About the host: I am Gottfried Knoll, a retired advertising man, and I lost my wife years after she had suffered a stroke. I am spending most of my time now in our Long Island, New York home and with my children and grandchildren who live in Europe. However, it is my endeavor to keep my condo at the state of the art, making improvements every time I get here, and renew my connections with local help so should anything unforeseen be happening it can be remedied immediately. Fortunately, there is rarely a need for this. With today's Internet, I can be reached by email anywhere on the globe and am happy when I hear from my tenants that they have an enjoyable stay.
Why this property? Had been looking for Florida property for a while. Was not so impressed when I first saw the property from the outside. However, was overwhelmed by the tropical landscaping inside, and bought the only unit on the market at that time, completely taken away by the breathtaking view from the balcony. Originally, I had the unit in the existing rental program, and it took me and my wife five years until we spent some time here. Very quickly, we expanded our stays and dropped out of the rental program to have more private use of the condo. Having retired, we enjoyed extended stays, and I look at the condo more as a second home than a rental property.
