Area Information

Centrally located between Port Canaveral, approx. one mile, and Cocoa Beach Pier, approx. one mile. Bike paths to both the port and the pier. Great area for walking or biking. There are two great parks on the Indian River Lagoon, Manatee Sanctuary Park and Banana River Park, great spot for watching the sunset. There are many free beaches between from the Jetty at Port Canaveral to the Pier in Cocoa Beach. Jetty Park is a Florida State Park and is a great place to watch the launches and ships entering and exiting the port. It is also a campground and beach with lifeguards and chair/umbrella rentals. Fee for cars entering the park but walkers and bicyclists are free. The Port has numerous outstanding restaurants with both indoor and outdoor seating. You can watch the ships go in and out, watch a rocket launch, or just enjoy the scenery and entertainment. Less crowds and traffic here versus Cocoa Beach and other beach cities along the coast. The area has great eateries which you can drive or walk to and so many things to see in this area.
