Relax in comfort in the large private pool and waterfront dock on the Heron Lagoon. The Hibiscus Hideaway is a single level home with upscale furnishings and amenities to help ensure a wonderful stay.
The Hibiscus Hideaway is tucked between Turtle Beach (1 mile) and Crescent Beach (1.3 miles). Famous Siesta Key beach and Siesta village are a short, free trolley ride and tip-only ride away. The trolley will pick up and drop off right in front of the house. The Stickney Point Bridge is just a mile away and provides easy access to Sarasota and many nearby seaside towns.
The Heron Lagoon is a 2 mile, enclosed waterway teeming with wildlife and natural beauty. Enjoy relaxing on the waterfront deck and dock, watching beautiful tropical birds. Take in the quiet view and peacefulness of island living. Drop a line in the water to catch local fish species, including the highly sought after snook and red fish. Kayaks are included onsite to experience the lagoon's calm waters, mangroves and lush vegetation. View beautiful South Siesta homes, many visible only from paddling on the lagoon.
The Hibiscus Hideaway is ideal for families and friends who would like to stay together in their own private home. It is convenient for folks who have challenges with climbing stairs. There is one small step inside the home, otherwise all the living space and parking is at ground level.
The Hibiscus Hideaway was recently renovated with an open concept layout. A heated salt water pool and hot tub are surrounded by a large patio, perfect for entertaining and hanging out. The waterfront windows bring in the sunshine and breeze without compromising privacy. The decor is bright and tropical with a classic vintage Florida feel. There is plenty of parking for cars and a boat.
The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials for meals big and small. A Keurig and traditional coffee maker will be ready for you in the morning to start your day.
If you can’t totally get away from it all, the private office is perfect for conference calls, to check emails or close that big deal during your stay. The Hibiscus Hideaway offers a perfect atmosphere to work and play on Siesta Key.
The bedrooms include a king, queen and 2 twin beds. There is a dresser and closet in each room.
South Siesta Key is a boaters paradise. Launch your own boat at the nearby Turtle Beach ramp and conveniently store it during your stay in our large driveway. Or rent a boat just a mile away in the Turtle Beach area. Boats of all kinds are available: Pontoon, ski, fishing, jet skis. Enjoy the thrill of skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, fishing, or just relax and cruise around Sarasota Bay. Rent kayaks, paddle boards and canoes at Turtle Beach. Explore over 100 acres of protected intercostal waters and paddle trails. You may see dolphins, manatees, and many species of fish and tropical birds, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.

About the host: We have been married for 34 years, with 2 grown sons and currently live in NH. We eventually will spend 6 months in NH and 6 months in Siesta Key when we can retire. We love living near the NH lakes and the Gulf of Mexico, a combination that has been our goal forever.
Why this property? This is not a high volume turn over property. Instead it is a well cared for and comfortable home with all the amenities needed for a wonderful vacation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does south Siesta Key compare to the north end?
The south end of SK is much quieter, less crowded and more private. It has few tall buildings and has a classic old Florida vibe of mostly single family homes and lush tropical landscape. There is easy access to north SK via the free trolley and tip only rides that pick you up in front of the home.
