This family/pet friendly unit has been completely remodeled from top to bottom in a sophisticated coastal contemporary theme. "INCREDIBLE" Gulf Views are available from the ultra chic living room and also from the master bedroom. No expense was spared during the remodeling of Pearly Whites and it overflows with luxury at the beach. Leeward Key is a highly desired, Gulf Front, pet friendly, 12 story condo building with stunning Gulf views and a private beach. It is one of the few Destin area properties with a pool right on the beach. The (seasonally-heated) pool has restrooms, outdoor showers and wifi. There is an additional pool on the north side of the condo building, which has outdoor gas BBQ grills. Leeward Key also has an onsite Fitness Facility and snack/DVD vending machines, and 2 elevators servicing its 12 floors.

We are close to restaurants, water sports, the Silver Sands Outlet Mall (largest in the south) and Destin Commons. Destin Commons is a unique, open-air village, featuring upscale shopping, casual and fine dining, and a 14-screen, stadium-seating movie theater located 1.5 miles west. You can safely bike with the kids along the paved bike paths for awesome beach views. Our favorite activity. Beach bike rentals are available on-site!
You can walk to either Captain Dave's On The Gulf, Kenny D's Grill & Beach Bar, or Pompano Joe's Seafood and sample some of the local seafood flavors or just to relax and sip on a cold one.

About the owner: Our very first road trip to Destin was in 1987. We immediately fell in love with the sugar white beaches and pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It was our little secret love nest that consisted mostly of walking on the beach and regular trips to the fish market. Well, Destin is no longer our little secret and we are very passionate about sharing all that it has to offer.
We have traveled extensively and "rented" property for our own family vacations. So we fully understand and appreciate the importance of finding a great location, having easy access to amenities, and a quality home that is clean and well maintained. In 2001 we took the plunge and purchased our first property in Destin and started living "The Dream". Eventually we moved to Destin full-time and started GULF911.
When we are asked why we manage the properties ourselves, it's a pretty easy answer; Who cares more about a property than the actual owners? Our properties are not "out of sight, out of mind" investments with an out of state owner that is managed by some large cookie cutter property management company. That is far from our approach. We live close to the rental properties and provide a hands-on approach with our guests and the properties. We even conduct our own weekly inspections! We also differ from the "herd" by regularly updating and upgrading our properties to keep the homes up-to-date and current. Since Betty has her Florida Real Estate license, it keeps us abreast of the most current trends in the housing and vacation rental markets.

Why this property? Absolutely one of the best locations in the Destin area. This 5th Floor unit has incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico. Leeward Key is one of the few condos that have a pool directly on the beach. As well, you can walk to several seafood restaurants and grab a cocktail too! This unit was completely remodeled in 2019. It's super swanky.

I felt like a queen staying in this newly renovated condo on the 5th floor. It was just me and my daughter getting away together and this unit exceeded our expectations. The views are just stunning. They have 2 pools and one sits directly on their private beach. We took advantage of the free chairs and umbrella set-up that came with the unit. We each had our own king bedroom with bathroom and they were first class. I used to do the interior design for as a custom home builder in Atlanta and this place was over the top. The location can't be beat either....we were able to walk next door to Kenny D's for lunch and then over to Captain Dave's for dinner. It was all right there. I don't watch much tv, but they were extremely large and each of us had one in our bedrooms. We would have our coffee in the master bedroom at the pub table and then a cocktail on the balcony for happy hour. We will be back. Thank you Jay & Betty for helping us reserve Pearly Whites. We will definitely be back.

I am done looking for a nice place to stay that is pet friendly. I am done looking for a beautiful view wonderful location a fabulous clean gorgeous condo. I am done searching for owners that truly care about their property and their renters. I am done waiting trying to find good communication with the property owners or managers. The SEARCH IS OVER I have found the most perfect most beautiful most wonderful pet friendly condo anyone could ever ask for. The condo had everything you needed I mean everything. The owners are so nice always there to answer any questions good communication I just can’t say enough about this place other than I want to go back soon! I want all of those families that have fur babies to know this is a great place and hope that everyone will treat this home like their own when they’re there so that all of us that love our pets will have a wonderful clean place to rent. Beautiful place & terrific location.
I slept like a baby at pearly whites and that was in the second bedroom! it really felt like the owner spared no expense in this beautiful place. It's every bit as pretty and comfortable as the pictures make it appear. Also, the beach is right there! We love the fact that the beach umbrellas and chairs were available right across the street with a beach attendant and that this building has a pool on the beach. I've never stayed in a place that has a pool beach side... it's pretty cool. We liked being able to go to dinner the night we arrived right next door at Kenny D's... a casual spot with the good food and good prices and we didn't have to drive anywhere.
