Tucked away on Big Pine Key, this elevated canal-front home offers the relaxed rhythm of the Florida Keys with room to breathe, unwind, and reconnect with nature. From peaceful mornings on the deck to spectacular sunsets over the water, this home is designed for guests who appreciate comfort, simplicity, and the magic of island living.

At select times of the year we open our home to a few special guests—otherwise it’s simply a place we enjoy ourselves.

The home sits directly on a canal with access to open water and includes dockage for up to 25 feet along the seawall. Whether you’re here for fishing, boating, kayaking, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the Lower Keys, the location offers a perfect balance of privacy and convenience.

Its a peaceful, comfortable place to settle in, unwind, and experience the easy rhyme of island life. That combination of water, wildlife, and true Keys character is what made us fall in love with it.

Why Kids Love It

Kids will love the excitement of spotting dolphins, searching for colorful fish, observing the Key Deer (up close) and enjoying fishing from the private dock or the No Name Bridge, a mile away and visible from the house.

Area Information

Big Pine Key is known for its natural beauty and wildlife. It’s common to see the famous Key Deer wandering through the neighborhood or even the yard. These tiny deer are protected and beloved residents of the island, and observing them is one of the unique joys of staying here.

Favorite Places To Eat

On the Island, I recommend BPK Rooster, relaxed homestyle island food, Kiki's in the Winn Dixie plaza and Pizzaworks has decent pizza.
Headed toward Key West there's Tonio's, a solid choice on the water, a good happy hour with fresh seafood and cocktails, go in the evening and watch the fishing boats returning home, Next is Looe Key Resort . It has a dive shop, hotel and tiki bar with tasty treats from the local vendor and live music, sports tv and enough room to dance. Boondocks is great for putt putt golf under the tropical trees, consistently good seafood and drinks, usually has a good happy hour menu and live music as well. Don't miss the gift shop!
If you decide to head toward Marathon there are a great number of excellent food options. If it's hard to find parking it's probably worth trying. Burdine's fir the best land food including burgers. Castaway's serves a great brunch and has a large selection of draft beers. Happy hour is another great time to try them out.

Inside Scoop

Big Pine Key is home to the endangered Key deer, a tiny subspecies of white-tailed deer found only in the Lower Florida Keys. You'll often spot them quietly wandering through the neighborhood, especially in the early morning and dusk. They may seem friendly, but please enjoy them from a distance - feeding or touching the Key deer is illegal. Drive slowly through the island, as they can step into the road unexpectedly (and do it often without looking both ways).
