About this rental
Our condo is directly on the beach and is direct oceanfront (Gulf-front). Unfortunately, there are properties on this site that falsely claim to be beachfront / oceanfront. We encourage travelers to ask property owners to verify those claims.
When we travel over 1,000 miles to enjoy a beach vacation we're not interested in being steps from the beach, across from the beach, or having what is often euphemistically advertised as, “a view of the beach.” We want to be smack dab right on the beach and have a direct unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico.
In our opinion, it simply makes no sense to stop 1,000 or even 500 feet short of our destination. This is why, after an intense three-year search for what we consider to be the perfect location, we chose the closest condo building to the Gulf of Mexico on Siesta Key. With the wide-open floor plan, you will enjoy direct Gulf views from the master bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. This is beachfront at its best!
As you can see from the aerial photograph above, Fisherman's Cove is built on a very narrow strip of sand and sits directly on the beach. The Gulf of Mexico is approximately 125 feet from our lanai and master bedroom window, and the bay inlet is a similar distance from our east balcony and guest bedroom window.
This unique location gives us the best of both worlds - the beach and magnificent sunsets to the west, and sunrise across the bay to the east. We are so close to the Gulf of Mexico that some of our guests have said, “sitting on the lanai is like being on the lido deck of a cruise ship,” and virtually all our guests exclaim, "the pictures simply don't do it justice." Please note we rent Saturday to Saturday only.
The previous owners made it their first priority to perfect the 120 square foot lanai. They spared no expense when they decided to rip out the old and start fresh with 13 feet of floor to ceiling sliding glass panels across the western view of the gulf, and a large picture window facing the beach to the south.
To perfect the view they replaced the "picket fence" railing you'll see on other condos with a custom tempered glass rail. With the new design you enjoy the ambiance of a totally unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico.
Another frustration with the old design, which is also common with most condos, was it had a fixed screen that made it impossible to take good sunset pictures. Our new design uses sliding screens, which enables you to take great sunset pictures from the comfort of the lanai. You can see one of these sunset pictures above and on our dedicated website, which is linked below, there is a gallery dedicated to sunset and moon-set pictures.
Both of the bedrooms are large and easily accommodate king-size beds with night stands and outlets for charging smartphones on both sides. Both bedrooms also have large dressers and chests as well as large closets for storage.
To insure you fully enjoy this unique ambiance, we equipped both bedrooms with king-size Jamison pillow-top beds. Jamison is well-known as the supplier for the highly rated beds used in Marriott hotels, and the bed we selected is two notches up from the one Marriott uses.
The master suite has a private on-suite bath with a large tiled shower and a direct beachfront view of the Gulf of Mexico. With its 4' by 6’ sliding window, you will be lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the waves; the perfect prescription for relieving stress!
Your guests will enjoy a beautiful sunrise view with their large bay-front window. Your guests can also close off the guest wing of the condo so they have private access to their full bathroom that includes a tiled tub and shower combination.
For your convenience, your reserved parking space is straight across from the entrance where you will find an elevator and carts you can use to move things between your vehicle and your room.
For us, vacations have always been about creating memories, and taking time to unwind from the demands we face in the crazy world.
At the south end of Siesta Key you escape the traffic congestion and maddening crowds that are common on the northern end of the island. At the south end traffic moves smoothly along tree-lined streets and you won’t have to fight crowds to find a spot to sit on the beach. There are three good restaurants with indoor and alfresco seating within a short walk, and a dozen more within two miles, so you may decide there is no reason to venture beyond our little slice of paradise.
Also within a short walk is a full-service marina, a playground for kids, and secluded picnic area with a grill that is perfect for a sunset cookout. Our guests are also welcome to use the gas grills you’ll see by the bay and boat docks.
Kayak rental and tours are also within easy walking distance; as are boat rentals, Jet Ski rentals, fishing guides and other activities. If you rent a kayak for the week, you are welcome to use our kayak storage rack and custom designed kayak launch. If you decide to try kayaking, I’ll help you plan a route where you are likely to pull next to manatees, and see some of the wonderful birds that inhabit the mangrove islands close by.
If you bring your own boat, or rent one during your stay, you are welcome to use any of the boat docks at Fisherman's Cove free of charge.
The fishing is great from both our beach and the bay, and I can help improve your luck by pointing out some of my favorite spots. Snook, Sheephead, Ladyfish, Flounder, Cobia and various members of the Jack family are common, and if you stay with us midyear, don’t be surprised if you hook into a large Tarpon.
To help you plan your vacation and navigate like a local, we provide all of our guests with a comprehensive “Siesta Key Vacation Guide.” This includes all the information you’ll need to prepare, a condo owner’s manual, our personal reviews of over 30 great restaurants and information about virtually all the activities available in the Siesta Key area. These include many great activities for families with children.
Our Guide also includes a listing of fun things to do that are not covered in the tourist brochures. For example, did you know there is a nearby beach where you can readily find fossilized shark teeth that are five to fifteen million years old? Well, there is, but it's not the one you will read about in the travel books.
While we enjoy the sporting activities, sightseeing and night life, our favorite ritual is decidedly more laid back. For us, it's all about the view, the sound of the waves and the wide-open expanse of beach that stretches for miles.
The beach in front of our condo was "re-nourished" with fresh sand from the gulf during the spring of 2016, and is perfect for walking. If collecting seashells is on your agenda, you’ll appreciate the fact that our beach offers the best shelling in Siesta Key!
To our north you can walk for approximately a mile and a half before you come to the famed Point of Rocks. When you walk the beach to the south you'll pass by one small condo, about six private residences, and following that, you'll enjoy more than a mile of totally undeveloped beachfront. This is one of the few undeveloped areas you'll find on any of any of Florida's Gulf barrier islands - it's just you, the birds and fresh seashells that washed up during the night.
As you walk further south you’ll actually cross over to very exclusive Casey Key (connected to Siesta Key). The first house you'll come to on Casey Key is owned by world-famous author Stephen King. If you are up to it, you can continue south longer than your legs will probably take you.
Whether you are planning a romantic getaway or a family vacation, Fisherman's Cove is a great destination. If you are our guest for even just one week, you'll understand why they say, "If you're lucky enough to live on Siesta Key, you're lucky enough!"

Area Information
We are at the quiet end of Siesta Key. If you walk the beach to the south, you'll pass by one small condo and about six private residences before finding over a mile of totally undeveloped beachfront. You can continue south for longer than your legs will probably take you and actually walk directly onto Casey Key where you'll find houses that sell for $20 million or more. However, none of them have a better view than our condo.

About the owner: There are few things more relaxing than taking long walks at the water's edge. The sound of the waves and feel of sand between our toes washes away stress like nothing else.
We are at the quiet end of Siesta Key where shells and birds are abundant and you'll find over a mile of totally undeveloped beachfront a short walk to the south of our condo.
Why this property? Our condo is unique in that it is on a VERY narrow strip of sand. It sits directly on the beach with the Gulf of Mexico only 125 feet to the west and the bay inlet with boat docks a similar distance to the east.
The open floor plan provides direct and unobstructed Gulf views from the Lanai, Master Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room and even from the Kitchen. The Guest Bedroom has a direct view of the bay inlet.
You will enjoy spectacular views and the sound of the rolling surf.

Beautiful find! What a perfect spot we found on Siesta Key. While Siesta Key Beach is noted for its huge crowded beach, the beach at Fisherman's Cove on the lower end is every bit as beautiful without the crowds. If you are looking for a quiet, less frenzied beach on which to luxuriate, this is it. The condo is literally right on the beach. Lugging equipment (most everything you could need is in the condo) out with you is a breeze with the beach wagon provided by the Kruks. The condo itself is beautifully appointed, with everything you might need for your beach sojourn. Except for purchasing groceries off the Key, you could spend your vacation without getting in your car. Good restaurants are located within walking distance, and the free trolley takes you north to more great eating. There is no doubt in our minds that we have found a gem! Our return is already planned.

Me and my wife had a wonderful stay in 309a the view was absolutely fantastic and watching the sun set amazing the kruks are super nice People we had a switch to go bad on the ceiling fan above the bed the at night the next day it was fixed very comfortably bed and very clean and the restaurant was great to we really enjoyed our stay didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this place to stay for comfort and the view and the super clean great place to vacation

What a beautiful condo! This condo was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our weeklong beach stay. We had EVERYTHING we needed from beach towels, beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, a beach cart, coolers, a cute beach table for drinks, all the fishing equipment, sand sifters for hunting shark teeth, you name it! The condo was super clean and the view was perfect! Highly recommend this top floor unit.

We stayed at Fishermans Cove #309. The condo was very nice! Clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There were beach chairs, umbrella etc available for the beach. The pool was clean. We enjoyed the restaurant and shopping recommendations. We really enjoyed the Lanai to see the dolphins. The sunsets were amazing!

We had a wonderful stay last week in A309! The condo is beautifully furnished with amazing views in the master bedroom and the living room area. The beach had some issues during the first two days of our stay. But then got back to normal after s bad storm. The beach area is being replenished and should soon be s big improvement. The condo had everything you could want or need as a guest. I especially enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker with provided coffee pods. The condo is located in a wonderful location on Turtle Beach and is perfect if you want a quiet getaway. It is never crowded. Dina and Russ are perfect hosts! The best hosts thst I have ever dealt with. Always responded quickly and very communicative. You will want to download the super helpful guide that Dina provides prior to arrival She gave wonderful restaurant recommendations and we enjoyed all of her suggestions that were provided in the guide. I hope to return in the fall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in unit 309A at Fisherman's Cove. Loved having 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a washer/dryer in the unit. The view was awesome and it was great being able to walk right out onto the beach. We were able to enjoy gorgeous sunsets sitting on the lanai. Pretty close to town but secluded enough for privacy. The owners were very accommodating and we can't wait to go again next year!

Fishermans Cove is on the quiet south end of the island and a short walk to "Turtles on Little Sarasota Bay" restaurant ..excellent food and service moderately priced ...We would definitely stay there again....

We've been coming to Siesta Key for years and this condo far and away has the best gulf views! Loved the views and the ability to listen to the waves as we drifted off to sleep. Owners were great as condo had everything we needed (plus more) for our stay. We enjoy Turtles restaurant so it was nice to be within walking distance. Really appreciated the in condo washer and dryer. No qualms about renting again.

My family and I had a wonderful visit at your condo. The condo was nice and clean. Very refreshing. We all live in cold weather country so it was refreshing to have 80 degree temperatures. The owners do a nice job stocking the condo with a full keurig machine fill with varieties of coffee. We loved sitting out on the enclosed balcony listening to the ocean waves. Location was close to the nearby shopping stores and popular Siesta Keys beach. We took walks on the beach each morning. Getting out to run was very easy. The paths were just around the corner.

We loved our week in this condo! The beach is literally steps away and the views are amazing. The condo was spotless and very tastefully decorated. The owners were quick to respond with a question re: the washing machine. Prior to our stay, I had asked about a crockpot since we like to prepare most of our own meals. The condo didn't have one, but they purchased one for our use which was very appreciated! The heated pool was a nice amenity in November also. We spent so much time on the lanai; watching and listening to the waves. We are so in love with this condo and SK, we have already booked our next stay here in A309! The week I spent at Condo-309A was a true dream vacation for my daughter and I. It's beautifully furnished and has everything you need to cook or to enjoy the beach. The owners are very gracious. You can call them and they'll quickly reply back. This condo is close to the elevator and a few feet from the beach, and it's very clean. The views and sounds from the lanai are incredible, with a 360 degree ocean view. A little trolley takes you back and forth to town, if you don't want to drive. Also, don't forget to treat yourself to this wonderful restaurant "Ophelia". It has a nice view with great food and perfect service. It's only 5 minutes from the condo. I wish I could've stayed longer. For my next vacation, it will have to be for at least 2 weeks. Thank you Dina for your great hospitality.

Staying at fisherman's cove, 309A was the best condo we've ever stayed in. The location was quiet, no traffic, and literally you could hear the waves inside the condo! Our view was amazing, so close! This condo was perfect for our family to enjoy a week at the beach! The condo is very clean and updated beautifully, with a nice big washer and dryer, comfortable beds and stocked with everything you need for the beach (even kids items!). We have 3 small kids so we travel with a lot of items incase wherever we stay doesn’t have something we need. That was not the case here. Dina and Russ had it all, and it was all amazing quality, good stuff! There is an activity guide with everything you could possible want or need to know about Siesta Key. That was a major plus and so helpful! The location was perfect, being by the stairs/elevator and the walkway out to the beach. The ocean front view is gorgeous and listening to the waves at night through our open window was so relaxing. The beach wasn’t crowded and made it relaxing and easy to keep an eye on our kids while they played and we enjoyed chilling in the sun. We enjoyed shell hunting and found lots of pretty gems! The pool is also easy access and close. Our kids and all their cousins had a blast hanging out at the pool. It also never got to overly crowded which was nice. We will definitely come back and stay here again! You won’t be disappointed with this place! The owners are so nice, responsive, and helpful too! They left us a sweet welcome gift to use while there. My other family members who were also staying here in 3 other condos, wished their condo/owners were as amazing as ours! Thanks for a fabulous place and we look forward to coming back again!

Our family of 4 and my in laws just came back from staying in one of the 2 bedroom condos! We had a great time at the beach and had more than enough room for all of us! The condo is exactly as described and we didn’t have any issues! It was nice not to have to back our beach chairs, umbrella, toys, etc because all of that is in the room ready to be used! Overall great experience especially since the beach is way less crowded than siesta key, and can’t wait to come again next year!

With its beach like feeling inside and the beautiful view of the beach and hearing the waves from a nice size screened in porch There 2 nice size bedrooms with closets and 2 bathrooms were very nice ! It has a new washer dryer etc. The area is quiet and family oriented but not far from shops and restaurants!! Don’t miss out on this one !!!

Absolutely amazing place to stay! My husband and I watched the sun rise and the sunset every day and it was breathtaking. We loved that we could hear the ocean waves through the window in the mater suite. Beautiful scenery, laid back quiet beach which was really nice. The condo was delightful. Had everything we needed from beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, games, washer & dryer to all other accommodations that your own home would have. Bedrooms were gorgeous and Mattresses were extremely comfortable! We plan to book here again. The Lanai was something out of a fairytale. Everything that we wanted to do here such as parasailing, jet ski's, dolphin sunset tour, great restaurants and souvenir shops are literally 10-20 min from this Condo. Hard to put into words how wonderful our stay was. Only downfall is that it went to quickly. Wish we would have stayed longer!

Let me start with saying as we entered the condo it was late afternoon and the sun was setting directly in from of the condo and the view was so stunning I gasped out loud! How's that for a first impression! This was by far the nicest rental I've had in years coming to the Gulf Coast. I have never been to Siesta Key specifically and we really lucked out with this gem! The views are nothing short of perfection, the unit is very clean, very spacious, very quiet, we did not hear any noise from anywhere other than the crashing of the waves day and night. They had all the beach towels, beach chairs and other beach supplies that we needed as well. Honestly we thought we would be exploring most days during our week long stay but we were so comfortable we hardly left the property. The owners were terrific to book with and I look forward to spending time at Fisherman's Cove again someday!

Ubered to Publix for $12. 7 minute walk to bay front restaurant and to the trolley. Trolley to go shopping, other restaurants and Siesta Key beach. 1 of the very best rentals and vacations we have ever had.

WOW! Great condo right on the beach with THE best view of the sunset! We loved opening the sliding door and the screen to take in the amazing sunsets directly out front. It was perfect as my 91 year old mother in a wheelchair could sit on the lanai and watch the sunset with no screen in the way, a pleasant breeze flowing thru the condo, and the relaxing sounds of the lapping waves. The owners were very quick to reply and answer all questions. They updated the living room furniture including a crazy-comfortable swivelling recliner that you won't want to get out of, and they put in a new 70" round glass dining table that we were able to fit 7 people at for xmas eve dinner (4 dining chairs, 1 wheelchair, & 2 of our camping chairs). Amazingly, there was plenty of room for all seven to eat a fancy meal and play cards. We loved being right on the beach and the bay and found a 4 inch sand dollar during low tide along with several conch shells and a 4 inch whelk. The owners clearly pay attention to details and everything you could want is there including a full carousel of Keurig coffees and even a toothbrush holder and instructions on the light switches and shower controls. The only minor thing is that the fridge does not have an ice maker, but to accommodate for that, the ice bin was full of ice when we arrived along with 5 trays of ice cubes - plenty of ice for us to make frozen cocktails the first night, so no ice maker was not a big deal. Who cares when you can watch sensational sunsets and sip margaritas?! And kudos to Fisherman's Cove for putting up some pretty awesome Christmas lights all over! It was a Christmas we won't forget!

We've literally driven every road between Anna Maria and Marco Island that goes to the Gulf of Mexico and can attest that this is the closest condo to the Gulf. At the busy northern end of Siesta Key the condos sit so far back from the Gulf that you can't even hear the waves. At this condo, the large direct Gulf front window in the master suite enables you to sleep with a nice breeze and the sound of the waves.Personally, if we're going to travel a thousand or so miles to the beach, we certainly don't want to stop a block away or settle for anything less than direct oceanfront (Gulf front in this case). As a bonus, the price for this slice of paradise is less than the condos on the northern part of the island and you can enjoy the quiet of southern Siesta Key. Walk to the south only a third of a mile and you pass the last house on the island.As a bonus, the website - is amazing. Be sure to review the page, Exploring Beaches.

This condo was exactly what we needed. Immaculate cleaning, updated and efficient kitchen, and fabulous furnishings, made us feel very much at home. The living room furniture was bright, cheerful and comfortable. The screen porch was our favorite for meals, drinks and to admire the glorious sunsets. Bed was so very comfortable. Being able to walk down the stairs and be right on the beach was great! Very close to fabulous restaurants and shops, this condo will be a favorite of ours to return to every year.

Our stay here was lovely. We loved being able to just walk out onto the beach, and hear the waves at night. The views are amazing! The condo is very well equipped and we were very comfortable here. The owners have lots of extra's that we were able to use, including a skimboard, fishing gear and beach chairs. This end of the key is less hectic and more relaxing. We would stay here again!

First of all, I want to say that dealing with Paul, the owner, was the best experience I have ever had interacting with a vacation renter. The beach was not crowded, and those who were there as well were friendly. Most of the time we practically had the beach to ourselves. The water is warm and clear. I highly recommend anyone books this rental to experience a truly perfect getaway.

We stayed at Fishermans Cove unit 309 during the last week in August. The unit was just as described & suited us just fine. Just a few steps & we were on the beach! We lucked out & had beautiful weather the entire week. The only recommendations I would suggest to the owner would be to add more lighting in the bedrooms & especially the kitchen! I also was a little disappointed that the Turtle beach area did not have the beautiful powder white sand as did Cresent & Siesta beach but it did have a lot more shells! If you are looking to get away from the crowds, this would be a perfect spot - very relaxing vacation and the owner was very accommodating in giving us references as to where the best places were to eat, drink & just make the best of our vacation.

I can’t say enough about how much we liked this condo and the wonderful beach access and views. I am from Ohio and have been booking Spring trips to Florida with my two daughters for many years. Now I have just rebooked for another wonderful stay at this condo in April 2020. This time it will be my daughter and granddaughter as we start s new tradition of taking her to the beach every year like we did my daughters Of all the many places we have stayed over the years I have never enjoyed a stay anywhere that beats this condo and the views. The owner could not be more helpful and also provides s great guide to help with planning your days. The interior of the condo is also beautiful with nice linens and comfortable beds. There is nothing like drifting off to sleep here with the gentle sounds of the surf in the background. We never used the A/C when we stayed because of the great breezes. Truly nirvana!

Dave S.Best Rental on the Gulf Near Sarasota—Fisherman’s Cove
We have stayed at several rentals on the Gulf in the Sarasota area and this is by far the best. This includes visits to Venice Beach, Lido Beach and other Siesta Key properties. Fisherman's Cove is located on the quiet, south end of Siesta Key, which has very little traffic even during peak-season. The third-floor location of the property provides an incredible view of the Gulf, beautiful sunsets, and large beach where you can walk for miles. Water's edge is only 150 feet from our building. We spent a lot of time people-watching from the lanai; swimmers, sun bathers, shell-gatherers, and fisherman. I caught several fish in front of the property during our recent stay. You can walk to a kayak rental and paddle for miles on the inter-coastal behind our building. The heated pool is nice when it is windy on the beach. Owners Paul and Sherri recently redecorated their spacious two-bedroom condo, which has everything needed for your visit. Before you arrive they will provide a detailed document that answers all your questions including the best restaurants and local attractions. Paul is very friendly and quick to respond. He and the full-time staff at Fisherman's Cove are available if you have questions or need assistance. There are many restaurants nearby; two within short walking distance. A large mall with a Publix supermarket is only four miles away. We have already made a reservation for next year, which will be our firth time renting this property. If you are looking for the best rental on the Gulf near Sarasota, this is it.

Nice appartment, right on the beach and very quiet. Unfortunately the parking lot was been worked on and it was loud and smelly for a few days. Then a water pipe broke and the complex was out of water for almost a day, after that we had to boil water. Then the pest control sprayed the building. All those things were not so pleasant.

We found this condo while doing a search for somewhere quiet and relaxing; away from the hustle bustle of the commercialized areas. We were not disappointed. The unit was a mirror image of the photos shown in the listing and was in pristine condition when we arrived. Prior to our trip, Paul sent us a welcome package which included 42 wonderful pages of any and all information you would ever need pertaining to the unit, the area, shopping, dining, etc. We found it quite helpful and referred to it often during our stay. The condo was well equipped with the essentials, appliances and linens but also included many extras such as Tommy Bahama chair, umbrellas, beach toys, etc. That in itself is such a convenience! We will definitely choose this beachfront unit the next time we make Siesta Key our destination! Thanks to Paul for his attention to detail and follow ups, ensuring the best stay possible!

This vacation rental was over and beyond! The location and views are amazing, and the comfortableness and relaxation vibe of this 2bed/2bath condo made us feel so much like we were at home! Rental is FULLY EQUIPPED with any and everything you can think of. Plenty of activities and games provided for families to do, chairs and fishing poles available for the beach lovers, and a nice heated outdoor pool. The beds and pillows were so so so comfy. Chefs will love the fact that the kitchen is fully equipped with any and every utensil, pot and pan you could think of! First, let me say that the photos posted on the website do not do the condo justice. In reality, we couldn’t have found a more beautiful and secluded beachfront condo along Siesta Key. There were several days that we could literally count on one hand the number of families on the beach, giving the sense that we had the entire ocean to ourselves.We ventured to Siesta Key Beach, which was packed with tourists drinking heavily and blasting music. The sand was finer and white on Siesta Key Beach, but rest assured that the condo’s location boasts the same EXACT water clarity that can be found on Siesta Key Beach. In fact, the water clarity is very similar to what can be found in the Destin area.The cleanliness of the condo was superb when we arrived, and the beds were very comfortable. The number of turtle nests on our beach were many, as well as to the more secluded area to our south, which we were actually lucky enough to see baby turtles emerge from their sand nest and venture off into the sea!The condo is just a few minutes drive to Siesta Key Village, where many delicious restaurants await. Fisherman’s Cove also has four outdoor gas grills which were very clean and reliable. We have traveled to many condo and rental home locations for vacations in Destin, Pensacola, Daytona Beach, Key West, Savannah, Gulf Shores, Anna Marie Island, and Miami. Without any question, we have found the PERFECT condo!!!

MattIncredible Condo on the Beach
My wife and our 2 children just got back from spending a week in Siesta Key. We were more than excited to be staying a week right in the condo right on the beach. We couldnt have asked for a better time as we were able to catch some waves, snorkel, collect shells (pretty sure my youngest son brought back enough to fill a small beach). The views from the condo are incredible. We spent many nights getting our dinner to go so we could enjoy on our private balcony and catching the sunset. The restaraunts close by are delicious and we cant stop raving about the breakfast at the 'Toasted Mango'. We are already planning to head back and will definitley be contacting Paul for another week (or 2) in his condo.

WOW! The condo was perfect with everything you need and want at your finger tips. Mr. McWilliams and Fishermans Cove were fantastic. Mr. McWilliams should be a travel guide with all his recommendations and information given. The condo's location was great and the accommodations were perfectly appointed. Beds were very comfortable. Siesta Key is a great vacation spot. The beach is steps away and not crowded at all. We already recommended the condo to others. You will not be disappointed!

We just returned from a wonderful relaxing week's stay at this condo in Fisherman's Cove. We have been to many beach locations in Florida and around the country and this by far was our favorite condo for beach viewing, relaxing on the lanai, and seeing an amazing sunset every single night. Each sunset seemed more beautiful than the last. The condo is beautiful, comfortable and has a very beachy decor with lovely original art work. We loved that it was on the third floor corner because of the great front and side views. The beach and pool were remarkably never crowded at this location. My four year old granddaughter loved the very nice heated pool as well as collecting shells on the beach. There were sand toys in the condo closet and she put them to very good use. It seems like a very family friendly place-- there were a few playmates in the pool her age almost every day. There is a great shaded play ground a short walk away and Isabella also loved it there. The owner, Paul, could not have been more helpful before , during or after our stay. The comprehensive (35 pages!) guide he sent for the area before our stay was immensely helpful. My daughter and son-in-law enjoyed so many of his recommendations that they discovered from his guide. I can not say enough wonderful things that this vacation rental and location had to offer. We definitely will be returning!

Excellent host for our stay in the very roomy condo. The views were outstanding from the gulf side and the bay side. We had sunrises from the bay and sunsets from the gulf. We had everything we needed for our week long stay. Paul had sent a very helpful list of restaurants (with reviews), places to check out and many things to do while we were there. We referred to it as “Paul’s Bible” since he was so detailed. He doesn’t want you to miss out on anything. If you have any issues he is quick to respond. We look forward to returning again.

Dave S.Best Gulf Shore Accommodations in the Sarasota Area
We have stayed at several rentals on the Gulf in the Sarasota area and this is by far the best. This includes visits to Venice Beach, Lido Beach and other Siesta Key properties. Fisherman's Cove is located on the quiet, south end of Siesta Key, which has very little traffic even during peak-season. The third-floor location of the property provides an incredible view of the Gulf, beautiful sunsets, and large beach where you can walk for miles. Water's edge is only 150 feet from our building. We spent a lot of time people-watching from the lanai; swimmers, sun bathers, shell-gatherers, and fisherman. I caught 15 fish (6 species) in front of the property during our recent stay. You can walk to a kayak rental and paddle for miles on the inter-coastal behind our building. The heated pool is nice when it is windy on the beach. Owners Paul and Sherri recently redecorated their spacious two-bedroom condo, which has everything needed for your visit. Before you arrive they will provide a detailed document that answers all your questions including the best restaurants and local attractions. Paul is very friendly and quick to respond. He and the full-time staff at Fisherman's Cove are available if you have questions or need assistance. There are many restaurants nearby; two within short walking distance. A large mall with a Publix supermarket is only four miles away. We have already made a reservation for next year, which will be our third time renting this property. If you are looking for the best rental on the Gulf near Sarasota, this is it.
