As of my knowledge cutoff in 2021, Cape Coral had a population of around 200,000 people, making it one of the largest cities in Southwest Florida. The city has a relatively low population density due to its large land area, and it has a diverse mix of people of various ages and backgrounds.

Cape Coral is often referred to as a "Waterfront Wonderland" because of its extensive canal system.
