The space:
This centrally located studio loft features a 2 comfy Queen beds, one bathroom, a full kitchen and access to a balcony that is shared by two other apartments next door. Stocked with cooking supplies, fresh linens, and complimentary coffee supplies, this flat is designed with you in mind to make your vacation stress free!
Located on the second floor, this studio features stunning architecture including 10 foot ceilings and large windows to make the most of the Florida sunshine. The open concept kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a Keurig coffee machine with K-cups, sugar, sweetener, and creamer. The full bathroom is complete with an high end updates and is stocked with complimentary toiletries! In the open concept living area you'll find a 2 cozy Queen beds, a comfortable sofa and accent chairs, and a Smart TV for you to enjoy all your favorite streaming services!
Just down the hall is a common area laundry room. The coin operated laundry machines are $1.50 a load with a change machine available
This property was constructed in 1908 and was known as the Buchman Department Store from 1914 to 1991. Although the building has since been converted into gorgeous studio-lofts and a hub for local businesses, you can still catch a glimpse of the old "Buchman Store" sign from 7th Avenue.
Guest access:
Guests will receive a 4-digit access code that opens the door to the unit and an additional access code to enter the building.
The Neighborhood:
Founded in the 1880s, the Historic Ybor City district is well known for its eclectic collection of culture and countless cigar factories in which the city was named, for Don Vincent Martinez Ybor. Take a stroll down the original red brick streets and step into a piece of history. Indulge in a comedy show at The Improv, dine at the historic Columbia Restaurant or explore the local shops, bars, and artisans that make the Ybor community so rich!
Getting around:
Ybor City is famous for the street trolley system and its iconic bright yellow trolleys - it's free, runs every 15 minutes and has many stops throughout Ybor, Downtown Tampa and Sparkman Wharf! Ybor City is a very walkable neighborhood however, there are also self-service bicycles and electric scooters available for rent in the area via any of the scooter rental apps. (Bird, Uber, Lime, etc.) If you are planning on exploring the Greater Tampa Bay Area, there are many car rental storefronts at the airport and in the surrounding area! Tampa and Ybor City have a plethora of street parking, garage parking and pay by app parking.
Other things to note:
- NOISE ADVISORY: please note that this rental sits in the heart of Centro Ybor and is located nearby several bars and night clubs. The surrounding noise from live music, vehicles, and passersby can be very loud, especially on the weekends. We do provide noise cancelling machines and ear plugs for our guests to help.
- SMOKING: Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the unit, on the balcony, and anywhere on the property. There will be a $500 fee charged to guests who do not obey this rule.
- PETS: We are pet-friendly! Our pet fee is $50 per pet, per stay. We expect all owners to pick up after their pets and supply their own waste bags. Any damages caused by your animal will result in additional fees. You must notify us if you are bringing your pet!
- PARKING ADVISORY: the free parking lot associated with this unit is called the "Roseinheim Lot" and is located 2.5 blocks away from the apartment building. The distance is 0.3 miles and is a short a 7 minute walk. There is a city owned pay for parking lot at the actual apt building that you can park at briefly while you unpack your bags and grab the parking pass hanger from the room. The Rosenheim Lot is located at 2209 E 9th Ave.

MarshallWe had an amazing stay at CAYA Rentals' Casa Ybor property. First, the location can't be beat - the property is right on 7th street in Ybor. The space itself is wonderful - high ceilings, recently renovated, and comfortable. There isn't a lot of extra space other than the sleeping area; the layout is very similar to a standard hotel room. That said, it looked exactly like the pictures and matched exactly what we needed! There is a full kitchen which was very nice, and it's stocked with everything that you might need. There is also a shared balcony to provide some outdoor space. The hosts were always responsive, the instructions for check-in and house logistics were clear, and we felt very at home during our time there. All in all, this was a great stay, and I definitely hope to return.

LouisReally good spot. All customers bet live every playoff Sunday would stay at again. Positive: Right in the middle of everything. You can walk everywhere; has free parking; can't beat that. The games begin. Very comfortable spot. Negative: There are a lot of steps so be mindful if you have a lot of luggage. Also the parking lot behind the apartment fills with people at night hanging out and partying in their cars. So it can be noisy.

TimYbor City is really an amazing part of Tampa. Lots of historical things by day, including authentic Cuban food, coffee, and cigars. By night there is an amazing amount of night life, including a five story, nightclub cigar bars, and many other others. This unit literally walks right out into the street. The unit itself was clean and perfect as well as very well equipped. Decided to stay an extra day at the last minute and this couldn’t have been easier.
