The backyard is fully fenced in and it includes a mesh at the bottom of the fence. Only a leisurely 15-minute drive separates you from both the beautiful beach and the vibrant delights of Downtown Delray, where you’ll find an array of shops, galleries, and restaurants, accessible via scenic, unhurried routes. Just 5 minutes away lies the renowned Boys Farmers Market, a local treasure offering organic and unique products, as well as mouthwatering prepared foods.

For nature enthusiasts, the captivating Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands beckons a mere 8 minutes away, while the tranquil Morikami Japanese Gardens await your visit just 12 minutes from this charming abode.

Unique Benefits

Wonderful location in Delray. While you will need a car, everything is close. Some of my previous guests liked going to the beach and downtown Delray, others came for golf. Yet others stayed 2 weeks in the backyard around the pool and rarely went anywhere!... they said that it felt very comfortable. One couple came for the equestrian events in Wellington. Young people went to Fort Lauderdale to the arena. If you’re adventurous, World Disney World is 2hrs and 40 mins away. Palm Beach and Miami are easy day trips. Use Boys Marketplace in Delray Beach for travel times.

Area Information

12 minutes to The beach in Delray. 14 minutes to the beach in Boynton with a free parking lot and park are. Google Gulfstream park.

3 minutes to Walmart Organics and 4 minutes to Boys Farmers Market. Boys is a very well known name here, as people come all the way from Boca and Boynton to shop for fresh groceries, deli, fish and even prepared/hot food.

In opposite direction, going west, you have:

6 minutes to the walking trails of Wakodahadchee wetlands. And 8 minutes to the Green Cay nature center. These are long boardwalks through nature and bird habitats, and never crowded.

Then you are 16 minutes from Morikami park where you can walk as well. If you wish, you can enter the museum area as well to enjoy the Japanese gardens. Or you can stay outside and just walk the trails.

Restaurants: best area in Boca/Delray/Ft Lauderdale is Atlantic Avenue from Swinton to the beach. 12 mins from the house. There is talk now to stop traffic on Atlantic to allow the restaurants to put more tables on the sidewalk, and push the pedestrian traffic on the street. Downtown Delray is the place you walk day or night to browse restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, ice cream stores, cafes, bars and live music. And look at the parade of cars.

There are plenty of restaurants also in the shopping plazas around the house. Mamma Mia is an Italian restaurant w nice decor, 5 mins from the house. Also 5 mins opposite direction Chinese. There are so many that I’ve never been to.
