The Rattlesnake Festival has drawn thousands each year for a weekend of Florida fun. Though it has undergone many changes, the festival continues to fulfill the original purposes to entertain and to give to the community. The festival has something for everyone, from live snake and reptile shows to wooden gopher turtle races, hundreds of craft booths, childrens activities, live entertainment, the fivemile Rattlesnake Run as well as a variety of foods and refreshments.

Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival (Micanopy)

Micanopy Florida is a scenic location for a fall arts and crafts festival.   Micanopy is the town that time forgot.  This quiet little town bustles with activity as the vendors pour into town and fill Cholokka Boulevard.  Many local artists, crafters, and musicians participate in the festival, as well as other artists from across the southeast. The tradition and ever evolving quality of the show attracts a broad range of the buying public.  Along with the two hundred displays of arts and  crafts there are many other attractions.  The main stage plays host to a  variety of good time music throughout the festival and an old time  auction of items donated by participating vendors on Saturday afternoon.

Florida Seafood Festival (Apalachicola)

The Florida Seafood Festival is a two day event annually drawing tens of thousands of visitors to the historic town of Apalachicola in scenic Franklin County. The Festival is held at the mouth of the Apalachicola river under the shady oaks of Apalachicola’s Battery Park.

The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events, Musical Entertainment. This was a field trip that I attended with my daughter and we had a fabulous time! The people here were absolutely amazing, with the most incredible environment for children. They had so many activities for us to enjoy, complete with a Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch’s, Flower Gardens, farm animals, cool places to take pictures… I honestly could keep going! They have an amazingly incredible amount of activities that impressed me beyond belief ! We had a blast! It is an absolute THRILL to know that we have something this spectacular that is available for us and our families to enjoy in our community! I will go back again and again every year to this farm! Long and Scott Farms (Mount Dora)

Here at Long and Scott Farms, located in beautiful Lake County, Florida, you will love the old-time fun of shopping at their Farmer’s Market, especially for our Kirby Pickling Cucumbers and Scott’s Zellwood Triple-Sweet Gourmet Corn and other fresh and local produce, jams and jellies, honey, sauces and various other products.
