My wood-frame beach cottage was built in 1936, and was originally part of 6-8 cottages and a lodge house. It is the only surviving cottage, many having been taken by hurricanes. (Forward of the cottage’s beach, a street and an entire city block of the old subdivision are submerged beneath the Gulf of Mexico.) The cottage is a beautiful aqua color on the outside with green awnings and is also decorated Key West – Caribbean style inside. The front faces the street where it dead-ends, so it is private from the public, and the rear faces the Gulf. Also, there is a beach view from the cottage’s deck. From this view & the beach, if you are vigilant mornings & evenings, you will see 2 or more dolphins close in, patrolling the shallows. Then every evening, you will be treated to the sun setting into the Gulf’s sparkling blue waters. Finally, bring your binoculars to watch for dolphins, distant cruise ships, faraway freighters, and, if allowed by your significant other, wandering bikinis &, um, speedos.

This year marks our 3rd time staying at Walkers cottage. (Would have been 4th time but the hurricanes took care of last year.) Absolute paradise! Literally 50 steps to the beach to set up your chair! Breath taking views of the Gulf of America from the deck! Stunning sunsets! The cottage is truly an old Florida time capsule but updated to make for great accommodations. Everything is provided. Just bring your bathing suit and a couple of changes of clothes. Full equipped kitchen (if you want to cook) charcoal grill on the deck, Publix, Walgreens, beach gift shops, restaurants and free trolley within walking distance. We can't say enough about Libby, the host; she is absolutely amazing; just a phone call or text away!

This was our 3rd time staying at Walker Beach Cottage. My wife and I discovered this simply beautiful piece of paradise 4yrs ago, and returned for our anniversary getaway. Its everything we need for a week and more.We were excited to come back this year, cause last year 2 devastating hurricanes ripped through AMI destroying several places.I also can't say enough good things about Ms. Libby the host, she is amazing lady, she has made for sure we've been taken care of even while fixing her own hurricane damaged property. Dan W.30th Anniversary getaway
Very Awesome little cottage with all the necessities and more. Spoke with Ms. Libby on the phone a couple times, and she was quick to respond to text messages. My Bride of 30yrs and I looked for something quiet on the beach or a short walk to the beac. Walker Cottage provided just that. Spent all day on the beach til the beautiful sunset appeared over the Gulf of Mexico. We look forward to our next trip to AMI to stay at Walker Cottage.

We Loved this cottage! A little older style but perfect location and manager, owners and cleaning crew were outstanding. If I could afford it I would move in lol! Can’t wait to stay again. 30 second walk to watch the sunset in the beach every night.

We were married same month in year prior on this beach and just had to come back. We have this booked again next year. We just cannot get enough of this place, this year we actually got to relax and enjoy more of the beach as last year we were to focused on the wedding, we still enjoyed as the wedding was beautiful, just very busy. This year we just sat and watched the beauty around us and enjoyed making meals and seeing the ocean view as well as every night we would just sit and enjoy the sunset. Any questions we had we just sent email and a reply came back in a timely manner. Great people to rent from.

The first dune to the beach is 10 yards from your Deck. Where you can see the Gulf and listen to the waves all day and night long. This Cottage is appointed with all you need for a beach holiday. Family oriented beach fun is the flavor of the neighborhood with plenty of privacy. This adorable pet friendly cottage is a gem of a find.

Walker Beach Cottage has a superb location! A 5 to 10 second walk to the beach! A 1/2 mile walk along the Gulf water north will take you to Manatee Public Beach where you will find a café, gift shop, food, beverages, restrooms and entertainment nightly! Libby, the property manager, was a delight to work with when planning this trip! She was very kind and helpful and made me feel like we were very close friends although we’ve never met. The cottage has character! In some ways it shows its age and in otherways it is updated. And we will return to Walker Beach Cottage unless we find property to purchase in the Anna Maria / Bradenton area as we love traveling to this destination!!

The location was perfect, especially for a vacation with two little kids. Not much walking to get to the beach and we had everything we needed. We would go back in a heartbeat. The sunsets were beautiful from the cottage and the beach.

We found this gem and just had to have it. They supplied everything one could need. Didn’t use half the things as there was so much to choose from. Now we know for next time what was offered. Had a very small ceremony and the man watching other house we share parking with was very accommodation to our guests for parking. Would defiantly return. The cottage itself is older but kept up very nice.

Location location. Close to drugstore and holy cow ice cream ( visited every evening) Loved that we were right on beach but the cottage in front shielded us from the wind Everything we needed was there. Loved having two bathrooms Stayed with daughter and her husband and 20 month granddaughter. Afforded much privacy to all of us There was even a pack and play crib!!!! Would definitely stay again. This beach cottage is perfect. We have been coming here for the past 6 years. The location and privacy are awesome.Just a little walk between the sea oats to the wonderful white soft beach. The sunsets are amazing. Cottage is always comfortable and clean with all you will need provided. Libby is always an attentive host. Very comfortable king size bed, queen in second room. Shops and restaurants very close. Just come ! You will see !

This beach cottage was just what my family needed. We loved that we were right on the beach and could bike almost everywhere we needed. The area as a whole was very relaxing and quiet. The private walkway to the beach was perfect. Our family has been used to the condo scene and this was a welcome treat to be on a private beach and not surrounded by hundreds of people. My family loved this place and hope to be back next year. Libby was very helpful with everything we needed.

This was the best vacation I have had in a few years. It was so easy to schedule - Libby the cottage manager was excellent and so accommodating. The cottage was charming, very clean, and well equipped - I didn't need to purchase a thing. Its location is so close to many fantastic restaurants.The beach was only a few steps away with beautiful soft, white sand. And the Gulf water was soothing - so clear - just like being in the Caribbean. Watched Dolphins play (the only Dolphins that are playing this year - sorry Miami!) and pelicans and sea gulls soar. I will definitely be booking this place every year! Thanks for a great time!
