Payment Terms:
A 50% deposit of the rent, exit cleaning fee and taxes is due upon signing the lease. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. A $500 security deposit is due prior to arrival, and is posted on a guest’s credit card as a temporary hold on the funds and NOT a charge to the card.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation, the Guest is responsible for paying the full amount of rent for the contracted lease. The Landlord will refund monies realized from re-renting the unit during all or part of the same rental period, after deduction of the $300 administration fee and 20% of each new rental fee collected to cover commissions. Travel insurance is recommended to protect your investment in the event you need to cancel.

We stayed in Unit 1, that had a King bed and a Sleeper Sofa. We only used the King bed. It's a little soft, but we slept well. The nights were quite. During the day there was some construction noise, due to a new apartment complex being build. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of towels, and enough kitchen equipment to cook smaller dishes. There is a regular coffee maker and a toaster. We really enjoyed the closeness to the beach and used the chairs and umbrella that were provided. Also the supermarket is close enough to walk to. All in all we had a good stay and would come again.

This is my second stay at Cottages by the Ocean. Can't beat the location, 2 blocks from the beach. This unit is so beautifully appointed! The enclave of cottages is nestled amid beautiful tropical foliage and very, very quiet, which I love. Being an apartment dweller, having my own little cottage with no one above me or below was heaven. I'm glad I found the Pompano Aquatic Center, which is a short Uber ride away, the pool is awesome and a nice switch from navigating the ocean surf. Elaine is a super host, very available to help out if needed. We will be coming back for sure!

What a lovely place to stay just steps from the beach. Quiet, comfortable, cozy and relaxing stay. Nice patio area to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Laundry facilities included. Everything you need in the kitchen is supplied for you. Staff very friendly and helpful. Elaine did a super job of things to do in the area and places to eat. Highly recommend.

Quiet, clean, close to beach (not too crowded, even on weekends), restaurants and Publix. All needed amenities available. Parking space a few steps from the cottage. Having one of the units for yourself offers a level of privacy higher than in the usual hotel/motel.

These are great alternatives to hotels and condos. They are equipped with all you will need for a short or long stay. They also have a grill and screened-in patio—only two blocks off the beach. I would highly recommend these for your next stay in the area.

Upon walking into the cottage, we walked through the beautiful entrance into the whole cottage community. The greenery and flowering plants added to the beauty of our stay. We walked into the beautiful blue and white beach atmosphere and smelled cleanliness, which meant a lot to me. After going through COVID for two years, having a clean environment means more now than ever and Chrissy did the best job! We enjoyed staying so much that we were able to extend our stay upon request. Best price around with a high quality experience!

The location is great. The beds are super cozy. The kitchen is super convenient. Lovely porches to sit an listen to the crickets at night. The 4 starts is only because the bathrooms are small. But otherwise the place is simply lovely.

Close to the beach within 5 minutes walking. Felt like home staying in the cottage. Hymie (maintenance manager) was there in 10 minutes to help with a problem we had operating the television. The cottage had everything you might need for your stay. More than enough towels, beach equipment and everything you would need in the kitchen. This was our second stay and will go back.

Located just walking distance from the beautiful Pompano Beach, my lovely cottage was the perfect oasis of peace for me to do a mini retreat. It was quiet, surrounded with lovely plants and greenery and had all that I needed. Although it is not luxury, this old Florida style venue has the basics such as a full kitchen (no dishwasher). I was welcomed by owner Elaine Fitzgerald who saw to my every need. Each morning, I walked a short distance to the gorgeous Pompano Beach with its wide beach and white sands. Swimming in the ocean at sunrise was heaven. If I walked a short distance, I was at the Pompano Beach Pier and amenities. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay,

We spent 3 very comfortable days there. Whatever equipment we wanted was there for us. Besides the usual coffeemaker and toaster, there were 2 backpack chairs, beach towels, dish soap, tissues, outdoor shower, etc. We were greeted by Elaine, the owner, who had good info about places in the area, directions and info about the cottage and our own comfortable screened room to enjoy. She was warm and welcoming. The bed was good and even the pillows. I will tell others about “cottages at the ocean” because it is a treasure, very close to beautiful ocean beaches and we had a great mini vacation.

My son and I visited Pompano Beach for the first time and were looking for a reasonably priced spot that was walking distance to the beach and this cottage was perfect ! Minutes walk from the beach, and also from restaurants. Elaine greeted us upon arrival, and was a wealth of information as far as the area, restaurants, excursions to try, etc. I would normally spend hours researching and picking just the right places, and her knowledge eliminated the need for me to spend so much time doing that. We had a short 3 night stay and am looking forward to bringing family back. The cottage itself was quaint, quiet, and clean. Safe area. The cottage had exactly what we needed for our stay. Beautiful grounds and benches to enjoy sitting outside in a park like setting. Highly recommend !

The property is located within easy walking distance of the beach, the pier and boardwalk, and many restaurants. The cottage was very clean and we experienced no problems during our 2 week stay. Everything you need for the beach is provided to you. The neighborhood is safe and very walkable. The property itself is beautifully landscaped. The owner met us on the first day and gave us a short tour of Pompano to familiarize ourselves with the area. We would definitely stay again.
