About this rental
This luxurious home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is part of Sunrise Beach Resort, an exclusive gated community built in 2007 with only 10 other homes. We are 80 feet the water's edge facing Southwest. Lounge in your private hammock or enjoy the gorgeous tropical landscaping and cool breezes on one of two balconies, dock or poolside, where you can soak up the sun steps from the house. Breathtaking southwest views of the blue-green ocean and sunsets can be seen from either balcony.
Your boat, up to 25 feet, can be kept at the dock for your entire stay in the calm waters directly behind the house. I pay for you to store your trailer off-site at Cudjoe Gardens Marina where the closest ramp is. Looe Key is an amazing reef 45 minutes by boat where you’ll find the most beautiful snorkeling and diving reefs in the keys. American Shoal Reef can be seen from the house five miles offshore, with the excellent fishing, snorkeling and diving. Fish or kayak right off the end of the dock or you can venture out to experience the history and action in Key West located only 17 miles away. In the immediate area you’ll find several very good restaurants, a gym/wellness center, and Cudjoe Garden’s Marina, a full service marina offering boat rentals. The only 18-hole miniature golf course in the keys is located 15 minutes away. Bahia Honda State Park and the Dolphin Research Center, which offers dolphin encounters, are other area attractions.

You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay. A security deposit of $250 will be collected and refunded promptly after cleaning fee is left for housekeeping and no damage reported.

About the owner: My wife and I are retired and enjoy travelling and our visits to stay right here in the lower keys. We love the peaceful area, nice homes and beautiful waters.
Why this property? We vacationed in the keys several times a year staying in various chain hotels and mom and pop boutique hotels for many years. Then we found this home for sale on Cudjoe Key, the perfect location in our opinion. Fortunately, it is also one of the lucky few home allowed to rent on a weekly basis. Most homes have a 28 day minimum by law.

We recently spent a few nights at this lovely Florida Keys home. The house is even nicer in person than the photos show. It was incredibly open, clean, well stocked and in a perfect location for a combination of low-key and relaxing downtime, and all the fun that Key West brings. The beds were comfortable, and having three bathrooms was a big plus.There are a few things that would have made our trip/the house even better. The pillows were not very comfortable. The bikes were all quite rusty so we did not use them. There is no full length mirror in the house. There are no games at the house other than Dominos & cards, so bring your own if that is something you like to do. There are quite a few jellyfish in the water, so paddle boarding was not really an option, though that is certainly not the owner’s fault.

I am glad you enjoyed your trip and will take note of the pillow comment. We do replace pillows periodically, but I guess not in this unit yet. As for the rusty bicycles, had you tried them you would have found that despite their surface rust, all brakes, seats and steering worked, and tires were inflated to spec. Keeping bikes looking new is a challenge near salt air as anyone spending time in the Keys will confirm. All six bicycles available ae less than 2 years old.
