Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: I'm a retired NASA Engineer who grew up in Miami and spent a lot of my youth in the Keys. I have great memories of fishing and diving with my family and friends. I bought the home in 2010 and renovated it shortly thereafter. The pool was added in 2019. I still love my trips to the Keys and do all I can to keep the house modern and updated and beautiful for the guests. There is a local property manager who lives in Big Pine so if ever an emergency should come up somebody can be there quickly
Why this property? Beautiful inside and out. Close to everything while still being in a nice quiet safe neighborhood. Rental price below average for a pool home of this quality.

Keys house
We just completed our month long rental and what a wonderful home. We loved the layout of the home, pool and location. We look forward to renting next year if possible and appreciate how attentive Rich was in dealing with the property. Thank you! Kathy C

Our Favorite Place to be!
Every year we (two 50+ couples) travel to the Keys in search of adventure and relaxation. We have been guests at Mr. Romanella’s home for 6 years now and could not imagine staying anywhere else! We tried five other rental homes before and would not consider changing! The home is remarkably comfy and quite beautifully appointed. Our wives love the kitchen and the wraparound deck. We guys love the canal front boat access and the complete functionality of the place. It is the ideal location. A short drive to Key West to spend the day being weird, and then return home to peace and quiet. There are also a multitude of dining opportunities in a very short trip radius. This place is managed expertly and a delight to experience and deal with. We are big fans and can’t wait to get back!

Great Location and Wonderful owner to deal with.
My family along with another couple stayed at this property several times in the last 4 years. We brought two boats and two trailers and had room for parking all vehicles and trailers. We did not need to bring anything the home has all the bells and whistles along with pots and pans. If you have a family with smaller children you can walk a couple of blocks to the Big Pine Community Park. Plenty of boat boat dockage and tie downs for both boats. We would come in off the water and have a large covered cleaning table to clean your catch of the day along with a deep freezer down stairs for your bait and ice. The large remodeled kitchen was great to cook in and TVs in every room including the kitchen. The house Is well maintained and cleaned. The pool was being installed the last time we were there. We loved staying here so much that we moved to the keys this year. If you want a relaxing, safe property to enjoy and animals that come to visit( deers) daily while on vacation this is it. The owners of the property are great. The first time we stayed the A/C stopped working it was around 7-8 pm. They had an A/C guy there within the hour to fix it. I recommend this property to anyone with kids or no kids. Great for group of adults if you are on a kids. Seniors of you are looking for a safe quiet home for your winter this is it.

Paradise
Absolutely Fantastic! We love the Beautifully decorated and spacious home that we rented for July 2020. Plenty of seawall space for our boat and a fish cleaning station rite there on the canal. We love the idea of just hopping in the boat and within minutes we are on open water. The house has everything you will need for a month long stay. We love the open concept kitchen and dining room. In the evening we watched the skies turn orange as the sun sets enjoying a beverage on the patio that wraps around the two story house. The pool is amazing and so refreshing. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back again next year!
