• Hidden Beaches & Sunset Spots – Avoid the well-known beaches at peak times — locals know spots along the lesser used beaches or preserves where sunsets are breathtaking and crowds are thin.
• Nighttime Firepit & Local Tiki Bar Vibes – When the tourist restaurants close, locals gather in smaller tiki bars or waterfront spots near Cape Harbour or Pelican for live music and casual drinks.
• Wildlife at Four Mile Cove – Early morning here you get mangroves, boardwalks, birds, sometimes manatees. Quiet, beautiful, and less trafficked.
• Boat Launch & Hidden Fishing Spots – Aside from major marinas, locals know small public boat launches and quiet canal ends that are good for fishing and launching a kayak without paying high marina fees.
Best Sunset Spots
• Cape Harbour Marina Boardwalk – Grab a drink at Rumrunners or Fathoms and watch the sun dip below the horizon.
• Jaycee Park – Quieter and right along the river, perfect for an evening picnic.
Hidden Nature Gems
• Rotary Park & Butterfly House – Peaceful trails and a charming butterfly enclosure few tourists find.
• Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve – Boardwalk through mangroves and early-morning wildlife spotting (look for manatees!).
Paddle & Play
• Launch a kayak right from your dock at Seahorse Cove for a sunrise paddle.
• Explore the mangrove tunnels off the canals — mornings are calm and magical.
Fishing & Water Fun
• Bring a line and fish right off your private dock — locals say dusk is best for bites.
• Keep an eye out for dolphins and manatees in the canal — early morning is prime spotting time.

Deborah H.Seahorse Cove blew us away!!
The home feels so inviting, the moment we walked in we were greeted with bright and airy surroundings. It was so cute and comfy...the kids loved it! The swimming pool was wonderful. The kids had lots of toys and games to play while we relaxed on the loungers and enjoyed the views of the canal. There was even a tiki bar and lanai fire table that was magical! The kids took the kayaks out and spotted two manatees--such a unique experience right from the backyard. We were even given S'mores supplies to snack on~ The location is also fantastic. Truly one of the best vacation stays we've had...We'll definitely be back!!
