In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy clicks her heels three times and says, “There’s no place like home.” Those words reflect the feelings of most of us about where we live. Home is more than a place. Home is a feeling.My wife and I spent 3 months in this villa in the Emerald Bay Community, and we truly felt as if we were home. The villa looks exactly as it does in the listing, which, in a word, is amazing. This villa is an end unit bungalow, which was perfect for us. We spent many hours in the lanai at the side of the house, enjoying the garden and the birds in the area, as well as, reading, and most importantly, enjoying the sunshine in a peaceful spot.The appliances in the kitchen were brand new and of excellent quality, and the kitchen is well stocked with everything that you might need to enjoy home-cooked meals. The kitchen eating area was a wonderful place to enjoy our meals, and felt like home. The formal dining room is also beautiful, and offers another option for meals.The great room was amazing … well lit with a large screen television, a very comfortable love seat and sofa, and like the rest of the villa, decorated beautifully.The master bedroom, walk-in closet, and ensuite were spacious, and beautifully decorated. We took advantage of the owners’ suggestion and enjoyed our showers in the second bathroom so we could open the window (that started at our neck level so we wouldn’t frighten the neighbours) and enjoy the Florida sunshine on our faces as we showered. Such a treat!The owners have taken great care to make this villa spectacular , comfortable, and homey. Any issue was dealt with immediately and we were very appreciative of their wish to make our stay as wonderful as possible.The Emerald Bay community is a community. People are friendly and many are out walking, jogging, or riding their bicycles every day. The two pools were also enjoyed by many of the residents for swimming and aquafit. Events like BBQ’s, BINGO, and special interest events such as a calligraphy class are open to all.For those who are interested in shopping, fashion, dining out, and enjoying the arts, all of these are a short drive from the villa, at Mercato and in downtown Naples. Grocery shopping is nearby.Although “there is no place like home”, this feeling of home is alive in the Emerald Bay Community. We’d like to click our heels and be back at the villa right now!
