About the host: We are thirty year residence of the greater Sarasota Area. Originally from Maine we moved to Sarasota Florida when we decided to change our lifestyle and focus more on family and the important things in life. While we don't plan to retire for several more years, we bought this unit with plans to make it our permanent home upon retirement. We love the location and the Bay and Marina Views. There is plenty of boat action during the day and at night the view is stunning with the sparkle from those living on their boats and the surrounding residents. And oh... the sunrises. Spectacular doesn't do them justice. There is no place better to have that first cup of coffee, watch the glorious sunrise appear and listen to the sounds of the world awakening around you.
Why this property? We chose this property because of the interior space layout, size (over 1700 s.f.) and flexibility. It is truly the best location on the Gulf Coast, putting you within minutes of beautiful downtown Sarasota, the world's most beautiful beaches, and the best of the Tampa Bay area. Boosting 2 bedrooms and a den, the view, complex amenities (pool, fitness, tennis, on-site restaurant)and proximity to shopping, beaches, and entertainment are unparalleled. When we retire we do plan to travel and hope to do so through "house swaps". We know that this will be an enticing property to many and should also open our options up regarding places to travel to.
