We had a great stay in Cape San Blas. Blue Skyes was lovely and gave us the perfect amount of space to enjoy time together and have much needed alone time as well.
The beach is a short walk through the complex. Deborah provides chairs, umbrella and a beach cart which makes staying on the beach all day a snap.
I look forward to returning to Blue Skyes and Cape San Blas.

We had a wonderful time! Not a bad walk to the beach or the pool. Kids were able to play on the play ground in front of the house. Very friendly people staying in the community there. Not a far drive up the road for great ice cream or mostly whatever else you might need in the spur of the moment. Deborah was fantastic she had some family trouble during our stay but was still at the touch of a phone away. We would definitely come back!!

Our family had a wonderful time at Barrier Dunes. The townhouse was well stocked with all of the necessities and more. The owner is extremely nice and helpful. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. We did take a golf cart with us which was very handy in transporting stuff to and from the beach, however, the walk to the beach is not a bad one. The area is extremely pet and kid friendly. We were there on July 4th and the fireworks were absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely make this a yearly destination!

Last minute get away.. Owner was very helpful, she worked with us on the dates so that we were able to go.. It was me, a 9 yr old, 2 yr. old & 5 month old.. Perfect for kids, they provided everything we needed.. From xbox, movies, games, beach toys, bikes, etc. very kid/family-friendly.. The weather kept us inside most of the trip... But there was plenty to keep the kids entertained.. Also ended up having to take my babygirl to ER.. with an ear infection... Owner was very helpful telling me the best place to take her as well as how to get there... We will not book any other property other than this one... Look forward to our next trip....Thank you!

I chose this beach because it is so non-commercial. I brought groceries with me and we had everything else we needed in the townhouse! I wish we had brought the dog, because it is obviously a pet friendly community . Can’t wait to visit again!

Spring Break 2016 was perfect! Three generations shared this townhome. Everything we needed for a week at the beach was at our disposal. There were beach chairs, an umbrella, sand toys, even a wagon that the kids rode in to the ocean. You can tell that the owners welcome children. They provided a high chair, baby gates, and a pack-n-play. There's a grill on the back porch in addition to a well equipped kitchen. You won't be disappointed here. We'll definitely be back!

After spending 6 weeks here it feels like I can't leave. Our first visit to the Cape and Barrier Dunes was more than we expected and we can't wait to get back. Everything in this townhome was perfect and everything we needed was at our fingertips. Deborah was super great to work with and we can't thank them enough for letting us use their home. The coastal decor made our stay more serene, the place was very quiet and secluded and everything was like a fairy tale that I did not want to end. I can't wait to get back to the cape next year and if this unit was available I would rent it in a heartbeat.

We have been renting places for our yearly vacations and have had many wonderful experiences; however, there are usually things that we would improve upon. This is so NOT the case with Blue Skyes -- our time spent there was absolute perfection!
Barrier Dunes is a lovely gated community with pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, fishing ponds and access to lovely, uncrowded white sandy beaches. Our family enjoyed the beauty of the area and the many opportunities to make treasured family memories. And it was pet friendly, so our canine family member was able to go on vacation with us!
We took our boat and were able to launch at the State Park that is just a mile or so from the entrance to Barrier Dunes. Snorkeling to find scallops was a highlight of the trip as well as finding giant sand dollars and conch shells. At night, roasting hot dogs on the beach and watching for sea turtles was a fun time. We also enjoyed that Barrier Dunes was safe enough for our boys to go all over the area on their bikes, or to play tennis, or swim.
We could not have asked for a nicer condo in which to stay, or more kind and helpful owners. The condo was beautifully decorated and furnished, very clean and well-maintained, and had all of the conveniences of home. The kitchen was fully furnished with whatever one might need. And there was good strong wireless to accommodate the occasional work email that we had to handle!
We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful visit to the beach in a beautiful beach home. It would be perfect for couples or families with children of any age.

My husband and I went with our friends, who have a small child. This townhouse was beautiful, and set up in a way, what we did not feel crowded at all. The whole place was very clean, and felt like home. Every last one of us was very pleased with our stay here. We took a boat with us, and there was a boat ramp about 5 minutes away. It is very accessible to the beach, pools, fishing, and even a nice little restaurant. There is a small store with groceries just down the road too. I would definitely stay here again. :)

My family and I stayed here back in July/Aug of 2013 and we loved every minute of it. The owners are so nice and they literally thought of everything you may need while vacationing at the beach. This townhome is very cozy and it felt very much like a home away from home. The kitchen was very well stocked. We cooked a lot and always had everything we needed. The local Dollar General store was a great place to shop for groceries. The owners were so nice to allow the use of their beach chairs, cart, toys, etc. My kids had a blast. We also enjoyed the convenience of Wi-Fi. We made memories to last a lifetime! The unit was clean, relaxing and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed having the playground right outside the front door. It was a short, nice walk to the beach and pools. We loved being able to bring our dogs with us as well. The whole area is so nice!! Such a peaceful vacation! We look forward to staying here again!! Hopefully soon!!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and were thoroughly impressed by this unit. We brought food to cook there every night and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. The master bedroom and bathroom were large and the bed was so comfortable! Deborah was very easy to work with and cared about making our stay great. It is a short walk to both pools and the beach. We will definitely be staying here every time we return to the Cape.Thanks for the great stay!

We stayed for a week in this beautiful condo. We have been coming to Barrier Dunes for five years, and this condo had tons of extra little touches that made it wonderful. This is the first kitchen that I have cooked in that had everything I needed. Normally I have to go and buy pans or stuff that is missing, but not here. They had everything you could think of! The decor is beautiful and relaxing. The movie selection is great and kept my kids entertained during rest and rain time. What a blessing this home away from home was for us. I would highly recommend this unit, and you won't find sweeter owners!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Blue Skyes. the condo is very well equipped and appointed. All the comforts of home. Very clean when we arrived, we appreciated the nice extras like doggie towels at the front door, some bottled water already there, some cleaning supplies, paper plates, paper towels, etc. The beach is gorgeous here! The walk is short from the condo to the beach. Our dogs loved the beach and were very comfortable in the condo. The location of this unit is nice. More private then other locations and the little playground out front was fun for the kids staying here. Everyone in the development was very friendly and the development was also super dog friendly with doggie stations all around. A really nice family vacation! Comfortable beds and furniture as well! Lovely place!

After spending four years at Barrier Dunes, and meeting many of the other winter and spring regulars, we have determined that the owner is the most important consideration. Our Blue Skyes owner is the best. If a problem is encountered, Deborah and Roy are always available to remedy the situation immediately. The unit is tastefully furnished, the location is more private near the back of the complex, and the sun hits the back deck most of the day. The beach is only a three minute walk.
We have reserved another two month stay during February and March, 2013. Next year wil be our third annual commitment to these very special owners. We are extremely happy to be accepted by them again. My wife and I would certainly encourage any responsible families searching for a neat and clean Barrier Dunes condo to rent this particular unit.

My twelve year old niece, two year old Springer Spaniel and I just returned from our stay at this unit. The unit is in wonderful condition and has a homey feel to it. Deborah was extremely quick in getting back with each of my emails questioning her about the unit prior to us leaving for our trip. This gave me alot of confidence in her as I was renting a place that I had never seen in person before. Upon our arrival, we were highly impressed with the cleanliness and appeal of the unit. The pictures on here do not do the condo justice at all!!! The complex is very nice and our unit was tucked away in the front so we felt we had tons of privacy. At night before bed, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony enjoying the peaceful pines and all the beautiful stars in the sky!!! I highly recommend this vacation condo. We are definitely planning to return next year. My dog really enjoyed the gorgeous beach. He slept all the way home (4 hours) yesterday and still seems to be tired today. It is awesome to be able to find such a nice place where my dog can enjoy vacation too!!!

As Dorothy said~ "There's no place like HOME while clicking her ruby slippers & heading to the EMERALD COAST." My family & I felt this way as soon as we walked in the front door. Everything you need is provided by the owners, even for a rainy day~dvd's, children's toys, board games, books,internet. It's a nice short walk to the beach, pools, tennis courts & great ice cream shop. Playground area in front of townhome. Most relaxing family friendly place in the area. Weekend visits or week long visits this is the place to be!

Have been going to Cape San Blas for over 15 years a very special quiet slice of paradise. Went for a short week and stayed here. The owners were fantastic they worked with on the dates and even let us get in early which is a rarity in this area. The unit is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for cooking, sleeping, and all the beach supplies you need. Has a little playground in front for kids. Barrier Dunes is a very well kept community and has a alot areas that kids can play in and still be in the communitys area. Best of all it is right at the entrance to the State park. We enjoyed a month in this unit in February, 2011. The accomodations were excellent, and the cleanliness impeccable. All of the kitchen utensils were amply provided. The washing and drying machines were excellent. These are all reasons for our return next year for two months, February and March. The best part is the owners are very honest and/or trustworthy.
Needless to say, we were very impressed with our stay in this particular unit.

Our stay at Blue Skies was a wonderful experience. The home was immaculate and charmingly decorated. The neighborhood is dog friendly, very well kept and the neighbors are so friendly! I have rented several times from VRBO and this is the first rental that I thought was deserving of a review. My daughter and I enjoyed everything on this trip.....the home, the beach, the weather...it was a fabulous experience! We are leaving tomorrow and neither of us want to go home! The good news is that we'll be back!

My family, including our baby and two dogs, had a great time at Blueskyes! SO many things were provided in this unit that we needed...high chair, pack 'n play, towels, internet access, umbrellas, etc. It made traveling much easier and made us feel right at home! The kitchen was fully stocked, so we could enjoy many of our meals without going out. The beach was not crowded and the whole family had a blast, especially the baby and dogs! Everything was immaculate and comfortable, which made for a very relaxing vacation. We loved this unit and will definitely be back!!!
