Breakfast is one of my favorite meals.  It is so versatile, the food can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner, making it a great way to start or even end your day!  And brunch, well that is unbeatable in my opinion.  Before you start your beach day while vacationing in Florida these 12 local breakfast spots are the places to check out!  We picked them based on menu options, our own reviews and reviews of others and by their overall delicious quality ingredients. 

These 12 restaurants will satisfy any craving, whether you have a sweet tooth or are looking for something more traditional.  They are worth waking up early for and are not to be missed!

Metro Diner (Multiple Locations)

Metro Diner offers a classic diner feel with all the yummy diner style food you can imagine.  They have all the traditional breakfast items covered and everything is homemade to order.  You can’t go wrong stopping by one of their many locations.

Keke’s Breakfast Cafe (Multiple Locations)

Keke’s is a local favorite with a low key comfortable set up and delicious comfort food made fresh daily.  They only serve food sourced with top notch ingredients.  They have multiple locations but each one feels more like a mom and pop shop.  

“Excellent breakfast in a great relaxing atmosphere. We had 7 in our group and the service and food was excellent.  I highly recommend the Granola Waffle, Ham, Home Fries and Egg Omelettes. 11th Street Diner (Miami Beach)

11th Street has been around for over two decades serving up delicious breakfasts.  They also have diner style lunch options.  This place has been around for as long as it has been for a reason, the food is fantastic and fresh.  Their signature milkshakes are also a classic you must try! 

“This place is everything a good diner should be. Their menu is phenomenal. You have a hard time deciding what to eat. Everything is so good. Try one of their adult milkshakes! They are so awesome. The service here is great! The waiters are very nice. Everything is clean. All food in the diner has it’s own unique taste. I tried their shrimp & grits. I had never eaten them before. They cook the shrimp with bacon. They put the shrimp in the grits which has melted chunks of Gouda cheese in them. Absolutely amazing! Pepe’s Cafe (Key West)

Pepe’s has been around for over a century!  This place is an iconic classic breakfast spot in Key West.  Check it out not only for the fantastic food, but also for a little piece of history while on vacation!

A not-too-fancy neighborhood restaurant that offers a variety of simple, delicious food. Trip’s serves breakfast all day, plus salads, sandwiches, meatloaf, pasta, chicken and more.

Native Cafe (Pensacola Beach)

Locally owned and operated Native Cafe is in fact native! This place is frequented by locals and tourists alike to sample their delicious homestyle breakfast and lunch.  It is definitely a great place to stop by for a casual breakfast before the beach or mid-day when you need a food break from the sun!

Andy’s Flour Power (Panama City Beach)

Located in the center of Thomas Drive, a stone’s throw from the Naval Training Base and just a few minutes from the shores of the Emerald Coast!  Locally owned.  Homemade, fresh ingredients always.

Dixie Cream Cafe (Windermere)

Dixie Cafe has been around for over a decade. They offer breakfast and lunch in an eccentric 50s inspired atmosphere.  There is artwork to be seen, delicious food to be eaten, this place is an experience! 

“I had the Fried green tomatoes eggs Benedict. It was delicious. My husband also had the biscuits and gravy and honestly that is some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had down here in Florida. Super great atmosphere. Love how the staff seems to know each other and works together. Le Cafe de Paris (Orlando)

Le Cafe de Paris is a French-American Cafe established in 2007.  Open for dine-in and take out 7 days a week.

Grumpy’s unites Southern and American cooking in a delicious adventure for your tastebuds!  This restaurant has won awards for it’s unbelievable diner style comfort food.  They have been around for decades and people keep coming back for more because the food is that good!  They offer fresh homemade breakfasts and many lunch options.  Whether you are visiting or a local Grumpy’s is not to be missed!
