About the owner: We are thrilled to be able to offer our home in Islamorada, which has been totally renovated as of 2024. Our family has been vacationing in this area for many years, and now having our own space here is magical.

Being from the Great Lakes Region, we are happy to spend the winter months in the sunny south. We appreciate the lifestyle and pace of the Florida Keys, as well as all of the fabulous restaurants, boating, snorkeling and fishing opportunities the area provides.

Why this property? Lower Matecumbe generally, and Sapodilla Drive specifically, is an idyllic location in Islamorada. Only five miles to everything downtown Islamorada offers, including restaurants, shopping, beer gardens, art walks, and wine tastings, you are always close to the action. Our street is near the 75 mile marker where you enter a lovely residential neighborhood . Lots of miles for walking, biking , kayaking, or boating are right outside your door.

Perhaps you prefer enjoying the large fenced and gated yard with a new private pool and spa, or relish viewing the water and pool while reading a book on the daybed in the adjacent covered sunroom. With plenty of lounge seating available, both in the sun and in the shade, everyone will find a spot to call their own. High top cafe dining and lounge seating up on the lanai are perfect places to enjoy cool drinks, dinner and tranquil water vistas. The evening sky is filled with streaks of colorful rays from the Bay side sunset and the night sky is a mass of incredible stars.

Being situated on Sandy Cove Basin provides lovely water views, and the Basin opens to a large canal with direct access to the Florida Bay. Once in the Bay, you are in close proximity to ocean access. You can moor your boat on the new 42’ dock, where the water depth at low tide is approximately three feet. Keep an eye out for the manatees that love to lounge right in front of our home!

All three bedrooms have king beds and en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Two are located upstairs, one on each side of the main living area. The third is on the ground floor, with its own A/C and sliders to the yard and pool/spa. There is also a powder room upstairs in the main living area.

The kitchen is wonderfully appointed with SS appliances, induction stove, wine cooler, and lots of smaller appliances to handle most kitchen duties and cooks’ needs. Sharp knives, Circulon cookware and plenty of utensils, tableware and drinkware for both inside and outside dining are provided. Counter seating and a banquette allow space for inside eating, computer work or games.

Enjoy cable on the two Smart tv. Internet and WiFi are also included. Ceiling fans are in every room. The Blackstone griddle is perfect for grilling your fresh catch, veggies, steaks, as well as preparing pancakes and eggs. Two kayaks and two bikes are available for your use. A fish cleaning station and dedicated bait/ fish freezer are also provided.
