Pomelo Place is centrally located - 20 minutes to Tampa, the Airport and Clearwater Beach, 10 minutes to Dunedin and 1 mile to Safety Harbor. This family vacation house offers 2 master suites and a POOL! With 2 additional queen bedrooms and one room with bunk beds, you can stay comfortably with up to 10 people for family vacations and friends' getaways.
A perfect place to come home to after you visit the nearby beaches, catch an MLB spring training game, kayak or dine and shop in Safety Harbor.
Pool and Outside Area:
The pool is located in a fully fenced rear yard. Wicker loungers and a sofa are perfect for morning coffee or evening wine outside by the pool.
There is also a propane grill available for you to use. Make sure to snap a selfie with our alligator mural, painted by a local artist and tag us on social media at Pomelo Place.

There is a large parking pad and a circle drive in front of the house accommodating a total of four cars.
House:
This newly remodeled home is light and bright and welcoming without being busy or fussy. The single story, open floor plan is designed for spending time together and unwinding after a busy day enjoying what the area has to offer. There is WiFi available in the home.
Dining:
You can seat up to ten people at the dining table inside and up to six at the dining table outside. There are plenty of plates, utensils, serving dishes, etc. to serve everyone at your table.
Living Room:
The living room houses the one and only TV in the house. With a comfortable sofa, love seat and ottoman you can settle in and watch the local stations on the cable provided or log in to your own streaming apps using the smart TV to watch whatever you want.
There is an assortment of games and puzzles available for you to use during your stay under the TV in the cabinet. There is also an awesome pool table to enjoy!
Kitchen:
The fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and an assortment of appliances is made for cooking for a group and completely open to the living area so you can still be part of the fun. There is a coffee and tea station in an adjacent antique desk cabinet.
The laundry room with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board is located off the kitchen.
Bedrooms:
There are TWO master suites - each has a king bed and a private bath en-suite (one has a walk in shower and one has a bath shower combo). Both masters have private access to the pool deck as well.
The other three bedrooms share a full bath with a tub shower combo. Two rooms have queen beds and one room, has bunk beds totaling two twins.
You will be a three minute walk from beautiful waterfront Philippe Park on Tampa Bay which offers a huge variety of activities. There are two playgrounds, open fields, picnic areas, boat access ramp, kayak/canoe rentals, an historic archaeology dig, biking/walking trail and more.
Downtown Safety Harbor (Main Street) is less than a mile away. You can walk there safely on sidewalks or grab an UBER and be there in two minutes to enjoy the restaurants, shopping, spa, harbor, local parades, festivals and events.
Special Note: Pool is heated (in accordance with #24 of the home rules published on this site and in your rental agreement) during winter in an attempt to maintain 80-85 degrees, however, pool temps will fluctuate during winter depending on strength and frequency of cold fronts. We do not guarantee any temperature at any time. In winter time, supplemental heating is available for $250.00 per week which involves running the pump and heater for up to 16 hours per day as opposed to the normal 10. We cannot guarantee what temperature will be achieved as it is dependent on the outside temperature. Similarly, pool will often reach over 90 degrees in summer naturally. Guests should consider the forecast in their decision both prior to arrival and during your stay. On occasion during winter this pool may not be comfortable for swimming due to its large size. Please contact us to request supplemental heating. Contact us with any questions or clarifications.
Safety Harbor is also the home of the Phillies Spring Training facility. During the Spring months, you can watch MLB spring training games less than ten minutes away. Other MLB Spring Training campuses nearby for the Blue Jays, Yankees, etc.
There are too many beaches nearby to list all but some of the acclaimed FL gulf beaches nearby include Clearwater Beach (20 minutes away), Honeymoon Beach (20 minutes away) and St. Pete's Beach (40 minutes away). The house is stocked with some beach essentials for you use - some folding chairs, a cooler, beach bag, etc.
Tampa Bay International is about 20 minutes away and the city of Tampa is about 25 minutes away, if you want to get more of a big city experience or see a game.

Die Küche ist sehr professionell eingerichtet, es gibt Koch- und Küchengeräte für alles, was man kochen kann. Es gibt sogar mehrere Möglichkeiten, sich Kaffee zuzubereiten. The home was located just minutes away from a beautiful park, Tampa Downs and downtown Safety Harbor. The home was clean, spacious and the pool and backyard were the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the weather. An added bonus was the pol table that allowed for some friendly competition. We highly recommend this home for the reasons above and the owners were wonderful to work with and extremely responsive.

We had a wonderful fun filled week in Florida the house was great, we especially loved the pool. The house is beautiful and spacious, a well stocked kitchen we enjoyed cooking together, I would highly recommend and hope our families can return again someday. If you are in the area we highly recommend going to a baseball game all stadiums should be air conditioned in the south it was amazing!!

Our vacation started off rocky - 4 flight delays, one cancellation, an overnight 8 hour layover and a dead rental car battery, but the house was everything we wanted and more. We were there for the Phillies Spring Training and we picked the perfect place to stay. The house wasn't far from the stadium. It was in the middle of everything. There were amazing places to eat and do touristy things and the pool was great for days when we just stayed in.Oh! And don't miss Phillipe Park - a short walk away. The dolphins come out to play in the bay every night. If you stand on the sea wall they swim right past you. It was a pleasant surprise.

Our trip started out a little bumpy: 4 airline delays, one flight cancelation, an 8 hour overnight layover in Charlotte North Carolina, a dead rental car battery, but this house was an awesome place to finally land. We went down for the Phillies Spring Training and this house was in an amazing spot for this. We were maybe 15 minutes from the ball field. The pool was great for days when we didn't have game tickets.We were in the middle of everything and the restaurants around us were amazing. Oh! And you have to check out Phillipe Park (a short walk from the house) Two dolphins came out to play in the bay at the park every night. If you stand on the sea wall, they would swim past really close. It was a surprise highlight of the trip!

We are so happy with our stay at this house. Plenty of room for everyone and we so appreciated a spot to gather as a family after our mother’s home-going celebration.The house itself is so pretty and beautifully decorated. The A/C in the master bedroom was a bit noisy, but it acted as “white noise” for me. the bed was super comfortable. We loved using the pool at night for a relaxing swim after a busy day.Thank you for your gracious hospitality. It made a difficult time in the lives of this family a lot more comfortable!

We couldn't have been happier with our vacation. All our children and grandchildren came from Ohio to enjoy Safety Harbor. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect. The pool was the favorite of everyone, no need to go elsewhere to swim. We enjoyed family time, to few and far between. We enjoyed the restaurants and festivities of Safety Harbor. We will book again!

I booked this location for my niece‘s October wedding and the house was a great find, it had all of the bedrooms that we needed for the large family that was staying there from out of town. The pool was very nice and even though we just had gotten over the hurricane the pool man came within two days of our arrival to clean it. The kitchen was stocked very well and everything was nice and clean. The only complaint we had was in the master bedroom the air conditioning unit was kicking on all night long and it was very loud so that was a bit of a concern but other than that we had a wonderful stay.

Visited this home in July 2022. We were two families.It was VERY clean. The pool was great! Kitchen completely stocked for anything you may need to cook with. Plenty of beach and pool towels. Beds were all comfortable. A quick 2 minute drive into town where you can park, shop and have plenty of great choices to eat. Took us about 20-25 minutes to Clearwater Beach. We were all super happy with this home and location.

We had a wonderful week at the Safety Harbor house. We all enjoyed the pool and quiet location. Safety Harbor was a short drive away with great restaurants and ice cream! The house is also closely located to Publix, Walgreens and other stores that are convenient while traveling. We were about 30-40 minutes away from great beaches. We were able to use the houses beach towels and chairs which made the trip even better. Bryan was very responsive to all questions. Our family would highly recommend this location and house.

If I could I would give this place 10 stars, it is just that good. It was extremely clean and well organized, the host was gracious, attentive, and easily accessible. There was more than enough room for our guests both in and outdoors. We all loved the pool including all the fun floaties. We had corn hole available and a fun swing which were definitely bonuses! The kitchen is well equipped and all of our coffee drinking guests loved the coffee bar. It is an easy drive from the Tampa airport, wonderful Phillipe Park is just a few minute walk and the beaches are an easy drive. There are several good places to go for food and drinks within walking distance (around a mile) if you are staying around Safety Harbor, which is a beautiful place. If we are able to get back to the area, I will definitely want to stay here again!

Our family of 7 (5 adults and 2 children, 8 & 10) just enjoyed the most relaxing time at this beautiful home. It's clean, roomy, well equipped and the beds are so comfortable. We spent one entire day just chillaxing in the pool! The house is convenient to beaches, Safety Harbor has a cute downtown area with lots of restaurants and shops, Phillipe Park (Tampa Bay waterfront) is a 4 minute walk, and we easily drove into Tampa one evening to see the sights. Brian is very helpful and responsive. I couldn't give a higher recommendation - you will love this place!

We just wanted to say thank you, for such an amazing week at you vacation home. The pool and back yard setting are so tranquil , you loose track of time. This property is In such a great location for dining and activities. The philippe park is so close and beautiful. Tampa and the airport were not far either. We also had time for the beaches close by.
