About the owner: Mike is a civil engineer and Sherry is an RN. We currently live in Dayton, OH but have also lived in CA, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. All these places have beautiful beaches but none compares to Destin, FL. Mike lived in Pensacola as a child and Sherry grew up vacationing in Panama City Beach. We vacationed here when our 2 children were growing up. Now our 5 grandchildren love to vacation here as well.
Why this property? We loved the split floor plan and proximity to our private beach access. We wanted a pool and this house has one of the largest back yards in the neighborhood. Mike designed our pool to fit the back yard and still leave lots of room for a big patio.
We bought a 2 bdrm ocean view condo in 2001 but as our family grew, we needed a larger property. We thought we'd miss the ocean view but found we much prefer the privacy of a single family home with garage and private pool.

How far is the beach?

How large is the pool? Is it private?
20x21 feet with underwater benches in the corners. The private pool is in the backyard, for your use only.
How deep is the pool?
3 to 5 feet so no diving!

Do you provide beach service?
Yes, 2 reclining chairs & 1 umbrella on private Seashells beach only, 9-5 daily during season (March - Oct)
Do you provide a golf cart?
No but we have a discount code for DestinCarts. Please be advised there is no parking along the beach road.
Do local supermarkets deliver?
Yes and we advise to get your order in early for your preferred delivery time. Sat is changeover day for most rentals so can be very busy.
If we arrive before check-in time, what is there to do while we wait?
Go out to eat, go shopping at the outlet mall or go to public beach beside Pompano Joe's where there are facilities and free parking.

We had a great week in this beautiful home! Had all the amenities we needed and more. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and very comfortable. Kitchen had every convenience for the family cook and grill master. Large garage with many beach items to use as well as a garage fridge for extras. Pool was fantastic and used sun up to sun down. Easy walk to the beach and having beach service was really nice. Owners were absolutely fantastic to work with from first booking to check out. They worked with us on some scheduling issues and we even got in a little early. Housekeeping crew did an excellent job prior to our arrival. No cleaning issues or concerns. Don't hesitate to book this home, you will not be disappointed!

The house has everything you need if you don't feel like going anywhere. If you do want to venture out then there are a lot of local restaurants that are close and family friendly. The pool is the perfect size for adults and kids to use without worrying about a deep end. The place is clean and big enough for the allotted amount of people. Kitchen is better than most homes. Everything you need to cook what you want is there. Book it before it's gone.

This home is a perfect family vacation destination. Fantastic layout and this home is the best stocked rental I have ever seen! The pool is lovely and a great extra for the kids! Short walk to the beach but the tools you need to make the transition easy are provided for you at the rental! You won't be disappointed! Sherry is extremely responsive and such a great hostess. We have stayed here with our family twice and wouldn't want to be anywhere else when we visit the Destin/Miramar Beach area!

The lovely home has all the amenities you need! Best equipped kitchen I’ve been to on vacation! Short walk to beach. Pompano Joe’s and several other restaurants to enjoy within a fairly short walk. Awesome communication with owners with any questions we had during our stay. Pool was a nice size for our family and two grandsons.

We just spent a wonderful week at Sherry & Mike’s gorgeous home. The house was stocked with every imaginable item we possibly could have needed, including a huge selection of dishes, glasses, silverware, & small appliances for our family of 6. This location could easily accommodate a larger family, and the owners have have beds available for small children as well. The optional heated pool was an added bonus as we had some cool evenings. As for the location, the beautiful sugar white sand beach is about a 10 minute walk, which is made easier because the owners have a large wagon available to haul all the beach gear. Sherry was wonderful to work with & was very responsive within hours to any questions we had. We would not hesitate to rent from her again!

We and the kids had a fantastic week at Sherry and Mike's home in Miramar Beach. It was unseasonably hot, but the air and fans unobtrusively kept us cool between trips to the Surf Hut, Back Porch, Pepito's, and Pompano Joes. Lots of shopping and dining choices very nearby.Especially enjoyed during the hottest part of the day were the TV, streaming, and Wifi entertainment readily available. We are multi-return visitors here and always are impressed by the cleanliness and maintenance evident throughout the home. The house is ready for small children to adults with a fully equipped kitchen. It was great to have the security of a garage with remote in an gated community, close to the beach.A great visit to paradise, and we felt refreshed returning to the rat race when the vacation was over.

We enjoyed our stay on August 10-17th 2019! The house was clean and had plenty of towels and amenities! We enjoyed the pool!! It was a short walk to the beach!!! We didn’t get to explore too many things since my hubby hurt his knee the night we left so he was confined to the house and only could do the pool!!! We are looking forward to returning next year!!!

My family and I have stayed at this property several times and it never disappoints. The house is immaculately maintained, tastefully and comfortably furnished, and extremely well stocked. My three boys absolutely love the gorgeous private pool and all the beach toys available for our use. The house is walking distance to the beach and near great restaurants and shopping. The owners are great to work with and make every effort to ensure their guests have a fantastic experience. We plan to return as often as we can. I would highly recommend this rental.

As a family of 8 with kids' ages ranging from 2-15, we have been searching for the ideal Florida rental for a few years now. This is defiantly it! A beautiful property in a super location. Easy access to everything and the owners provide enough amenities to enable you to start your vacation immediately on arrival. The owners communications were top notch as were all furnishings, the bedding in particular! The private pool is such an amazing option to have at your disposal to just lounge in into the evening. We had a party of ten and nobody ever felt cramped or intruded on. I'd recommend it in a second!
