paradise! we can’t wait to come back!

This house is truly paradise! They thought of everything when they redid this home. What an easy place to visit with our family. The two golf carts are a bonus as they didn’t have any available on the island. Renting this home with the carts made our stay so much easier and enjoyable! The manager is great and met us at the dock, helped us unload and was available for anything we needed. The house has a beautiful setup with the balcony and porch! There is plenty of seating to enjoy dinner, coffee or even lounge in the sun! We even had speakers outside to enjoy music and watch the sunset from the house! The house was perfect and spotless! We will be back again this year! Don’t think twice just book the house! Best family trip we have had!

Well Outfitted Lovely Beach House Near Sunsets on the Beach

We had an excellent stay at Coconut Castaway on North Captiva. The house was well taken care of. Comfortable updated furniture good for a big family and big family dinners. Kitchen had most of the things we needed to cook all our meals during our stay. The house was set up with soap and shampoos in the bathroom, kitchen soap and dishwasher soap, dishtowels, lots of bath towels and nice beach towels.these things were very helpful and next time I don't have to haul that stuff with. Beds were very comfortable. There were umbrellas and beach chairs in good condition to use on the beach. One well taken care of gold cart was part of rental. It was good we rented a second golf cart as we had 6 people going two or more directions. Thanks for a great stay. we will be back!!!

Coconut Castaway Spring Vacation 2020

Excellent property well maintained and equipped. Owners were great and property management were great too. Beautiful views of the the gulf right from the house. We totally enjoyed the stay and is worth the cost. We totally recommend Coconut Castaway!

AMAZING PLACE!!!!

What a fantastic place to stay!!! The island is beautiful. The home is located in a perfect spot just steps away from the ocean. The owners have provided everything from beach chairs and umbrellas to games and extra bedding for the cooler nights. The management company was SO attentive to any request or additional item needed. Highly impressed with them!!!! We arrived with 8 adults and had plenty of room for everyone to gather together or sprawl out in smaller areas on the property. This trip was a huge success and we will definitely be back!

Perfection!

Coconut Castaway is absolutely wonderful! From the very first step of booking, communication leading up to our stay, to having the home fully stocked with groceries when we arrived, a tour of the island when we arrived (and they accommodated our travel/flight delays with a very early morning ferry pickup), and a beautifully updated beach home that was furnished with everything you could ever want and need. The home was clean, extremely comfortable, well laid out, and beautifully furnished. The large screened in lanai with large table was a wonderful addition - we spent our evenings on the lanai (and upper level crows nest) watching the sunset, having dinner, playing games and cards, and spending time together as a family. The home is also located close to the grass airstrip and we loved watching the small planes and helicopters take off and land-it was such a fun experience!We loved spending our days outside at the beach (only a few short steps away from the home) and at the pool; the home is stocked with plenty of beach towels, chairs, a small cooler, etc that made our time at the beach so much more comfortable. The home is also a part of the North Captiva Island Club where we had easy and super convenient access two 2 large pools, beach cruiser and fat tire bikes, kayaks, beach/pool bar and grill. and so much more!!The property management company, Tortuga Properties, also ensured our stay was wonderful. From the home check-in and island tour, stocking us with groceries, checking in to ensure that we had everything we needed, inviting us to participate in the island golf cart parade, and a seamless checkout process.I couldn't recommend this property, the homeowners, and management company more!! Perfect island getaway

We LOVED Coconut Castaway. This house was carefully remodeled, furnished and stocked for anyone's enjoyment. Nothing was missing from the experience. A great family-friendly set up with hot tub, patio and rooftop just a stone's throw away from the beach! The owners are fantastic - Great communication and full of fun recommendations!

Wonderful house and beaches!

We had a wonderful stay! We had never been to North Cap before and loved the experience! We loved that the landscaping felt tropical and exotic! My husband and I brought my in-laws and 4 boys and the house was perfect for the 8 of us! A very short walk to the beach or take a golf cart drive to another. The sunrises from the roof and the sunsets from the beach where amazing! The seashells were numerous and two of my kids caught fish with their hands from the ocean. We loved riding around in the golf cart and seeing the homes and beaches. You literally do not need much....a swimsuit and cover....maybe an outfit for dinner one night. Two of the four restaurants require reservations beforehand. If we return, we would schedule a fishing charter as it looks like a wonderful place to fish and do some kayaking. Do bring bug spray! If you want a quiet, laid back trip...this is it!

Worth a return trip

Bill and Trisha are fantastic hosts - took care of the little things - to help locate cork screw; internet stuff; running interference on the bumps in the road The house is outstanding - we spent most of our time on the upstairs screened in porch off the main room. Lush and beautifully landscaped lot - The Island was a opportunity to experience Florida as it was many years ago. Vacation at the house and Island had many treasured memories and experiences.

Slice of Paradise

Coconut Castaway was the perfect place to spend a much needed vacation. The house was clean and very well equipped; kitchen utensils were some of the best we’ve seen at a home rental, which was great for us as we love to cook! Beach towels ✔️ Beach chairs ✔️ What more is needed on this beautiful island! Although we did not spend a ton of time indoors, when we did we were amazed at how well the technology worked! Rokus ensured our littles could watch their favorite shows and movies before bed, the Nest thermostats were a breeze to use and kept us comfortable, and the internet worked flawlessly! The bedrooms and bathrooms were again, clean and so inviting with bright and airy decorating design. Most loved by us was the ability to open the large glass doors to expand the living room into the large screened in porch, letting in the ocean breezes. We spent 5 nights at Coconut Castaway and could have stayed another 5 due to the home’s comfortable environment and its convenience to the beach (a short 2 block walk)! The golf cart was our very own exploration vehicle, and explore we did! The island is a magical place, from its sandy (and shell filled) beaches to the mangroves to the nature preserve at the southern end of the island, there’s plenty to explore. If you want to start your day watching the sunrise from Coconut Castaway’s crows nest, spend the day soaking up the sun and sand, take a cool and comfortable afternoon nap in a clean and relaxing bed, and then end the day watching the sunset from the nearby beach then this is the home for you. Counting down the days until we can return!
