About this rental
This is a two bedroom house on Anna Maria island, and faces the bay side. The water is literally 20 ft from your back door. Looking from your private dock to the north is the Manatee bridge, the Skyway bridge and a view of St Pete. Looking to the south you see the Cortez bridge and beyond to Sarasota. And just across Anna Maria Sound is the village of Cortez, the oldest fishing village in the state. The house is at the end of a dead end street and quiet. Inside we have a big screen tv, washer/dryer, full kitchen, king and queen size beds. The dock is yours to use, and the fishing is not bad, at least for the dolphin I see out there all the time. Also we have had several Manatee with pups feeding just off the dock.
Unique Benefits
The house is at the end of a dead end street and is peaceful and quiet. If you like the night life it is just a two minute walk to the Wicked Cantina bar & restaurant, across the street is the KoKo Hut bar & restaurant, both have music. There is also a tiny Saloon before you get to either of those. There are shops, restaurants & bars on Bridge Street. Just a ten minute walk to downtown Bradenton Beach. We also have one of the greatest Moose Clubs in the country with better drink prices and right on the beach. The end of the dock relaxing with a glass of wine is where I usually go and watch the sun go down or with my coffee watching it come up. The view, the serenity, the wild life, the night life are all reasons I recommend you stay at Manatee Cove. Like the old commercial said: "TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT"! Well actually you'll LOVE IT!
Why Kids Love It
The house is in a quiet neighborhood with mostly retired people at the end of the street. Children are NOT recommended.
Area Information
The house is two minute walk to a saloon, mexican restaurant, and the Gulf drive cafe and tiki bar. And of course, the Beach. Bradenton Beach is a small town and you won't find a "McDs", we like our small town stores and fooderies. There is a free trolley that runs the island, and the "Monkey Bus" which will take you anywhere for tips. It takes about ten minutes to walk to Bridge Street, where you can dine, shop, play mini-golf, or have a drink. Rental companies are close by, with anything from bicycles, to boats and everything in between. There is now a water taxi from downtown Bradenton down the Manatee River to Anna Maria Iland and back for $10. Having just used it I can tell you it is alot better than waiting in traffic to go either way.

About the owner: My family bought the property many years ago and my lived there until her passing. We all love this place and I know you will as well.
Why this property? This house is close to bars, restaurants, shopping, and the beach. That's all just a short walk away. The house is on a dead end street and quiet, but at the other end of the street is a giant Tiki Hut with music and dancing. We have our own dock, and THE BEST VIEW on the island!!!

Manatee Cove
Great location. Great view. Great everything! Can't wait to come back. Terry is great and we appreciate the work that went in to the clean up after Hurricane Ian so we could fall in love with this place. I want to keep it a secret! Can't wait to come back!

wonderfully located gem!
The location is AMAZING! We saw dolphins by the dock multiple times! The owner was equally as AMAZING. He was SO very kind, said he'd do something & did what he said. Absolutely LOVED our stay & can't wait to come back! We've been visiting the island for 5+ years & rarely stay in the same place more than one - we WILL definitely be looking to stay here again, and again, and again!!! Just loved it!

Peaceful retreat
Excellent little house in a great location. Steps from the beautiful beach and lively restaurants, but still a calm and quiet place of your own, with a gorgeous view over the bay. The owner, Terry, was easy to communicate with, and he met us on our arrival at the house. No problems with anything during our visit, but we knew he was just a phone call away if needed. Nice beds, good supply of nice towels, a well-stocked kitchen and a kayak....what more do you need?

Peaceful retreat
My husband and son and I stayed in this home for 4 nights in early January 2021.Terry the owner was a great communicator from my first inquiry about the house. He answered emails and phone calls, and returned our security deposit on the day we checked out. He met us at the home and showed us around, explaining how things like the TV remote etc worked. The house itself is just right and has lots of character -- a great size for both bedrooms and bathrooms, nice living room with plenty of comfy seating and a gorgeous view out onto the water. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes etc. Linens were good, especially the bath towels which were good quality. The outdoor space was our favorite; there's a spacious patio and of course, the dock where we loved to sit and read and keep an eye out for wildlife visitors, and we enjoyed using Terry's kayak out in the bay. Lots of restaurants and little shops just down the street, and of course, also the gorgeous beaches of Anna Maria Island. Probably a 2 or 3 minute walk takes you over to the sand. We will have to return in warmer weather to this lovely little house. Thanks, Terry!
