Area Information

Very Safe Neighborhood. This neighborhood is considered by far the nicest in St. Petersburg and one of the nicest in Florida.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

Many people walk, jog, bike in this neighborhood. You will be looking directly at downtown from the backyard. Several guests have walked, jogged or biked from this home to downtown. I personally prefer to Uber, but since i am local, and not on vacation, i am limited on time. When our family jogs or bikes, we do so from this location. You can see North Shore Park across the water. There is a world class competitive pool that routinely holds swim meets at North Shore. There is also a "splash" pool with two large slides for kids. There are tennis courts and on the beach, there are many volleyball courts. Downtown is full of restaurants (recently ranked as #1 City in US for Foodies, but no French Restaurant#@#$%$#@!). There is plenty of nightlife including music and theater venues. There are three museums and a muti screen movie theater. Many guests have come for the Sailing Regattas.

Favorite Places To Eat

Too many great restaurants to name. I am happy to provide guidance dependent upon your dining preferences. But i would start with Beach Drive which means i narrowed it down to about 20 LOL. There are many other options besides Beach Drive, but i feel everyone should start with Beach Drive and if they have time, try some of the other local spots such as Urban Stillhouse Restaurant.
