Unique Benefits
Why Hooked on Islamorada Stands Apart
Most Florida Keys vacation rentals offer a water view. Few offer this:
Private Dock with Power & Water — Bring your own boat (up to 24') or arrange a rental . Fish the flats at first light, run to the Islamorada Sandbar by afternoon, and rinse gear at the dock before dinner.
Private Sandy Water Entry — No boat ramp, no crowded beach. Launch a kayak, watch the sunrise from the shore with a coffee in hand.
Fish Cleaning Station On-Site — Bring in your catch and clean it steps from your kitchen. Not something you find at most rental properties.
Oceanfront Pool in a Gated Community — Relax without the resort crowds. The pool deck has direct ocean views and stays quiet — it's a small community, not a hotel.
Honest Waterfront Access — The dock, the sandy entry, the pool, and the balcony are all steps from your door. This isn't a "water view from the parking lot" situation.
Pet-Friendly — Approved pets welcome. Island life is better with them.
If you're booking in the Keys to actually be on the water — not just near it — this is the property.
Why Kids Love It
Why Families Choose Hooked on Islamorada
Traveling with kids in the Florida Keys is easy when your rental is built for it. Hooked on Islamorada gives families real space, safe water access, and a quiet setting — without sacrificing the quality that makes a vacation feel special.
Easy Water Access — The private sandy entry is a convenient launch point for kayaks and water gear — right at the property, no boat ramp or crowded beach required.
Oceanfront Pool Steps from Your Door — Kids swim while parents unwind. The gated pool deck has direct ocean views and stays quiet — no resort crowds or noise.
Room for Everyone — Three bedrooms, three full baths, and an open-concept living area give families space to spread out, cook together, and decompress after a full day on the water.
Gated, Low-Traffic Community — Kids can move freely in a safe, quiet setting. Parents appreciate the security without feeling isolated.
Theater of the Sea Within Walking Distance — One of Islamorada's most popular family attractions is steps away. Dolphin encounters, live shows, and tropical gardens — no long drive required.
Everything Already Here — Kayaks, beach chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen. Less packing, less logistics, more time enjoying the Keys.
Islamorada, Florida Keys — MM84
Islamorada is known as the Sportfishing Capital of the World — and it earns that title. Stretching across six islands in the upper Florida Keys, it sits at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Florida Bay, giving anglers and water enthusiasts access to offshore, reef, and backcountry fishing all within minutes of the dock.
But Islamorada is more than fishing. It's one of the most vibrant, well-rounded destinations in the Keys — with world-class dining, snorkeling, diving, and a laid-back island culture that keeps guests coming back year after year.
What Brings People Here
Fishing — Offshore, reef, backcountry, and flats fishing. Tarpon, mahi, sailfish, bonefish, and lobster season in late July. Launch from the private dock or book a charter at nearby Bud N' Mary's Marina, one of the most well-known fishing marinas in the Florida Keys.
Water Sports — Snorkel Alligator Reef, kayak the backcountry, or run to the Islamorada Sandbar at MM84 for a classic Keys afternoon.
Dining & Nightlife — Waterfront restaurants, tiki bars, and local institutions within walking distance or a short drive.
Family Attractions — Theater of the Sea is steps away. Glass-bottom boat tours, dolphin encounters, and marine wildlife exhibits.
The Pace — Islamorada moves slower than the mainland. That's the point.
Hooked on Islamorada puts you at MM84 — close to everything, far enough from the crowds.
Right Outside Your Door — MM84, Old Highway, Islamorada
Hooked on Islamorada sits on the Old Highway at MM84 — one of the best-located vacation rentals on the island. No car needed for most of your day.
Across the Street
Theater of the Sea — One of the Florida Keys' most popular family attractions. Dolphin encounters, live marine shows, and tropical gardens. Literally across the street.
Ocean View Inn & Sports Pub — Fresh seafood, cold drinks, live music, and a classic Keys atmosphere. Walk over for happy hour or a casual dinner.
Next Door
Three Waters Resort & Marina — Boutique shops, waterfront dining, cocktails, and island ambiance. Step out your front door and you're there.
Starbucks — Morning coffee without the drive.
Short Walk
Hog Heaven — Waterfront bar and grill known for fresh seafood and lively Keys energy. About a 10-minute walk along the Old Highway.
Where to Eat in Islamorada — Near Hooked on Islamorada
Islamorada punches well above its size for dining. From breakfast shacks to fine dining, here are the spots worth knowing:
Walk or Short Drive
Ocean View Inn & Sports Pub — Across the street. Classic Keys bar with fresh seafood, cold drinks, and live music. Good for a casual night without getting in the car.
Hog Heaven — About a 10-minute walk. Waterfront bar and grill with a lively atmosphere, fresh catch, and strong drinks.
Three Waters Resort — Next door. Waterfront dining and cocktails with an upscale island vibe.
Short Drive
Mangrove Mike's Café (MM82) — The go-to breakfast spot. Open 6am–2pm daily. Locals swear by it — arrive early on weekends.
Ziggie & Mad Dog's (MM83) — Islamorada's premier steakhouse. Prime cuts, fresh seafood, and a storied Keys history. Dinner only.
Square Grouper — Upscale island cuisine. Best choice for a special dinner or date night.
Marker 88 (MM88) — A Keys institution since 1967. Beachfront dining, craft cocktails, and some of the best sunset views on the island. Worth the short drive.
Inside Scoop — Local Tips for Your Stay
A few things worth knowing that don't always make it into the travel guides:
The Islamorada Sandbar is in your backyard — The sandbar is right offshore from MM84. Rent a boat, anchor up, and spend the afternoon floating in turquoise water with half of Islamorada on a weekend. One of the best free experiences in the Keys — you just need a boat to get there.
Sunset at Lorelei — Head to Lorelei Restaurant & Cabana Bar at MM82 for the nightly sunset celebration. Live music, happy hour 4–6 PM daily, bayside views. Arrive at least an hour before sunset to get a waterfront table — it fills up fast.
Hook and Cook — Bring in your day's catch and have the kitchen at Lazy Days or Chef Michael's cook it for you. Fresh-caught fish, prepared the way you want it. It's one of those Keys experiences worth planning around.
Bad Boy Burrito — Tucked behind the Trading Post at MM82 in Village Square. Easy to miss, worth finding. Fresh tacos, fish burritos, Keys-casual atmosphere. Open Monday through Saturday.
Library Beach Park — A quiet, low-traffic swimming spot behind the Islamorada Library. Good option when you want calm water without the boat traffic or crowds.
Lobster Mini-Season — Typically the last Wednesday and Thursday of July. The reefs around MM84 are some of the best spots in the Keys. Go midweek during regular season to beat the crowds. Local dive shops near Bud N' Mary's can set you up with gear and reef intel.

Great vacation
We had a great time at peaceful palms. The townhouse was very comfortable and well stocked. Jamie and Charlie were great hosts, very responsive to anything we needed. We had our boat with us and spent most days out on the spectacular waters of Islamorada. There are very good restaurants and bars close by. I would highly recommend this luxury vacation home. Looking forward to returning.

Christmas vacation
Our family of 6, which consists of our two children and their spouses, stayed in Islamorada for a week right after Christmas. From the very beginning Jamie and Charlie were helpful. The booking and payment were so easy. Upon arrival to the house we were in love. The house was gorgeous and clean. The views were good and the property was perfect. We loved having the pool and the waterfront right there. The place was very quiet and the other people we met there were friendly. Everything was picture perfect. The furniture and amenities were spot on. This was our first time to the Keys and we will most definitely be back. Thank you to the Moores for a beautiful place we got to call our own for a week full of laughs and memories. Your hospitality is appreciated. We would Most definitely rent with you again!

Ashlee B.Most amazing stay!!
We booked this property last minute for a two family getaway in Islamorada Labor Day weekend and it exceeded every expectation! From the very beginning, the owner was beyond communicative and responsive, making the entire process smooth and stress-free.The home itself is stunning—beautiful new construction with a modern yet comfortable feel. It was stocked with absolutely everything we could possibly need, from a fully equipped kitchen to bathroom essentials and even cleaning/laundry supplies. The attention to detail made it feel like a true home away from home. The sailfish mount on the wall was actually caught by Jamie (the owner) herself! We are a huge fishing family so that made the space even more awesome!!The outdoor space was a dream! Each floor had huge balconies where we could sit and relax! We had our own personal dock for the boat, which made getting to the water effortless. Each slip had a convenient hose to wash down the boat and gear. The fish cleaning station was definitely a plus for my husband! Right next to the dock was a beach area where the kids were able to get kayaks and paddle board's easily in and out of the water. The relaxing pool was perfect for both adults and kids, and having garage space to store all of our equipment was such a bonus. We loved how close we were to everything—the famous Islamorada sandbar was only a couple of minutes away, and the area offered some of the best fishing and lobstering around. Plus, there were amazing restaurants just a short drive away on the nights we didn’t feel like cooking. This property is incredibly kid-friendly, which gave us peace of mind and allowed the whole family to relax and enjoy. We can’t recommend this place enough—it’s truly the perfect spot to enjoy everything Islamorada has to offer. We’re already looking forward to booking again!

Islamorada Fun for All
We had the most fabulous time at Peaceful Palms. The hosts (Jamie and Charlie) were amazing in every way, from booking questions to where to eat, things to see and local contacts to make our stay worthwhile. The home is immaculate, and comfortable. Whether it’s just the two of you or a whole family. The kitchen has a great supply of cookware, utensils and some basic cooking supplies. The home is right on the water where our daughter fished everyday off the pier, catching an array of different fish. Views beyond belief, from watching boats navigate to the Sandbar, to watching the sun go down off your balcony! The property is close to several great eateries that you could walk to (it was very warm, so we drove). We loved the home, the area, restaurants, and everything about this amazing property and can’t wait for our next visit.

We loved our two week stay at this beautiful place! We brought our dog, Keys, and she probably had more fun than we did. We also brought our boat. The owners had everything we needed and more. They are the best! The home was immaculate, one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. We go to Islamorada at least twice a year and have stayed at different locations, this view was one of our favorites. We will be returning. Thank you for an incredible stay! Can't wait to come back!!!

Stunning and comfortable
Staying here was an absolute dream. We love visiting Florida and have driven to key west in the past. I have always wanted to stay in Islamorada. These hosts set us up with a boat rental place and the charter captain at that rental spot does shark fishing in the evenings!! Soooo much fun! The home is immaculate with high ceilings beautiful furnishings top of the line appliances, including washer/dryer. Beds were so comfortable! Spectacular views of the ocean from both decks ( living room and master bedroom deck). my wife and I loved this house and the area restaurants/ fun pubs/brewery. There is dock space and chairs to watch boats, sunset and sunrise. The pool is wonderful area with views of the boats at the sandbar! Rent a boat and go to the sandbar for the day!! We did and was a blast meeting new people. This is how the Florida keys should be spent. Relaxing and fun. 100% will go back!

My husband & I along with 4 friends had an amazing vacation in Islamorada. With it being our 1st time to the keys our hosts, Jamie & Charlie were extremely helpful in recommending the best local restaurants for food and cocktails, Key Lime pie, sunsets and more. Very responsive to any questions we had. This property is GORGEOUS! Great balcony with comfortable tables and chairs for morning coffee & conversations as well as Adirondack chairs to sink into while enjoying evening cocktails while overlooking the ocean. Jamie & Charlie thought of every detail with this home. Plush comfy beds, pillows and super soft towels. The amenities were abundant…they thought of everything. We can’t wait to return to see what else this beautiful area has to offer.

Jill B.Luxurious!!
Oceanview Properties in Islamorada was the last stop of my winter travels and was definitely the best decision I’ve made. Tucked into the gated community with brand new amenities, it was very tastefully decorated and had a completely furnished kitchen with everything you would use at home to cook and feel comfortable. Hairdryers, shampoo and lotions, plus other luxuries were also provided, including a washer and dryer. It felt just like home only I was pampered. The location is perfectly located and close to many local treasures, including the entertainment at the Oceanview bar across the street and within walking distance to the Starbucks and Hog Heaven restaurant, which turned out to be one of my favorites. Fishing with The Tan Man Charters at Bud N’ Mary’s Marina is also close by.I definitely recommend this spacious and special rental and plan to make it my choice for future trips to The Keys. Loved it!
