Best Sunset Spot That Tourists Often Miss
Instead of watching the sunset from the main beach access, walk south along the shoreline toward South Lido. The crowds thin out dramatically, and you'll often have long stretches of beach almost to yourself. Locals love the quieter atmosphere and incredible photo opportunities.
The Hidden Mangrove Tunnels
One of Sarasota's best-kept secrets is kayaking through the mangrove tunnels at Ted Sperling Park. Kids love looking for crabs, fish, birds, and sometimes even manatees. Many visitors spend their entire vacation at the beach and never discover this unique Florida ecosystem.
The Local Lunch Spot
While St. Armands Circle is full of great restaurants, locals often sneak away to New Pass Grill & Bait Shop for a casual waterfront breakfast or lunch. It's been serving visitors and residents for generations and feels like "Old Florida" before Sarasota became a major destination.
Dolphin Watching Without a Boat Tour
Walk to the north end of Lido Key Beach during the early morning or around sunset. Locals know this is one of the better spots to watch dolphins feeding near shore, especially when baitfish are running.
The Perfect Evening Routine
A favorite local tradition is grabbing ice cream at St. Armands Circle after dinner, then taking a sunset stroll on the beach. Since the Circle is only minutes from the beach, it's easy to combine both into one memorable evening.
Early Morning Beach Walks
Locals will tell you that Lido Beach is at its best before 9 a.m. The sand is cool, wildlife is active, and you'll often spot pelicans diving, shorebirds feeding, and shell hunters finding treasures before the crowds arrive.
Skip the Parking Hassle
Many visitors don't realize they can use the Bay Runner trolley between downtown Sarasota, St. Armands Circle, and Lido Beach. It's a great way to avoid parking and enjoy the scenery.
A Secret Photo Spot
For one of the best views in Sarasota, stop near Hart's Landing on the Ringling Causeway around sunset. You'll get spectacular views of Sarasota Bay, downtown, and the boats coming in for the evening—without the crowds found at more famous photo locations.

SpencerAmazing home, location and host. Jennifer was very accommodating and helpful throughout our trip. St Armands Circle is the best location to be at. A short walk away from lido beach, some of the best restaurants and shops right outside your door and if you are lucky the art festival or Cars & Coffee will be going on during the weekend. Its great to be able to walk anywhere or hop in a car and a short drive gets you to beautiful Longboat Key or downtown Sarasota.

Karen S.We love this house and the convenient location near Lido Beach and St. Armands. tFrom the huge, beautiful kitchen to the five bedrooms, to the five full baths and two powder rooms to the pool and patio area, this house has it all! Our family keeps asking when we are going back!

Kirsty H.What a stunning house! We had the best family vacation at this st armands dream house. The house was immaculate upon arrival. There were 2 pack and plays provided as requested for the 2 babies. Location of the house is amazing! Could easily walk to the beach and also to the circle for food, drinks or ice cream! Pool area and outdoor space was amazing! Host was very friendly and was very quick to answer any questions we had. Would highly recommend this house for your vacation. We’re already dreaming of our next visit! Thanks again!

Bryan T.This home is gorgeous! The photos don’t do it justice. It is spacious and light with beautiful furnishings and decor. Truly a home away from home with everything you need. Jennifer was so responsive, helpful, and attentive to our every need. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. The fencing around the pool was perfect with our two one-year-old grandbabies. We will certainly stay here again!

AnonymousWe had a wonderful stay at this home. The listing drew us to this vacation destination…but the house was more than we expected! Beautiful home and very well maintained. So much to do in the area, but staying in for a pool day was perfect also! Can’t say enough about our time there. We will definitely come back!

AnonymousWe are a group of 10 college friends who vacation together annually. (Did I say we have known each other 50 years?) This home met all our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The location to Saint Armand’s is ideal as well as the close proximity to the beach. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful, including the management and the cleaning crew. This is definitely on our list when we return.
