are very fussy with things being clean and I have to say this is the cleanest rental we have stayed in. Jerry was the perfect host. We will definitely be back.

Island beauty at it’s finest

This is a wonderful rental to enjoy what Islamorada is all about.The post card sunsets and the relaxing sounds of the waves. Definitely laid back, but all of the amenities that you need. The host’s are such nice and informative people whether it is the history of Islamorada that you are interested in or the best places to eat, what to do for fun or just conversation in passing. I would definitely recommend this rental to someone that needs alone time or a romantic getaway for a couple.

A slice of paradise

This place is perfect for a peaceful stay! The beach is right outside the room! We saw dolphins playing in the mornings, snorkeled off the beach, and had the chairs and hammock provided. The location is perfect for exploring the keys and many great restaurants close by.

This is a magical place.

My wife and I just returned home our stay at this beautiful place. This is the most relaxing and beautiful place. We had a shared interest at a place on Maui and this is much better than Maui. Gerry is a great resource for places to go. My wife and I love it here. You can't go wrong here!!!

Jetson House

We had amazing time. Private beach, paddle board rentals, snorkeling off the artificial reef, wonderful accomodations and recommendations from the owners of restaurants and excursion that suited us. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a quiet vacation away from it all.

Easy to Work With

Although we had to cancel our trip due to a medical issue, Jerry was extremely helpful during the booking process. He answered all of my many questions and offered suggestions and activities. Perfection

It was the best rental we have ever had in our 12 years traveling to the Keys. Not one thing was overlooked. The peace and tranquillity of the grounds in the evening was wonderful. It rained most of our trip so it can be a little tight but usually you spend the majority of your time outside. It was decorated beautifully and thank crew line s were given as well. We will definitely be back in the drier months to utilize the beauty of this place. Thank you!!

Worth Every Penny

As others have stated, this private area of paradise is nothing short of spectacular. One of the very few private beaches in the Keys, this place has everything you could want. The views go on for days and watching the boats go by makes it more interesting. The amenities are top notch and Jerry has everything there waiting for you. The entire grounds are immaculate. However, even paradise can have its faults. You will want to wake up early every day because a minute of missing the views is a minute of missing peace. As well you would want to stay up late and night to stare at the stars and listen to the water lap, ever so gently, at the shore. Also you would not want to sit out on the beach and take long naps during the day because you just would not want to miss a minute of anything. So if you stay for a week, you will get very little sleep so be prepared. Its that good. We made the 15 hour drive from NC and would do it again in a second. Do have to warn you though, the Cuban restaurant down the street....their appetizers and entree's are enough to feed 3 people each so keep that in mind when ordering.

Ahhh!

We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet and relaxed week. One of the best vacations ever. The unit was nicely outfitted with modern amenities and the outside was a white sand beach with beautiful sunsets. Our host was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again when visiting the Keys.

A slice of paradise

Jerry and Leisa’s place was just what my husband and I were looking for as a getaway spot. Our first time to the Keys, we got great recs from them on where to go and what to see, and having a little bit of beach to relax on made it a great home base to work from. Perfect room with all the necessities to make your stay work. Stocked kitchenette, TV (though we didn’t use because there was so much to pack into our few days there), beautiful bathroom. A great spot all around.

Solitude Oasis

During this pandemic Jerry’s rental was the perfect place to decompress and seek solitude. Wonderful private beach

A hidden gem! My husband and I had such a wonderful anniversary trip. We enjoyed looking out at the beach every morning when we woke. Jerry was extremely helpful in pointing out some excellent restaurants. He also has all the fun toys you can rent by the week. The apartment, while small, was perfect and cozy. A small kitchen but big enough to to cook meals and grill out. We have already booked a return trip!! Thank you, Jerry, for a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful Escape

This place was so clean and well maintained. My husband and I could only stayed a few days, but it was so peaceful and private. The beach is gorgeous. We hope to go back soon. Highly recommend for a couple getaway!

Wonderful Winter Mini Vacation

The location was absolutely beautiful. Quiet and safe. The owner, Jerry, was very friendly and helpful with many restaurant recommendations. The small apartment was spotless, and amenities adequate for 2 guests. The on site rental kayak was a real treat for us. On calm days we really enjoyed scouting out the nearby shallow mangroves. We loved Anne's Beach, a short drive away, with small sandy areas, a nice walkway and covered picnic tables. Fresh lobster and crab was available just down the street and a nice Publix store a short drive away. A great getaway spot, if you do not mind sharing someone's home.

My wife and I celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary at the Jetson House, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay.The beach views day and night were postcards come to life. We saw dolphins swim by off the private beach on at least 2 days, and while using the kayak we saw dolphins, stingrays, nurse sharks, iguanas, and even had a manatee rise and blow a few feet from us. We were blown away.Jerry and Lisa were wonderful hosts and provided numerous great suggestions on dining, all of which were within a 15 minute drive, and excellent. We took a short drive to Key west to watch the sunset and check out Mallory Square, but found Islamorada to be the crown jewel of the Keys! The area is loaded with attractions and fine dining.If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just some peaceful alone time on a beach, I just can't imagine a better place to go. Everything was modern clean and prestine! Counting down the days until we can return!Thank you!

Beyond wonderful

We cannot believe how amazing this was! It was more than we could have ever hoped for! I honestly thought everyone's reviews were too good to be true, but I can honestly tell you, the reviews we are leaving are not giving enough praise on how great this stay was. This apt is wonderfully minimal, but has everything you could possibly need. Jerry, has everything on site to rent: kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, and snorkeling gear. It was so nice to wake up with the sun, get in the kayak and row next to the dolphins playing in the warm salt water. Seriously, we were rowing 15 ft from playing dolphins! We saw dolphins almost daily, manatees are right in the canals, and sand sharks swimming the ocean floor. The coral reef is about 100 yards out from your private beach. New seashells, washed in everyday for fun treasure hunts, and the sun sets are so romantic you feel like your in a dream. Jerry, is very kind and if you have questions he is always available for answers, but will give you all the privacy you deserve. It was very nice to have access to laundry & a covered parking spot. We highly recommend Habanos restaurant close to the house, it was the best food we had during our stay & to be honest some of the best food I've ever had in my life! It's not fancy & has great pricing, and you might get to see a manatee if your watching the docks out back. We will be back to the Jetson's home time and time again. This was the best vacation my husband and I have ever had! We can't wait to come back!

Nice spot

Excellent getaway, beautiful setting your own beach, The evenings were the best.

This was the perfect getaway spot for us. The apartment has everything you need and more. The owners were excellent and very accommodating. Nothing like having your own private beach to enjoy. We even had dolphins swimming in frount of the beach in the mornings. The location is excellent, close enough to all the attractions you may want to visit yet extremely private and quiet. At night all you could hear was the ocean and the breeze.

Paradise!

This property is in a fantastic location with its own private beach! It has a well equipped kitchenette and grill for cooking if you aren't comfortable eating out during the Coronavirus. It's clean, quiet, and a perfect place to relax! Jerry and Lisa are very hospitable and helpful! But, at the same time, they give you all the privacy and space you could ever want or need! We will definitely go back and will recommend this beautiful piece of paradise to our friends and family!

Hidden Gem!

When we arrived to the Jetsons house we were greeted by Jerry. He gave us a tour of the property. The beautiful gated home is private and secluded. They had everything we could possibly need- snorkels, bikes, paddleboards, kayaks, hammock, cooler, bbq grill, washer/dryer and much more. Jerry had great restaurant recommendations. The location is perfect. The view from the room was breathtaking and the sunsets will silent the world around you. We can’t wait to return!

Piece of Paradise

My Husband and I are celebrating his 40th Birthday and our Anniversary! The Jetson House couldn't be more perfect! Mr. Manzo has been great to work! His home is beautiful and perfect for a couple looking for a getaway! Beautifully decorated and everything you could possibly need will be right at your fingertips. The views are fantastic. Hidden Gem!!

This was such an amazing property. The owners were so friendly and very helpful on local recommendations. The property was very clean. There were high-end touches and details (down to the white robes provided.) We had many different activities that were available to us such as paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear. Islamorada Gem

I’d been to Islamorada before but never experienced a stay on such a hidden treasure as this. The apartment occupies the lower level of the owner’s home on a private stretch of beach on the Florida Bay 25 yards from the ocean. The apartment is small but beautifully appointed. You would be hard-pressed to find views like this, waking up to the gorgeous water, white sand beach, and witnessing spectacular sunsets. What impressed us was the lovely outdoor living space - lounge chairs, gas grill, kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes. Being a native Keys resident, the owner Jerry, was very attentive and had a wealth of knowledge on restaurants and island ventures.

Wonderful!

I have stayed here twice and can’t recommend this property enough! I struggled to write this because there are so many wonderful things about this little piece of paradise! The beach in unbelievably gorgeous with a beautiful sunset every night. The fishing from shore is great! The privacy is priceless! Jerry and Lisa are wonderful hosts. There are no negatives!

Incredible views and water.

Lower Matecumbe Key is beautiful and secluded. You need to be a boater with a boat or enjoy water sports, or just like the quiet. This unit is small, regular bed. There are plenty of items on the property to rent (paddleboard, kayak), none included with the $170 per day price plus 40% surcharge. Pricey but very private. Owner lives upstairs and is a very nice landlord. We stayed 17 days and did not read the contract carefully enough so the monthly rate which we thought applied apparently did not. That was disappointing.

The perfect vacation for two

Have spent a month here with my girlfriend the past two summers. Jerry and Lisa are great hosts, Jerry knows a lot about the keys having lived there nearly his whole life and is great to talk to. The location is prime, with a private beach like no other, that you can snorkel off of and enjoy breathtaking sunsets from. Some great spots to go out to eat, and the there are no limits to what you can do out the ocean. Great fishing and diving! We will definitely be coming back, really doesn't get better than this!
