This is the kind of beach house that works beautifully for multigenerational families. The adults each claim a king suite upstairs — both with private ensuite baths and their own balconies — while the kids pile into the loft with three twin beds and their own TV nook. Nobody is fighting over bathroom time, nobody is sleeping on a pull-out in the living room, and everybody wakes up within earshot of the Gulf. Start your mornings with coffee on the main deck, watching the water from the dining table while the gas grill warms up for breakfast. By the time you've eaten, the beach is calling — and it's literally twenty steps away. Spend afternoons in the surf, at the community pool, or settled into the bay window seat with a book from the home's collection. Evenings back on the deck, the sun dropping into the Gulf, your dog stretched out at your feet — this is what Cape San Blas is all about.
The main level is open and airy, with a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar with three barstools, a generous dining area, living room with sleeper sofa, a cozy bay window seat, and a half bath. The large beachfront deck with gas grill and dining set is where the group will naturally end up morning, afternoon, and evening.

You will need a car to get around, however, Cape San Blas has a great biking trail! You can rent bikes (kayaks and many other things) from Scallop Cove right there on the cape.
If you're looking for a quiet family and pet friendly vacation spot in the Florida Panhandle, this is the place to be! Avoid the crowds of Destin and Panama City! Cape San Blas doesn't even have a traffic light!
There are many activities to do in Cape San Blas, from kayaking and biking to fishing, horseback riding, and much more! You can rent bikes, kayaks, and lots more from Scallop Cove, right there on the Cape. St. Joseph Peninsula Park, with easy bay access, is right outside the gates to Barrier Dunes.
If you need a few grocery or beach items, visit the Cape Trading Post or Scallop Cove (on the cape). They also have great ice cream and fresh donuts!

This townhome is very well equipped and very close to the beach. I've stayed in other units in this complex and being this close to the beach is definitely a plus! We cooked in several nights and the kitchen had everything we needed to make nice seafood dinners. We brought our dog and she really enjoyed walking on the beach and meeting the many other dogs in the area. There are plenty of beach items available in the storage room and a hose is available for washing off sand.The only caution I would add is that the garage under the house is only 102 inches wide - so DO NOT try to park a fullsize truck or SUV under the house. If you did get it in there, you won't be able to open all the doors. Just leave it parked in the driveway like everyone else who has a large vehicle in this complex.My recommendations for the area. The best seafood meal is lunch at the St. Joe Shimp Company. They cook up the same seafood you buy at their seafood market. Best bar on the cape is Long Bills just down the street from Barrier Dunes (might be the only bar, but it is fun regardless!).

This house was absolutely stunning! It was a close walk to the beach with amazing views at an affordable price. The house came stocked with most of the beach equipment we needed for the entire trip. Gulf Breeze Getaway:After falling in love with the Cape at the end of January this year, I knew I had to come back for another stay when it was warmer! Just returned from a 4-day stay in the Gulf Breeze @ ! The unit itself was so very roomy and spotlessly clean. The loft area was a huge bonus even though we didn't have the grands with us this time. The view off the balcony over the Gulf was marvelous.We had spectacular weather with clear blue skies, little winds, and upper 70's/low 80's temps. Couldn't have asked for better conditions! Water temps were still a touch cool to swim except for the bayside at St. Joseph's State Park. The conditions there were perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, shelling, or just hanging out at the beach. HIghly recommend this area for families with young kids as the sandbars are terrific and shallow.We didn't do much exploration this go around - just content to vegetate on the beach and poolside but we did get out to do Coneheads, grabbed Low Country Boil from St. Joe's Shrimp, and grabbed breakfast at Shipwreck Raw Bar on the way out. We did do a grocery order for pick-up at Piggly Wiggly's in Port St. Joe which was ready before we go there for pick-up. Super easy and it allowed us to spend more time relaxing.I am already looking at going back during Scallop season for another stay and will definitely be using Cape Escapes with Wendy again! The service is impeccable and the stay is seamless from start to finish! I think next up will be the waterfront view offered at the Walking on Sunshine unit :)

It is now one of our favorite places to stay at Barrier Dunes.

Our stay was so wonderful. Great location, beautiful condo and wonderful hostess! We could not have asked for more. We saw and heard the Gulf from our living room and bedrooms. So easy to just run down the stairs to the white sandy beach. Everything we needed was available and ready for us...and our dogs. Wendy responded quickly to any request. I don't know how she does it!We all loved our stay at Gulf Breeze and would recommend it to anyone who loves beautiful beaches, soft Gulf breezes, friendly people and dogs, great nights of sleep and rest, and pretty accommodations. We truly enjoyed Gulf Breeze during our fall break from school. It was in excellent condition and very clean. I typically prefer ocean front views but the views from this unit were amazing as well, with the palm trees and ocean right behind them. Very close to the beach. We will definitely stay here again. Hope to make it back next summer for the 4th of July fireworks!

Everything about the Cape and this townhouse are wonderful. The beach is just a steps from the door (literally 1-2 minutes) to white sand beach and clear water. The home has everything you need and more. Beautifully updated and decorated. The only things you need are beach towels and toiletries. Without question, we would definitely stay here again.

This was are 7th year at Barrier Dunes and it was the best ever. Love the location so close to the beach, hope to always stay at Gulf Breeze 15, it had everything you might need and the service was the best. I asked Wendy if the palms could be trimmed and it was done the next day. To be able to sit on the deck and see the water and hear the waves is like heaven. Everyone who stayed wants to come back! Thank you for sharing your home with me and my family great memories!

I’ve been coming to the Cape since I was a little girl. Now, I get the pleasure of bringing my family every summer. Wendy made it happen this year with us renting a whole week and staying at the Gulf Breeze. The Gulf Breeze was very nice and relaxing. So close to the beach and pool. It was very nice stepping out on the top deck every morning and seeing the beach view. Everything that we needed was pretty much provided especially the buggy to take the beach ( such a life saver having to bring so much for our kiddos). Overall, we can not wait to book for our trip for next year already. We love CSB!
