About this rental
Looking for a beautiful, impeccably designed, spacious vacation home where young and old can gather? Looking to relax on a tranquil beach with private access and breathtaking views ? Want to wake up in the morning to the sun rising over the Atlantic and then watch it set over a protected wildlife reserve? If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then search no more. Wren Beach Rentals presents “Sunrise, Sunset”! Just renovated in the summer of 2019 with everything brand new, top to bottom, this stunning "coastal modern" home is now ready for visitors.
Nestled on a lush dune overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and across from the Guana Nature Reserve, the house offers a variety of sleeping options with four bedrooms and three full baths, including a charming bunk room adjacent to a media room. The open floor plan of the main level allows guests to mingle in the kitchen and dining areas while still being in the mix with friends and family in the living room. The fully stocked, spacious kitchen offers everything an experienced chef could ask for, all while enjoying the views of the ocean. From stainless steel appliances to rich granite counter tops, the kitchen is not only warm and inviting, but very functionally practical, stocked with quality cookware and full dinner sets. And we promise, there will be no shortage of wine glasses (or any glassware for that matter)!
The dining area features a beautiful farmhouse table with seating up to eight. The spacious and bright living area offers plenty of room to lounge and unwind or gather round and binge-watch your favorite show on the large flat-screen TV mounted over the decorative fireplace. From the living room you can access two fantastic outdoor areas. The oceanfront deck is open to the sun and offers a great place to work on your tan or have lunch while watching the dolphins frolic in the ocean. On the south side of the house is the covered, screened porch. This may become your favorite spot at the house! It offers constant shade and cooler temperatures, while still allowing for the sea breeze to pass through. The screens help to keep unwanted pests away while you enjoy your morning coffee or an outdoor dinner. The homeowners got the inspiration to call the house “Sunrise, Sunset” from the changing views enjoyed from this porch!
Located in the northern end of South Ponte Vedra Beach, “Sunrise, Sunset” is just 15 minutes south of posh Ponte Vedra where you will find fine restaurants, boutique shopping, spas, and of course, the famous golf courses at TPC Sawgrass. If sightseeing is in your future, historic St. Augustine is just 20 minutes south. Here you will find countless shops, tours, and eateries. Be sure to visit many of the locally owned businesses that give discounts specifically to our Wren Beach Rentals guests. Day trips to Orlando, Daytona, and Jacksonville are easy. So, if you are coming in for the Player's Championship, Disney time, Nascar races, or to catch a football game with the Jaguars, "Sunrise, Sunset" is centrally located and a welcome oasis to return to at the end of the day.
“Sunrise, Sunset” is fully stocked with just about anything you might need on your trip. We provide all linens, bath towels, and a starter supply of toiletries and cleaning goods. We have a pack-n-play portable crib, a high-chair, as well as baby gates for the stairs. Smart TVs are in the living room, bunk room, master and queen bedrooms, with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. There is a gas grill in the garage (please do not take it up to the decks), and we provide backup propane for your use. Beach chairs, a beach umbrella and beach towels are also supplied. All you need to do is bring your favorite drinks, a bathing suit, and some sunscreen! Don’t delay. Call today to enjoy your sunrise and sunset!
On the main level of the house, you'll also find a full bath with walk-in shower and two well-proportioned bedrooms: One queen room (with a TV!), ocean-side with French doors that open onto the deck and provide gorgeous ocean views; the other with two full-size beds. Both bedrooms have large closets and dressers offering plenty of room to unpack and settle in. Throughout the house you'll find hotel-quality linens, pillows, and comforters.
The private master suite encompasses the entire top floor and boasts the same, stunning ocean views. The comfy king bed is dressed in soft sheets and a fluffy comforter, inviting you in for a good night’s sleep. Before nodding off, catch up on the latest news or your favorite late night show on the flat screen TV. The en-suite master bathroom features a corner sink with granite counter top, a step-in shower, and a walk-in closet.
Downstairs is the hidden gem of the house. The whole family will love the bunk room! Built with the intention of providing a fun “getaway” in the home, the bunk room features two custom, twin-over-double bunk beds complete with individual lighting, comfortably sleeping 6 children. While this area will be a hit with groups traveling with their kids, grown-ups will find it just as inviting. Adjacent to the bunks is an attractive media room with plenty of seating. Books and board games can also be found here. The laundry room, a small, full-bath, and the garage can also be found on this level, as well as access to the lower patio. Located under the 2nd floor deck, this area offers yet another shady spot to gather and provides the perfect place to sit and keep the grill-master company while dinner is being prepared.
The private boardwalk leads over the flourishing, natural dune and right down to the beach. At the end of the walkway are a bench and outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Because there are no public access points nearby and driving is not allowed on the beach, it feels like your own private slice of paradise! Of course, if you are visiting during Sea Turtle Season (May through October), you may see the Turtle Patrol on their ATVs, checking for nests. Enjoy long walks on the beach as you search for shells and shark teeth, learn to catch some waves, or try your hand at surf fishing. You are sure to find plenty to do on the beach. Of course, you can always lay out your towel and just relax under the sun.

Ready to Return
This was our first visit to Ponte Vedra Beach, but we do not expect that it will be our last. There are so many reasons to return to this spot. Foremost, would be the lovely home with stunning views of the ocean, just steps away from the sand and waves. Beyond the immediate beach to the north, are miles of quiet shore for walking and beachcombing. The shelling was great while we were there. Unfortunately, we did not get to explore the surrounding area of Ponte Vedra because our vacation was cut short due to Hurricane Nicole. A final reason to come back is that the friendly folks at Wren are so pleasant and easy to deal with. They provided all the information we needed, whenever we needed it, in a timely manner.

Lovely slice of beach heaven
This was a very quiet and peaceful place. Go to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing, and start your day with morning sunshine on the deck. The house has everything you need - well stocked kitchen and a great flow, along with a screened in porch with two tables and chairs. There is a high and low tide clock above the fireplace - talk a walk when the tide recedes and you will likely find perfect conch shells. We found a red starfish which we put back into the water. The weather was terrible for a full week of our two week stay — very unusual we are told — but we spent a lot of time walking around St Augustine, which is stunning. Check out 3rd fl deck at River & Fort; Stand in line by 3pm for 4pm opening and sprint up or you will get boxed out. Second floor deck is nice but no view. Parking (and traffic) can be tough and $ so park for free on a residential street and walk to town. Can’t wait to come back next year!
