Peaceful Parrot and Parakeet

As you enter the front door, you’ll find yourself immediately in the comfortable and spacious living room, furnished in the soothing colors of sand and sea. Drop into one of the cozy armchairs or curl up on the sofa to stream your favorite show, movie, or anticipated sporting event on TV w/WiFi. A ceiling fan keeps things cool.

The Florida room looks over the privacy fenced backyard and offers upgraded lounge furniture. Bring out your book, or your mobile device, and maybe even a tall glass of lemonade to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Cooking and Dining

We hope you enjoy cooking! The kitchen has been thoughtfully updated with all the most popular amenities. You’ll find stainless steel appliances, including a French-door refrigerator, solid-surface counters, and a lovely coordinated tile backsplash. With plenty of cabinet and counter space as well, there’s no doubt the kitchen will be well-loved during your stay. A convenient peninsula bar seats 3.

The dining room offers the opportunity to bring back the tradition of a family dinner. With a natural beadboard ceiling and seating for 4, you’ll enjoy a warm and welcoming vibe in a space that naturally invites you to linger over after-dinner conversation.

Sleeping Accommodations and Bathrooms

There are a total of 3 bedrooms. The Peaceful Parrot offers two bedrooms with a shared full bath. The first bedroom features a queen bed, with plenty of storage for your clothes and luggage, and a ceiling fan.

The second bedroom has a daybed-style double bed, with built in storage and coordinating decor in soothing colors. The shared bathroom has a tub/shower.

The Parakeet features its own private bedroom (the 3rd bedroom), a bath with a walk-in shower and the washer/dryer.

Gulfport has been called a lot of things, but boring isn’t one of them! It has been referred to, in no particular order, funky, eclectic, artsy, charming, progressive, welcoming, warm, and even weird. It proudly accepts all of it!

The downtown is small, but exceptionally welcoming. You won’t find any chain stores, or parking meters, but you will find beautiful old oak trees dripping in Spanish moss. And you will definitely find small-town friendliness and warmth.

Beach and Shore Boulevards are at the heart and soul of the historic downtown area, which is directly situated on scenic Boca Ciega Bay.

Those downtown shops are all independently owned and operated and feature works of local artists and artisans, as well as clothes, books, gifts, home decor, and more.

A concentration of more than a dozen restaurants in the village has made Gulfport a premier dining destination. You can find anything from a burger to find dining.

The owners of this property are New England natives, who visited Gulfport in 2020 and then found this gem while they were on vacation and bought it on the spot! The home is charming and has been expanded to include a dedicated dining room and a Florida room. The detached building has been converted to a separate living space with a bathroom and laundry and christened The Parakeet.

Reservations require the completion of a signed rental agreement including your credit card details within 48 hours of booking or before arrival, whichever is earlier. Pets welcome with additional fee. You are entering into an agreement with Splashy Ventures/Gulfport Florida and Splashy is the merchant of record for rent, taxes and fees.

At the edge of the Marina district, enjoy easy access to the water from this unique property. The Peaceful Parrot is a 2BR, 1BA home, and the Parakeet is a separate 1BR, 1BA cottage. It’s the perfect arrangement for friends or family traveling together but still seeking privacy. They are not rented separately.

The Peaceful Parrot has gone through two expansions and now offers both a dedicated dining room and a Florida room. Since vacations should include all family members, your pet is welcome to join in the fun here.
