If Hemingway traveled north of Key West, he surely would have enjoyed this Destin beach cottage, reminiscent of what you might find in the keys. This lovely vacation home would be a place after his own heart. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach; surrounded by the unique shady oaks that Northwest Florida is known for; wrapped in several peaceful porches and has a private pool in the large backyard. We think this wonderful cottage will have you coming back for more.

This home makes it so easy to enjoy what we came here for—the relaxation and beauty of some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. It is ideally located in the Crystal Beach area near The Destin Commons, grocery stores, award-winning restaurants and many recreational activities nearby. It’s location in Kokomo Cove has dedicated neighborhood beach access and is adjacent to the bike trail that runs along the beach and meets up with shops and eateries.

While it’s true that the locale of Hemingway’s Hideout is fantastic, this beach vacation rental is more than just a dot on the map! Apart from an eclectic and attractive coastal décor, it has a modern kitchen stocked with all you’ll need for a culinary adventure. There are high-end kitchen appliances enough to fulfill any chef's dream. There is a full laundry room and flat screen TVs in each room. It’s not so big you need a map to navigate but feels very open and airy with 10’ ceilings on the main level. Moreover, the top floor is accessible via a spiral staircase and has a wonderful 360 degree balcony that offers beautiful views of sunsets over Crystal Beach and a partial Gulf view. The backyard is also poetic. A large private pool is surrounded by plush outdoor furnishings, and a grill. In fact, don’t be surprised if you feel like living a short story of your own as you bask in this sunny oasis.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

This property comes with 3 parking spaces.

There are several pool towels provided for your stay but must remain in the vacation rental and not be taken home.

This pool can be heated between October- April for a fee upon request to our office. There is an additional charge for heating requests within 48 hours of check-in.

We may require a minimum length of stay during the spring, summer and over holidays.
