Summers Dreams, your luxurious vacation home, is located in a very well-kept, private gated community called Emerald Waters Village in Miramar Beach, FL.
In the spring of 2019 we upgraded several rooms in our home and replaced beds and bedding, among other things. The pictures you see were taken after the updates.
Our beautiful, family-oriented, home is a three-story, 5000 square foot luxury 7 bedroom home - professionally designed to allow for 3 – 4 families to make wonderful vacation memories together – just as our family does. Our home has comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 22 people in beds. 24 guests maximum in our home.
We worked with a professional designer to assist with making our home as beautiful as possible. Custom colors throughout our home gives it an elegant beach vibe. We purchased high quality furnishing and bedding for the entire house. Rohn, Tommy Bahama, Broyhill Pottery Barn, Donna Karen and Ralph Lauren home just to name a few.
A whole house Sonos sound system is included.
We have custom paintings and art pieces from local artists throughout our home. Our super high ceilings make our home feel very spacious.
The well-appointed first floor holds a stunning foyer, crown molding (which is located throughout the entire home), a huge family room with plenty of seating and a flat screen TV, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the patio and pool, dining room (one table holds 8 people and another table holds 6 people, with seating for 10 people on the patio). You read that correctly. We wanted to make sure everyone could eat together if you wanted to! We include a high chair and two booster seats for little ones.
Enjoy upscale amenities in the fully loaded gourmet kitchen: stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops (2 stools at the counter), regular coffee pot as well as a Keurig, dishwasher, ice maker and all the cooking utensils, dishes, glasses and silverware needed to cook a gourmet meal for your family and friends. People have held their family’s Thanksgiving dinner in this spacious area.
Our family-oriented home also includes a regular sized crib in first floor king suite, pack-and-play in one of the 2nd floor king suites and another pack-and-play in the closet of the king suite on the 3rd floor. We also include an umbrella stroller! As well as games and huge bean bags on the 3rd floor.
Also, on the 1st floor is a very spacious and lovely king master suite which has two walk-in closets (heated and cooled where a crib is located), a large flat screen TV and the master bathroom has a wonderfully large walk-in travertine natural stone shower, a soaker tub and a two-bowl granite sink. This is perfect if you have older family members who have trouble climbing steps.
The pool is one of the largest in the area. There is a large 18" deep shelf for babies and toddlers to enjoy with Mom and Dad. The large shelf is often home base for games our kids play in the pool. Our covered patio area allows family to be outside with everyone without being in the sun. We have lounge and Adirondack chairs around the pool.
The pool area includes a pergola area that has a round table with three chairs and a large gas grill. For safety, both patio gates by the pool latch automatically so little children cannot get to the pool area unattended. There is a shower head in the driveway to rinse off the sand when returning from the beach.
Destin has the whitest and cleanest beaches in the world. When you are ready to sink your toes in the sugary sand, there is a private beach entrance that is only a three-minute walk away for Emerald Waters Village visitors. There is a 3-way stop at the corner where you cross the street to our private beach entrance which makes it safer to cross. And the walk is easy for small children.
The second floor has three lovely and tranquil king bedrooms suites with private bath and flat screen TVs. All bathrooms have walk-in natural stone showers and granite counters. There is a pack and play in one of the heated and air-conditioned large closets of one of the king suites. Perfect for little ones. You can plug in a baby monitor in the closet to listen for and watch your baby as well.
The 2nd floor also includes a Billiards room with an 8 foot pool table, leather love seat, 60" SmartTV and 6 chairs. The room is for families wanting to hang out and enjoy some time together. There is a small refrigerator and granite counter top with an ice bucket so you can have cold drinks in the room.
We also provide a large covered patio (11 feet by 16 feet) off the 2nd floor family room that overlooks the pool area. This patio includes a couch and two large comfortable chairs. It's the perfect place to get away and read a magazine or book. Teenagers also love using this balcony when they a break from the little ones.
The 3rd floor includes our 3rd family room that is designed to be kid friendly. We have a king suite bedroom on the 3rd floor as well as a private hall bathroom. There are two darling bunk rooms painted in bright colors. Each bunks room has 4 bunk beds and dresser and closet. There is a Jack and Jill bathroom between one of the bunk rooms and the king bedroom suite. The king bedroom suite is a good size room and is decorated in greens and blues with flat screen TV, dresser and closet. The person(s) in this room can use the hall bath for their private bath.
The large family room includes a flat screen with DVD, pull-out couch, two huge bean bags that holds 2-3 kids (each). We also have a Foosball table. In the hallway is a 16-foot shuffleboard table for competition games. There is a table for four where kids can play cards, color or whatever they want.
If you are still reading our description thank you! Our home is perfect for families of all sizes and has more room that most other rental homes that will prove to be much appreciated by the end of the week. We also rent our own home so you are working directly with the owner on everything. We respond quickly to any and all issues before or during your stay.
Unique Benefits
We cater to families with children. The master suites have portable cribs in the large closets. The closets have heating/cooling vents in them and electrical outlets for baby monitor and a night light.
We also have a high chair available.
The kids floor does not have a balcony so you never need to worry about them getting hurt.
Each adult bedroom has a private bathroom, as well as a TV. Giving you some quite time when you need/want it.
This house is also designed for larger groups. The floor plan is very open, with lots of seating for everyone.
We are also the only house in our community with 4 parking spaces for your cars.
Why Kids Love It
Gated community so they can walk around or ride their bikes without having to worry about a lot of traffic.
They can use the pool day or night and the deep end if 5' deep so they can jump in all they want.
The kids floor! 3rd floor is all about younger guests. And you can hear them from the 1st floor so you'll know if there are any issues.
Close to the beach and walking trail on the beach road.
Our amazing beach is a hit with all the kids.
Area Information
Our home is in the perfect location. We are located in a wonderful gated community so traffic is kept to a minimum. The beach is a short walk away and we have our own entrance to our private beach.
There is a walking/biking path next to the beach road that run the entire length of the beach road. Perfect for walking, biking or running.
Both Silver Sands outdoor shopping and Destin Commons outlet mall are short drives from our home.
We have over 4 beautiful golf courses within a 10 minute drive from our home as well.

About the owner: Thank you for thinking about renting our Destin home! Our home, Summer Dreams, has been our dream for several years.
We built this house to enjoy with our family and friends. This is not a normal rental property. We wanted a place that no one would forget.
Our daughters are active in all sorts of activities. So, like you, our lives are very busy. The beach gives us a chance to unplug and relax.
We do not rent to just anyone. We are only willing to rent to families that will treat our home like it was their own. We have no interest in renting to college kids (or by their parents).
We love the idea of families coming together and making memories. That's why we have a master suite on the first floor. It allows you to bring the grandparents!
We promise the pictures you see are indeed what is in the house. We bought beautiful furniture. You are going to love it. We did not skimp on any area of the house. At least we tried not to.
My wife wanted a nice private pool area, I wanted a 'man room' and the girls wanted a game room. Well, we decided to add all three. This house has everything you need to enjoy yourself.
So relax, have fun, and make some memories.

Cancellation Policy
We always recommend purchasing travel insurance that meets your needs. We will provide a full refund if your reservation is cancelled at least 6 months before your rental date. We do not provide refunds based on illness or government lockdowns. We are happy to help you move your reservation to a different week.
How close is the beach
We are an easy 3 minute walk to the beach. And you cross the beach road at a 3 way stop so it's very easy and safe to cross over to our gated entry.

“Summer Dreams” is the most amazing house! Eighteen of our family just recently spent our 3rd fall break in this beautiful, immaculately clean, super close to the beach house. We all love it and it feels like ours when we are there. The owners, Gregg and Margaret, are such nice people and easy to communicate with. You’ll get a quick response to your questions and any minor issues you might have will be reconciled quickly.Now about the house…although we all thought it was incredible before, this year when we arrived we found several great updates! New paint and a brand new awesome refrigerator were great surprises! To us this just shows how much the owners care about their home and want to make it more comfortable for their renters. We are a cooking family and they have quality pots and pans, knives, dishes, etc., which makes our time in the kitchen more enjoyable, The large living room has nice, comfortable furniture. The pool and outside area is loved by our grandchildren of all ages. They eat every meal at the two tables on the patios! Because of this, we usually have a puzzle going on one of the two large dining tables! And finally, we love the 5 king bedrooms (4 with a private bath) and 2 double bunk rooms!Thank you, Gregg & Margaret!

Many thanks to our host! Greg was awesome answering all my questions regarding our booked trip to the home. This house was beautiful inside and out. Tastefully decorated and plenty of room for our family of 17, ranging in age from 8 to 42. Beach time was a quick walk which is an added plus then using security codes to enter through gate. There were no unexpected surprises Greg was very thorough with instructions and information prior to our visit. Many "best times ever" for the young and older! This was our second time staying at the Summer Dreams house, because it is so amazing! Gregg and Margaret put so much thought into planning this house for families. The grandparents have a room on the first floor, the rest of the adults enjoyed the second floor with spacious rooms and en suites, and the kids had a blast having the 3rd floor all to themselves! The giant bean bags were a huge hit. The decor, furniture, and bedding looks upscale, yet was very comfortable. The outdoor space is equally fantastic. There is a huge, covered balcony on the second floor. This was a favorite spot for the adults after the kids went to bed. The pool is large and has a shelf built in to sit on or for the younger kids to play on. There are 2 table outside, with one very large, so there is a place for everyone. They also had a grill which was super convenient. The garage is accessible from the pool area and driveway, and has an extra fridge, multiple beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach toys, and even a cart for on the sand. You don't need to bring anything for the beach! They have you covered which is great if you are flying and have limited space to pack. There is an outdoor shower with warm water; perfect for rinsing off all the sand from the beach. The house is stocked with baby/kid necessities including crib/pack n play, high chair, booster chair, and even step stool for the sinks. They truly thought of everything a family with children could need. Lastly, the location is perfect. You are in a quiet, gated community which is comforting. The neighborhood has a walkway to get out to the sidewalk and you basically just cross the street (3 way stop, so easy to cross) where you enter the beach through a private entrance. It was always easy to find a spot because it is far enough away from the main public beach/parking lot. It is in walking distance to many restaurants, ice cream, and the big Alvin's gift shop. We unfortunately had to go to urgent care while there and it was minutes away. The location can't be beat. Gregg and Margaret are incredibly responsive and easy to work with. You can tell they take great pride in this home, as they should , because it is amazing. I would 10/10 recommend this home. Book it! You won't regret it. We are looking at coming back a 3rd time.

My wife and I planned our 50th wedding anniversary with our entire family of 15, and this house was everything the owners said it would be. There was not one bad experience the entire week as it relates to location, condition of house, pool, shuffleboard, short walk to the beach. My kids and grandkids loved the house. Location is excellent and other than a short walk to the beach, there was fun and games at the house. You really do not have to leave the house to had fun in Destin, The best way to describe the week was FANTASTIC. Glad I made this house our choice.

Our family of 12 - ranging in ages from 5 to 60's - had EVERYTHING we needed. The house is furnished beautifully and smartly. On a rainy day, there were plenty of activities inside of the house for everyone to participate in, from table games to movies to shuffleboard table to pool! The salt-water pool and deck with grill proved to be an area where the family congregated. Everyone had their own bedroom with accompanying bathroom, so that was a hit from the start! The WiFi was flawless and FAST! The 3-minute walk to the beach was easy, quick, and safe for the smaller ones. Of course, everyone loved the white sand beaches. There are a good variety of restaurants and shopping within just a few minutes of the house, but if you decide to stay in, the kitchen is fully stocked with what is needed to cook a meal. The Destin area is a beautiful area; this house and location is hard to beat for a large family and we'd stay here again!

The pictures of this house were awesome but seeing it in person was even better. I am very particular (obsessive might be a better term) about cleanliness and this house was absolutely immaculate. So a shout out to Heather who cleans this huge house. Everything about this home was just perfect. There were only four adults and two children in our group so we had so much room. All of the bedrooms were set up so nice - comfortable beds, awesome sheets, and every one had it's own bathroom. We enjoyed the pool so much and it was perfect for the kids. The gate for accessing pool was such a nice feature for peace of mind with the kids. Getting to the private beach was just a short walk and so beautiful. There is a flight of stairs once you get through the gate to get on the beach. So make sure you have a couple adults to help if you take the wagon to tote your beach stuff. Gregg and Margaret were so easy to work with and the entire process from beginning to end was effortless. We have rented several very nice homes in Florida and this was by far the best. The house is in a very nice quiet gated neighborhood. There is no doubt that we will try to book this beautiful home again in the future.

Unbelievable rental property. We were so impressed with this home. Really close to the beach and has chairs and umbrellas for personal use. Fantastic large pool with pool toys. We a 2 yr and 4 yr old with us and the house had all the entertainment to keep them busy, especially for 2 days during the storm. The home was so well built, we didn't even hear the overnight storm. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing their home with us!

This house was amazing! There were only 4 adults and 2 children, but so much more room for multiple families. The house was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The house is in a wonderful gated community and felt safe. The walk to the beach was so easy, just down the street. The kids loved the bunk beds. The only downside was the bunk rooms were on the top floor, and 3 flights of stairs with a bad knee was kinda difficult. An elevator would have been nice, haha. The pool was perfect!. We loved the ledges in the pool. I spent most of the time relaxing on them, and my kids loved jumping off them into the pool. My son, almost 4, learned how to swim without any floaties thanks to the ledges, since he couldn't touch the bottom. This house was everything we could have ever asked for, in a perfect location, with a private beach. Absolutely perfect! Would definitely recommend this rental, and hope to stay here again on our next trip.

Our trip to Destin in July 2020 was perfect! Our house was called Summer’s Dreams in the Frangista neighborhood. The walk to the beach took only a few minutes. There were beach buggies provided that carried our cooler and chairs. We spent every day at the beach with the exception of 1 rainy day. That day we did some local shopping. During our time at the beach house in the evenings, there was plenty to keep our group of 20 people busy. (ranging from age 6 mo to 68 years old). Between the pool, shuffleboard, foosball and the pool table, we were never bored. The house was well set up. The furniture was nice and the beds were comfortable. Even the bunk beds!! Overall we could not have been happier with our stay at Summer’s Dreams in Destin!! Thank you Gregg and Margaret for your hospitality!!

This house was everything we wanted in a vacation home. With the large group of people staying together we needed a spacious layout. Never felt crowded even after 6 day's together. Plenty of seating for in "home" dining. The pool is beautiful at night sitting by or swimming in. The sunself is a awesome spot to sit with a little one or tan. The walk to beach was quick and had stop sign's that help you get across the street quickly. Destin has the most unbelievable water the ocean has to offer. Gregg had beach stuff ready and waiting for us. He was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. This was our second time renting and it will NOT be our last. We are very thankful the Smith family is willing to let us make memories in their home.

This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL house. Very big and spacious. There were 24 of us and there was plenty of room and things to do for everyone. The owners were awesome to communicate with. We were quite impressed with the gated community and the walk to the beach was very easy (especially considering we had alot of kiddos). The house has everything you could imagine you would need. Pool area was great. Will definitely book from these owners next time we come to Destin, FL.
