The first level is the only space that remains under repair. The second two levels are where the bedrooms and common living areas are. There was no hurricane damage to these areas.
House is beautiful 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, non-smoking home. House is located at the north end of the island near Times Square, the new Margaritaville Resort, and the popular downtown and Bayside Park areas. Our house sleeps 12 excluding an inflatable twin mattress and the pack-n-play. No more than 13 guests can be accommodated due to fire code, no exceptions.
House is fully equipped - towels, linens, soap, shampoo, etc. are provided.
You'll find the outdoor space as nice as anything you'll find on the island right now. Your outdoor oasis and over-sized, heated pool are ready for you to enjoy. We're told that the pool is the largest private pool on the island and is heated to a constant 83 degrees (pool will be warmer than that from May-October as we don't cool it). Beach chairs, pub tables, outdoor grill are all ready for your use.
Free Wi-Fi. Xfinity high def cable with more than 140 channels and the extra sports package. All bedrooms include wall mounted, HD TVs with cable (4 of 5 with smart TVs).
You're going to find more than you expect - certainly more than you'll find in most vacation rentals. We have a pack-n-play, highchair, booster seat. We have two high-capacity washing machines and two dryers. We have hair dryers in each bathroom plus a hair straightener in one bathroom. Far too much for us to list everything included in this space.
Notice to guests: Southern Serenity has outdoor security cameras. They are not concealed and clearly visible. They are for security purposes only. There are no concealed cameras and no cameras inside the home.

Two words: the pool. Yea, there's a beach 1700' away. Many of our families spend their entire stay in our heated pool - reportedly the largest private pool on Fort Myers Beach.
Area Information
Located in Fort Myers Beach, this vacation home is in the city center and on the beach. Key West Express and Jungle Golf Ft. Myers are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Santini Marina Shopping Plaza and Bell Tower Shops. Traveling with kids? Consider Bay Oaks Recreation Center, or check out an event or a game at CenturyLink Sports Complex. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

About the owner: Shelley and I began traveling to Fort Myers Beach with our kids during Spring Break in 2005. We fell in love with the island and have been coming back every year since. In 2018, we finally pulled the trigger and purchase a home. Over the years, we've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals. We've paid close attention to what we liked and, more importantly, what we didn't. You'll see by our more than 135 five-star guest reviews that we pay attention to the little things that you'll love as a beach vacationer. You'll also quickly see the difference between our family home that we make available to guests and a vacation rental. You won't be disappointed.
Why this property? This is our family home that our family enjoys throughout the year. We have it stocked with everything a family of 14 ages 1 to 81 would need. Most homes you're considering don't have amenities like pack-n-plays, highchairs, kids' toys, etc., or if they do, they're charging an extra fee. Everything you see is included.
There's never an extra charge to heat our oversized pool (we're told it's the largest private pool on the island) - it's heated to at least 83 degrees year-round (and often much warmer than that thanks to the Florida sun).
Our home is personally owned and operated. You'll quickly feel the difference between a 'professional' property manager who manages dozens or hundreds of properties and a family-owned, personally managed home.

We are return visitors to Brad and Shelley’s home because we love it so much. We travel as a group of eight, two families, four kids/four adults. Yes there is plenty of space for all of us to spread out and the proximity to the beach with also a pool is amazing. However, this place is more special to us because the resident neighbors are so welcoming and kind and create such a friendly neighborhood for our kids to play outside and ride bikes without fear for their safety. It is WONDERFUL! Brad and Shelley have worked to make a great vacation home that is easy to feel at home in and has everything needed to live like at home. They are wonderful hosts! Here you will really feel like a home away from home. So close to the beach yet also so private. We hate to share it! You will love it.
