For the overall value of the stay, it's hard to give this anything but 4-5 stars. The house, like most vacation rentals, wasn't perfect, but we'd definitely stay here again. The owners were unobtrusive but live nearby and keep an eye on the place. It was clean throughout, no bedbugs, no ants or anything of that nature. We were comfortable and safe, and they even put up Christmas lights.The good: -Relatively quiet location, bayfront and a short walk to public beach on gulf side, several restaurants nearby...felt safe walking the neighborhood in the evenings and relatively low traffic (stayed in the off-season) -Roomy place, full kitchen, 3 baths, 3 bedrooms, and a couple of futons -Excellent views of the intracoastal (saw dolphins a few times, lots of cormorants, pelicans, and gulls hang out on the docks) -Tile floors throughout, worked well with the dog -Space for 2 vehicles in the garage (we fit 2 minivans) -Owner checked a few times if we needed anything and brought us extra sheets and replaced a broken iron -Appliances were higher end (big washer/dryer, double-oven, etc.) -Bird sanctuary within walking distance, turtle and bird sanctuary/park only a short drive -Less than 30 mins to Fort De Soto park, which has an off-leash dog beach ($5 parking for the day) -Trolley runs up and down Gulf Blvd for cheap/easy access to Clearwater (shopping, restaurants, beaches, waterslides, etc.); trolley stop just past the driveway. -Playground a short walk up the roadWe noticed a few minor issues, such as: -Some of the appliances need attention (burnt out bulbs, missing/broken tray fronts in the fridge door, broken ice dispenser, etc.) -Plumbing leak from upstairs guest shower resulted in some water dripping from the ceiling on the kitchen floor, misc. loose plumbing fixtures, etc. -Some areas of the building are showing their age (loose chunks of stucco on the balconies, that sort of thing); not a big deal, could just use some minor renovations in a few areas -Mattresses past their prime in terms of comfort -Some of the balcony doors are difficult to open/close, locks/latches need adjusting, etc. -Pool table is unplayable and needs a major overhaul -Would have been handy to get a garage remote...instead you have to stand there and hold the button on the wall, and walk out/lock the main entrance, which is a hassle when you are trying to leave or come home.

As I opened the doors the staircase sparkled, it was emaculate! As I walked up the first flight I was greeted by an Amazing view of the ocean n a white marble fire place.. and a the granite counter tops in the kitchen and the front patio with the beach in front and the strip with couples walking and enjoying life.....then I walked up the second staircase to the master bedroom which also overlooked the water......I saw dolphins in the moonlight! I highly recommend this vacation home! It was AMAZING!

This property is a 3 stories Pet Friendly townhouse with stunning view to bay . You could see dolphin about 4 PM . 3 minutes from the beach . Owner lives about 2 minutes away , very responsive .Bed needs an upgrade .
