The Cottages are less than two blocks to Pompano’s safe, family-friendly oceanfront. The exciting Renaissance here in recent years has included more than $200M in public and private investments to beautiful new infrastructure, public artwork, iconic new restaurants and many free public amenities. It’s a short walk to dozens of restaurants, shops, music and cultural venues, dive boats, new fishing pier and spectacular new oceanfront park promenade.

The smoke-free ISLE Casino, next door to Pompano Harness Track, is a 15-minute drive. I-95 is a 10-minute drive for easy access to all South Florida business centers, shopping and attractions.

Above rates are for a studio apartment. The "monthly" rate is 4 WEEKS/28 DAYS. Please inquire about rates for the 1/1. Rates for holidays and special events may be higher.
Payment Terms:
A 50% deposit of the rent, exit cleaning fee and taxes is due upon signing the lease. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. A $500 security deposit is due prior to arrival, and is posted on a guest’s credit card as a temporary hold on the funds and NOT a charge to the card.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation, the Guest is responsible for paying the full amount of rent for the contracted lease. The Landlord will refund monies realized from re-renting the unit during all or part of the same rental period, after deduction of the $300 administration fee and 20% of each new rental fee collected to cover commissions. Travel insurance is recommended to protect your investment in the event you need to cancel.

About the owner: Proprietor Elaine Fitzgerald was a TV news reporter for 15 years, then owned and operated a PR firm in South Florida. Today she is a hotelier, with five top-rated boutique properties by the beach. Elaine loves greeting her guests in person and ensuring that they have a great and memorable stay. She and her staff always go the extra mile for your safety and comfort.
Elaine is professional, educated, raised with manners, active, healthy non-smoker and believes in always treating others with kindness and respect. Her hobbies are photography, travel and dancing (ballroom, Latin, Argentine Tango, Country, Swing and Hustle).
Elaine is active in her community and serves on the Pompano Beach Economic Development Council, the city's Tourism Strategic Planning Team, and is the Tourism Chair of the greater Pompano Beach Chamber. She helped with the new logo and branding of the City, and teaches annually for Leadership North Broward.
Among her awards, Elaine was named 2009 Small Business Person of the Year by the Pompano Chamber. In 2005, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber honored her with a Circle of Excellence award. The Association for Women in Communications named Elaine 2004 Woman of the Year for South Florida Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing firms. She is a past president of the South Florida chapters of both the Public Relations Society of America and the Association of Women in Communications.

These are great alternatives to hotels and condos. They are equipped with all you will need for a short or long stay. They also have a grill and screened-in patio—only two blocks off the beach. I would highly recommend these for your next stay in the area.

Not only are we a 2-minute walk to the beach, but we are in the very heart of the walkable beach area. Close to so many restaurants, live music, fishing pier and dive boats. And for older or very young folks, Pompano has a new and growing free ride service using covered, 6-passenger golf carts to get you up and down the beach, or across the Intracoastal to Publix supermarket.

There are about 30 restaurants you can walk to within a 5 - 15 minute walk, or you can take the free shuttle anywhere up and down the beach or across the Intracoastal Waterway bridge to the supermarket and more restaurants. Upon walking into the cottage, we walked through the beautiful entrance into the whole cottage community. The greenery and flowering plants added to the beauty of our stay. We walked into the beautiful blue and white beach atmosphere and smelled cleanliness, which meant a lot to me. After going through COVID for two years, having a clean environment means more now than ever and Chrissy did the best job! We enjoyed staying so much that we were able to extend our stay upon request. Best price around with a high quality experience!

I've always wanted to stay here and finally got to! It's as quaint and cute as the pics, but even better in person. The property is clean and well-kept. The cottage had everything we needed and we loved hanging out on the porch. Short walk to the beach which is great. You don't have to worry about parking. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. Our quiet complex is in a very walkable area, close to as many restaurants and activities as you'd like. Do you know that there is a new, free ride service up and down the beach, and across the bridge to Publix supermarket? It works like Uber on your phone, but you don't have to pay anything. Golf carts pick you up!

We both need to get away from a host of family commitments that we’re taking up a lot of our energy. We happened across the Cottages by the Ocean and it just seemed to be the best pick. Everything is close by, restaurants, shops, a great beach and a cozy cottage if you just needed to kick back. The location is great. The beds are super cozy. The kitchen is super convenient. Lovely porches to sit an listen to the crickets at night. The 4 starts is only because the bathrooms are small. But otherwise the place is simply lovely.

They have authentic charm, modern amenities, and are roomy with all of the comforts of home; but you are right that the bathrooms are small. Unfortunately we cannot alter the architecture...but ohhhhh....all of the other redeeming factors!!! We would love to see you back again!

Close to the beach within 5 minutes walking. Felt like home staying in the cottage. Hymie (maintenance manager) was there in 10 minutes to help with a problem we had operating the television. The cottage had everything you might need for your stay. More than enough towels, beach equipment and everything you would need in the kitchen. This was our second stay and will go back.

Located just walking distance from the beautiful Pompano Beach, my lovely cottage was the perfect oasis of peace for me to do a mini retreat. It was quiet, surrounded with lovely plants and greenery and had all that I needed. Although it is not luxury, this old Florida style venue has the basics such as a full kitchen (no dishwasher). I was welcomed by owner Elaine Fitzgerald who saw to my every need. Each morning, I walked a short distance to the gorgeous Pompano Beach with its wide beach and white sands. Swimming in the ocean at sunrise was heaven. If I walked a short distance, I was at the Pompano Beach Pier and amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay,

Marcy A.Delightful cottage, with everything there, very close to beach
We spent 3 very comfortable days there. Whatever equipment we wanted was there for us. Besides the usual coffeemaker and toaster, there were 2 backpack chairs, beach towels, dish soap, tissues, outdoor shower, etc. We were greeted by Elaine, the owner, who had good info about places in the area, directions and info about the cottage and our own comfortable screened room to enjoy. She was warm and welcoming. The bed was good and even the pillows. I will tell others about “cottages at the ocean” because it is a treasure, very close to beautiful ocean beaches and we had a great mini vacation.

My son and I visited Pompano Beach for the first time and were looking for a reasonably priced spot that was walking distance to the beach and this cottage was perfect ! Minutes walk from the beach, and also from restaurants. Elaine greeted us upon arrival, and was a wealth of information as far as the area, restaurants, excursions to try, etc. I would normally spend hours researching and picking just the right places, and her knowledge eliminated the need for me to spend so much time doing that. We had a short 3 night stay and am looking forward to bringing family back. The cottage itself was quaint, quiet, and clean. Safe area. The cottage had exactly what we needed for our stay. Beautiful grounds and benches to enjoy sitting outside in a park like setting. Highly recommend !

The property is located within easy walking distance of the beach, the pier and boardwalk, and many restaurants. The cottage was very clean and we experienced no problems during our 2 week stay. Everything you need for the beach is provided to you. The neighborhood is safe and very walkable. The property itself is beautifully landscaped. The owner met us on the first day and gave us a short tour of Pompano to familiarize ourselves with the area. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Cottages by the Sea Mid February till end of March 2020. The place was well taken care of and we enjoyed our time there. Wonderful owner who meets each guest when they check in. Cottages are close to everything you need and all within walking distance. 2 blocks to beach, restaurants, bars, brewing company, shopping and grocery store. Highly recommend.
