Welcome to Anchorage in Paradise, a bright and inviting 2BR/2BA, elevated, half of a duplex. This clean, pet-friendly retreat is nestled mid-island on a quiet street—offering peaceful relaxation and easy access to the beach, gulf, dining, shopping, and island attractions. So come on down. The unit sleeps four comfortably and can accommodate up to six guests. It features an open concept with cathedral ceilings and offers two spacious king bedrooms with plenty of closet space. A raised queen-size blow-up mattress is available for extra guests. There is plenty of off-street parking for up to four vehicles.
Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails and meals on the spacious, screened-in lanai. When the weather is nice, the sliding glass doors open all the way back making the lanai part of the house, inviting the cool breezes inside.

Fort Myers Beach is a charming 7-mile long, 1/2 mile wide barrier island off Florida’s southwest coast, known for its beautiful white-sand beaches, stunning sunsets, family-friendly vibe, and laid-back island lifestyle. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or excitement, this tropical destination offers it all—from watersports and boat tours to fishing, biking, or just lounging with a cocktail in hand.
Essentials like Publix Grocery Store, CVS Pharmacy, and a walk-in health clinic are nearby on the island (but we hope you won't need that!). The Key West Express boat makes day trips to Key West an easy and fun option during your stay.
There are lots of places to rent bikes, and they will deliver the bikes right to the unit and pick them up when you're through. You can also rent scooters or electric bikes.
There is a tram that runs from the library (about 1/2 mile from the unit) that will take you anywhere along Estero Blvd., for free! Also, Trippin' Rides is available for a nominal fee. They'll come pick you up and take you anywhere you wish to on the island. Margaritaville Resort's pool has offered day-passes for non-guests to enjoy for the day. Awesome 10 days at Ft Myers beach staying in this rental. Rental was spacious, exceptionally clean & set up perfectly for our 2 fur babies. This was our first trip with our dogs & it could not have gone better. Jill was just a phone call away which was wonderful. We also felt very comfortable with Christy & would most definitely recommend her for looking after your fur babies if needed She is a sweetheart. Ken & I hope to stay here again & highly recommend this rental.:)

Great location, on the laid back end of the crazy fun ‘downtown’. A beachfront that’s not too busy this time of year. Don’t worry about kitchen amenities, has everything you will need. Very reasonable, clean, organized, comfortable and pretty. Would love to return some day.

From the moment my family and I stepped into this lovely duplex, we knew we found the perfect place! Jill & Dave greeted us, made sure we had all that we needed. They are a wonderful couple and it was a joy to call them friends when we departed. The pictures don't do justice in terms of size. We have a 17 yr old son and 14 yr old daughter and our dog. There was plenty of space for all. The first thing I noticed was how clean then entire house was. It felt great knowing I didn't have to worry about that - especially now. The location is perfect. Far enough away to not get caught up in the riff raff. The walk to the beach took about 1 minuet. The beach is clean and our dog loved every minute of it. We were in excellent proximity of all we wanted to do, jet skiing, dog beach, dining. The grocery store is very close as well. I would absolutely recommend friends and family to stay at Jill & Dave's. I know we will definitely be back. Perfect place for a relaxing, stress free stay in Ft. Myers.

David & Jill are such super host! It was a delight to meet them and stay in their home over our peaceful week. The area itself is just a relaxing easy going place. We found many shells, ate great food and really enjoyed the dog beach with Annie & Willow. The home itself, was very comfy and relaxing. The porch area was great to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings with the nice breeze blowing through. The bed was super comfy, which for me is a bonus. The kitchen was stocked with all your basic items that you would need. The beach itself is just steps away, just a great property and we will be back! My husband and I originally were planning a long weekend at one of the local hotels until my husband ran into Jill one day while working. She provided us her business card and we booked a week stay later that day. We extended our stay by another week and it was totally worth it! We enjoyed the beach mostly everyday and ate at many of the amazing restaurants near by. We rarely left Estero Island unless we took a 10 min drive to Walmart for groceries. We brought along our 8 month puppy who loved the attention of our neighbors and our two young children under 10. It was a pleasant and relaxing getaway and we are sad to go. Our experience with Jill and her husband was very refreshing. We pulled up to two smiling faces and got along as if they were life time friends. She offered my daughter art supplies to keep her entertained. I hope she seen the drawing my daughter left her. I hope to visit again and very grateful for their hospitality and their generous hearts. As far as the home, it has everything you need and more. It was clean from top to bottom and there were no issues. Thank you, Jill!

I and my family have stayed in this home twice and both times have enjoyed the good atmosphere and privacy. We definitely will return when we visit again. Jill and David, the owners, are very kind and helpful and always have made me and my family feel at home. We love this place!! I try to book it when my parents come to visit me for 1 month, and we all stay there. It has the best location, being in the middle of the island. It is close to the party area, to Publix, to the theater, to both ends of the island and almost on the beach. Also, Jill anf her husband are great hosts, very friendly and polite and accommodating. We love to cook (the kitchen is fully equipped) and to eat on the little balcony, especially in the morning when you can feel a nice breeze and watch people walking and the island come to life. It is an awesome place to stay and I am glad I found it!!

We book with Jill & David each time we visit. Very friendly people! Love the spacious yet homey feel this rental provides. It is always clean. We love that the beach is just a short walk across the street, and the beach is never crowded at that area. We have found some beautiful shells along the beach. We love walking the beach to the pier. Rental location is on a peaceful, quiet street but is still within walking/biking distance to restaurants, shops, bars & Times Square. Gorgeous sunsets & we always look forward to our next stay! So much so, that we booked twice in 2019!

If you love the island you'll love the location of this rental. It's mid island and just a short walk to a beautiful beach. The beach is uncrowded and pet friendly (on leash).Now to the rental. It is clean and spacious . The bedrooms each have a king sized bed, which is very comfortable with good quality bedding. The laundry is conveniently located in the apartment, so no carrying your clothes up and down stairs. The kitchen is well stocked with a wide assortment of pots, pans and dishes. My favorite is the screened in porch, it is large and inviting in any weather.Jill and Dave are always available to answer any questions or to lend a hand.Can't wait till March!

We stayed at Jill's and David's for 3 years. We spent six weeks and it was wonderful. The house is very spacious and full of light. We have 2 dogs and they would spend all day on the huge lanai and people watch. Both bedrooms are very spacious with dressers and huge closets . The kitchen,which is open to the dining and living rooms, is well equipped for anything you may want to cook. There is also a grill for barbecuing. The beach is a 3 minute walk and very quiet. It is also dog friendly so you can take your dogs for long walks. I especially liked the early mornings.Being there was like being home-Everyone was like family! Due to medical issues, we no longer are able to go down, but 157 Anchorage will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We have stayed at Dave and Jill's unit for 4 years and couldn't be happier! The rental is large, TV's, great kitchen with newer appliances, laundry appliances, master bedroom with king size bed and bathroom. The second bedroom provides a queen size bed and bathroom. A favorite place for my dog and more relaxation or reading is the spacious screened lanai. We love being able to walk to the sandy beach. Bikes are available also. The Wed Farmer's Market for fresh produce is only a few blocks. Most of all, Jill and Dave are next door to make you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay! You'll love the hospitality!!!

Home away from home! I have been coming here for years. My dog and I have enjoyed many hours on the screened lanai. The beach is close by for cool morning walks. It is on a quiet little side street, away from all the tourists. The kitchen is well equipped and open to the spacious living area. Looking forward to next year!

We’ve been staying at Jill’s place for several years now and every time we don’t want to leave. As soon as we arrive we feel like we’re home. Jill and David are great hosts and the house has everything you need for a wonderful relaxing vacation. You can’t beat the location. The beach is a short walk away and it’s on a quieter part of the island which we love. FMB has some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll find anywhere. The dogs love their daily walk on the beach! If you want to get in the middle of the action the pier and square are just a short drive or a bike ride away. Sanibel Island is also a short drive away as well. You will find a laid back, relaxing, pet and kid friendly stay at Jill and David’s place. It has become our home away from home. Best value in FMB!

Yes, if they're leashed. A few miles south there's Dog Beach, where your dogs can run and play leash free, and there's a nice beach area for you to sit and watch and play too. Please remember to always provide fresh water for our four-legged pals.
Yes. There is Junkanoo on the Bay which is approximately 1/2 mile from the house, below the Publix supermarket. You can access Junkanoo from the street or the bay by boat. Just cross the street from the beach at Publix and walk right to it. Or, if you've rented a boat for the day, there's a marina there, so pull on up and enjoy great food. Also at that location is a white tablecloth restaurant called The Fresh Catch Bistro. It's excellent for lunch, dinner, and special occasions. And remember, you're on the beach, so you don't have to get "that" dressed up. Casual is fine.
Sorry, no. But the beach is only 1/4 block away. And now, Margaritaville is on the island. You can purchase a pool pass for the day and enjoy their pool with all their amenities. Call for information.
