1195 sq. ft. This luxurious home overlooking Cudjoe Bay on the Atlantic Ocean is part of Sunrise Beach Resort, an exclusive gated community built in 2007 with 11 total homes. This is #107 and I also rent 109 and 111 in case you need more than one. We are 140 feet from the water's edge facing Southwest. Lounge in your private hammock or enjoy the gorgeous tropical landscaping and cool breezes from the balconies or poolside. Key West is 17 miles away. Your 25’ boat may also dock here.
The $250 cleaning fee is not collected with your reservation but is required. You are asked to leave it inside the home upon departure for the housekeeper. To be clear, this $250 is in addition to the other rental costs and taxes that are collected from you upon booking.

This is a stand-alone home just for you with breathtaking southwest views of the blue-green ocean and sunsets, private bbq and outdoor seating/dining.
Your boat, up to 25 feet, can be kept at the dock for your entire stay in the calm waters directly behind the house. I pay for you to store your trailer off-site.
The common areas of the community are under surveillance by security cameras. These cameras cover the dock space, pool, beach, driveway, front gate, and sections of the carports. There are no cameras within the homes, and the cameras are not monitored in real time. They are used exclusively for reviewing incidents after they occur.
While there are hourly buses to Key West to South and Marathon Key to North, a car is highly recommended.
Looe Key and American Shoal Reef can be seen from the house where you’ll find the most beautiful snorkeling and diving reefs in the keys along with excellent fishing. Fish or kayak right off the dock or you can venture out to experience the history and action in Key West located only 17 miles away. In the immediate area you’ll find several very good fine dining and casual restaurants, grocery, liquor store, and Cudjoe Garden’s Marina, a full-service marina offering boat rentals. The only 18-hole miniature golf course in the keys is located 15 minutes away. Bahia Honda State Park and the Dolphin Research Center, which offers dolphin encounters, are other area attractions 30 to 60 minutes away.

MindyMy husband and I traveled to John’s place with our adult son and his girlfriend. It was a perfect 3-night stay. Check-in was a breeze. John had communicated well and prepared us for every step from check-in to check-out.I appreciate how helpful and responsive he was even pre-trip when I would ask for recommendations for things such as where to stop for lunch between the Key West airport and Sunrise Beach Resort. We chose the ease of BubbLoos for lunch but took his suggestion of Geiger Fish Camp for breakfast when heading back for our return flight. The Fish Camp was definitely one of our favorites.The bikes and kayaks made the trip so much more enjoyable. The walking/biking path across the highway was great as well. And watching the sunsets from the dock…magnificent.We had initial reservations of staying 25 minutes or so from the heart of Key West. We all agreed after a day trip into Key West it was nice to retreat to our beachside oasis. We can’t wait to return!

KevinLoved the location between Key West and Marathon Key. Easy drive to get to many attractions. The condo was everything we hoped for. The pool is small but very quiet and heated. My daughter enjoyed reading poolside.This property is fabulous for viewing sunsets and going on morning kayaking trips. The fact that this property is free standing and shares no walls with adjacent condos makes it very peaceful in the evenings.I would definitely consider this property again if I return to the keys!!

Lindawe had a wonderful time at John's Cudjoe Key's house. It was exactly what we were looking for. Roomy for a family of 4, not too close to the busy touristy parts of town, but those were easy enough to get to. There was a small pool with chairs just outside our door, with kayaks right there so on the water within five minutes of walking out our door. Loads of balcony's to sit and sip a hot coffee or a cold beverage. Just all in all a wonderful place for peace and escape. John was a GREAT host, so easy and quick to communicate with!!! RhondaThe condo was in a good location for us to explore the lower keys. The beds were comfy and linens were clean. The new couch was comfy too. John was a good communicator and addressed a couple of mishaps we encountered quickly when the power went out due to a storm. The pool area was nice and we enjoyed sitting out there during the early evening. The beach area is small and there were a ton of jellyfish so we couldn’t swim in the ocean from the beach here.

The pool was a great way to spend time at the end of the day and the location is excellent for enjoying kayaking, paddle boarding and boating.

DanielleJohn was really great to work with, very responsive and helpful. We brought our own boat and the docks were really nice. The house was immaculate and just as described. It was nice to be close to key west but also far enough away when you wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle. Great spot and centrally located for some cool fishing and snorkeling spots. We even saw dolphins right in the bay coming back in from snorkeling.

He sent us very detailed instructions in advance notice of our trip with not just information for the house but info regarding restaurants and things to do in the area, which we appreciated very much! We recently spent a few nights at this lovely Florida Keys home. The house is even nicer in person than the photos show. It was incredibly open, clean, well stocked and in a perfect location for a combination of low-key and relaxing downtime, and all the fun that Key West brings. The beds were comfortable, and having three bathrooms was a big plus.There are a few things that would have made our trip/the house even better. The pillows were not very comfortable. The bikes were all quite rusty so we did not use them. There is no full length mirror in the house. There are no games at the house other than Dominos & cards, so bring your own if that is something you like to do. There are quite a few jellyfish in the water, so paddle boarding was not really an option, though that is certainly not the owner’s fault.

"I am glad you enjoyed your trip and will take note of the pillow comment. We do replace pillows periodically, but I guess not in this unit yet. As for the rusty bicycles, had you tried them you would have found that despite their surface rust, all brakes, seats and steering worked, and tires were inflated to spec. Keeping bikes looking new is a challenge near salt air as anyone spending time in the Keys will confirm. All six bicycles available ae less than 2 years old."
