DOLPHINS, BEACHFRONT CORNER UNIT, POOLS & SHELLS: what more could you ask for?

Spend a month or two in this 2nd-floor corner unit with a fantastic view of the Gulf. Watch the dolphins from the lanai or soak up some sunshine on the open balcony. Not ready to get out of bed? You can watch the waves from the comfort of your bed. The great room offers a spectacular view of the gulf, whether you're in the kitchen, sitting at the table or relaxing on the couch.
Go for a stroll on the beach and dip your toes in the Gulf. You might encounter bonnethead sharks, starfish, horseshoe crabs, dolphins or a manatee. You don't have to travel to other areas to look for seashells. Fort Myers Beach boasts a diverse selection of high-quality seashells.
Take a swim in one of the two heated outdoor pools, relax in the hot tub or grill up lunch on one of the three poolside gas grills. The condo has a fully stocked spice carousel to season your dishes. If you prefer to stay indoors, there's a Ninja indoor grill.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can try the supplied inflatable kayak or the inflatable paddleboard for exploring. Several companies also deliver rental kayaks or paddleboards if you prefer. Perhaps fishing is more your style, fish off the private pier located across Estero Blvd or on the beach with the supplied fishing tackle. You never know what will be on the end of the line.
We have an onsite tennis court across Estero Blvd. Rackets and balls are available in the storage unit for 205.

Unique Benefits

The view is remarkable. On the lanai, you have a front row seat to witness the beauty of a Florida sunrise and sunset. Manatees and dolphins travel the waters within view of the lanai. I have found the best shells on the shoreline right in front of the unit. If you enjoy fishing, I have caught bonnethead shark, snook, sheepshead, black drum, red fish, sting ray, mullet and catfish from our private pier across Estero Blvd and in the waters by the condo. The unit has a dual coffee maker for pods or a pot of coffee. Need help opening a jar? There is a mounted jar/bottle opener under the cabinet. A large stock pot and all of the utensils you need for a seafood boil is available. Enjoy fresh fruit from the farmer's market at Santini Plaza, the kitchen is stocked with a pineapple corer/slicer, apple corer/slicer and melon slicer or enjoy a refreshing smoothie using the supplied blender.

Area Information

The unit is located at the south end of the island. If you're looking for a less populated and quiet place to lay your head after a day of sightseeing and exploring, this is the rental for you.
The condo is steps away from the Gulf of Mexico. Dolphins are often seen traveling back and forth from Big Carlos Pass to the Gulf in front of the unit. They will chase and corral prey mere feet from the water's edge. It's a spectacular opportunity to observe the dolphins' hunting techniques.
Lover's Key is a short drive from the condo. You can head to Bonita Springs or Estero for supper or a game of mini golf.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

The beach is within walking distance. It is in your backyard. Dolphins...I have seen dolphins on every visit. You can sit on the lanai and watch them. You can go to our private fishing pier across Estero Blvd and see dolphins and the occasional manatee. Shell hunting...find a variety of shells where you are or travel to Captiva and Sanibel.

Favorite Places To Eat

For casual dining, The Island's Pancake House is my go-to for breakfast. If you're unsure about what to eat and you're looking for budget-friendly options, the Sunflower Cafe offers a variety of food choices for breakfast, dinner, and supper.
For casual fine dining, I suggest Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House. If you have only tried Gulf oysters, you should try their selection of Atlantic oysters. Fresh Catch Bistro and Flippers, an open-air restaurant, have unique food offerings. To satisfy your sweet tooth go to Sweet Licks in Santani Plaza or Sweet Melissa's in Bonita Springs.
Travel outside of Fort Myers Beach to the Watermark Grille in Naples for a variety of delicious options. The Pewter Mug, in Naples, has the best salad bar and a flavorful prime rib. The pizza at Leoni's or Doc's Beach House is phenomenal. Looking for a steak? Connors Steak and Seafood in Fort Myers is the place to be.

Inside Scoop

If you generally do all your grocery shopping the day you arrive, I suggest using the delivery option from Walmart. I order everything I need the night before, and I select an early or late evening delivery time when traffic is not bad so your delivery arrives in a timely fashion. The delivery fee is a small price to pay to avoid traffic and crowds. If you want to venture to the north end of the island, I suggest exiting the south end and working your way back around. Peak season traffic is often at a standstill for minutes to hours. Plan accordingly if making reservations to one of the restaurants on the North end.
