A $1000.00 reservation deposit is required to book the home. This reservation deposit turns into a refundable damage deposit once the rental fee is paid in full 150 days from check-in.
All rates include a cleaning fee
Rates do not include 12% Florida and Gulf County tax
Dogs are welcome at Sweet Necessity for a fee of $160+12% Florida tax for each dog. Some breeds are not allowed.
Pool Heat is available from March to November. The rate to heat the pool is $375 +12% Florida tax per week.
A mid-stay clean is required for guests staying more than 25 nights

In the event, of a cancellation, all monies paid are nonrefundable unless the week is rebooked at the same rate
All properties have a strict NO SMOKING POLICY.
There is NO SMOKING anywhere on the property. This includes cigarettes, vapes, cigars, marijuana, and any other smoking devices. Please do not inquire about my homes if any member of your group smokes.

About the owner: Our family lives in Atlanta, Georgia. We love visiting Cape San Blas. The relaxed atmosphere and beauty of the area keep us coming back year after year.
We visited Cape San Blas for the first time in 2001 and immediately fell in love. The water was perfect, the beaches weren't crowded and we could bring our dog. We especially like the North end of Cape San Blas because it is especially quiet. The amazing T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is so close to the house and the dune structure on that beach is like none you have ever seen.
Carrie will be managing your stay at Sweet Necessity and she can be a bit of a perfectionist. That's a bonus for you, as she promises to do all she can to make your time at Cape San Blas absolutely wonderful.

My husband 3 sons and there significant others, plus dogs stayed a week. This vacation was a long time coming. It’s been a while since we have all been able to be in one place. The house was beautiful. Right on the beach. The balconies overlooked the beautiful water. Very clean. Everything you need down to beach chairs. The whole area is very pet friendly. Apalachicola, Port. St. Joe, Cape San Blas. We got to bring dogs to beach. They loved it. Bonfires on the beach. We hope to go back next year and stay here again . Such wonderful new memories.

My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary and decided to rent Sweet Necessity and share our love for Florida with our family. Everyone that came were blown away by our gift to them. Sweet Necessity was perfect in what we wanted our family to enjoy. The home gave us everything we needed to for our 7 monthold great grandchild to our 24 year old grandson to our 38 year old son and family! Sitting and watching the sunset with my daughter on the upper deck was like heaven! The great pool for the grandkids was a hit and the excess to the beach was fantastic!! The Cape was a quaint area with fantastic people...deffinately recomend Skully's Low Country Boil...a real hit with our family!! Can't wait to return and stay here or Good Fortune...thank you Carrie for making our 40th anniversary trip such a fantastic hit!!

We travel annually from Canada and have rented many homes on the Cape. We had the pleasure of being the first renters of the newly built Sweet Necessity! This is one of the nicest properties we have rented. You can tell that Carrie, the owner, and her family have built a rental homes before and have put their years of experience into this home. The design is fantastic, open floor plan on the upper level where family and friends can enjoy the dining, kitchen and lounging area all with great beach views. Each room gives each guest the feeling of privacy and the mid floor lounge is a nice touch. Tastefully decorated for a true beach house feel. The elevator is a nice touch but the window filled stairwell is fantastic. The pool area is perfect, our girls enjoyed daily and the beach is a few steps away. We towed our boat along for our vacation and the boat ramp is 5 minutes up the road with easy access to St Joes Bay. From the two dishwashers to the beach towels for your dog Sweet Necessity has had a lot of thought put into it! Thank you to Carrie and family for the great rental experience! Eric and family.
